US Club rankings are more of a joke than this forum, and I am a parent on a top team. What about LaxMagazine? Do you find them more accurate or are they both unreliable? I notice several big differences.

The rankings are all garbage. the website states: Rankings are determined using these factors: Win %, Opp Win %, Opp Opp Win %, bracket placement (A or B brackets), & Overall Tournament Strength. YJ Spallina listed as 1, but they only played in 1 tourney against some garbage teams, while Heros/MND/Pride/Skywalkers, etc have been playing all summer and fall. Hero’s, M&D and SW really didn’t even have a tournament where they played each other! No tourneys really have Championship brackets and they were all in different flights/colors/brackets. All tourneys this year been odd, playing weird teams weird brackets. 2020 is a wash. Lots of A teams anB teams mixing together.

rankings are normally bad, but these are worse than normal. By my count at least 4 teams are included in these rankings twice.
In fairness with non mid-atlantic teams not travelling much outside the 22/23s, this is probably the most MD centric rankings every.

Why is there so much detest for Spalding? I mean isn't part of building a program recruiting players, coaches and building up facilities and booster funds? They seem to be doing a good job of that. Or are all of you Baltimore prep school cronies who still roll around wearing your alumni gear 30 years after you graduated and need to beg your parents to help pay your kids tuition feeling a little threatened? Spalding has one of the best football, soccer, and baseball programs in the region. Their basketball team was once the best in the area and is head back in that direction. Their girls sports are all ranked in the top 10. So why couldn't they do the same with lacrosse? Unless you live in Towson, Baltimore or along the 83 corridor all of the "traditional" schools are a pain to get to. The school is perfectly located for people in the Annapolis, HoCo, PG and South/West and East Baltimore. From a facilities, athletics, education and cost perspective, Spalding is equal to Calvert Hall, JC and Loyola. So why so much grief?

They ask for that schedule so when kids are looking for a club team they can say their record is good while Heros and M&D beat each other up !

How did the Women Indoor National Championship in VA go? Unfortunately, our team couldn't be there due to covid. I think most of the teams were missing players, but Skywalkers Blue came out looking good and won. Looks like they added some talent at midfield and a new goalie. All of the big games were really close so there may be a good Spring season ahead.

Indoor lacrosse, especially with goalie restarts tend to be goalie contests so I am not sure how much you can really read into this.

The Indoor National Championship was a total hack job, was a total waste of time and energy. In the future, lets not have former SW parents refereeing games involving SWs teams. Congrats to Skywalkers.

Both teams that lost to them had opportunities to win their games regardless of the refs. That said, watching both games again MnD and Hero's it seemed like there were more calls that went for SW than the other 2 teams. That happens in sports and teams must overcome.

Refs down in NoVa are notoriously bad. Not necessarily slanted, just not up to par, which depending on where their deficiency lies, could favor a style of play. There's a few good ones we hear, but the rest aren't top tier even if they've been at it for a while. They would probably save the good ones for the HS games. Play this tourney up in PA as usual with different refs and you may get a different outcome. All teams had to overcome the same obstacles, so congrats to SW.

US Lacrosse Nationals is a waste of time and money. Just call it the Yellow Jackets Invitational? They are the only team that participates.

It’s a waste of time because you will be the only #1 team there. The other 3 #1 teams will be doing something more productive!

The 25 class has a lot of talent across the board. Like all classes they have their fare share of Really good players but overall there is a lot of quality players. That said which high schools public/private are most of the girls in this class heading? should make for some good hs games the next 4 years.

We have been out of normal sports for almost a year now, so correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t think anyone remembers nor cares what parents were like two years ago. But to answer your question, no, McD parents will always wear that crown, and don’t care either.

Anyone have experience with the All America Games by Brine? https://allamericagames.com/Looks like they are not having a tryout this year, but first come first serve. Is this a money grab ($499) or was it good coaching and good competition?

It's a nice opportunity to get in some more lacrosse though. Here is the new best money grab and possibility for some great lacrosse. https://americanselectlacrosse.com/

If you have the money to waste and don’t get bent out of shape easily, then go for it, however do not expect team play of any kind. You are paying $500 for me ball
