Wow, somebody sure has a hard on for VLC. But you are right that they would have a rough time in elite, as would NextLevel, and FCA. I have no clue about 91 but according to this board they have regressed. So should elite be a 4-5 team division this year?

Cmon VLC dad- losing 0-13 to a team from Colorado in November?? FCA not elite anymore and NXTLevel won the B division in Fall HOCO. BLC was missing its best players. Looneys won Fall HOCO and VLC lost to them 1-5. You got drubbed twice by Crabs . Beating up zingos and roughriders dont make you elite. You really want to go winless in the elite bracket?? You think that is good for your boys? Good luck. So VLC's fall wins don't prove anything because opponents were not full strength, but for its blowout loss, you assume that VLC had its full team? Ok whatever. It is interesting that you track the scores so closely of a team that (I assume) your son it not on - why is that?

VLC also beat looneys in the last seconds in a fall tourney. There is argument for VLC to be in Elite. My sons team has played VLC 3 times in the fall. They were/are a good team! Your son’s team must be mediocre. VLC is not elite. Just because they are owned by Crabs doesn’t mean they belong in the elite division.

VLC needs more holdbacks. Playing with only 2 holdbacks doesn't help in an elite division where everyone has a lot more.

Your son must be so proud of your maturity talking smack about 12 year old lacrosse players.

In 2019 the former API Diamondbacks 2026 team went winless in the top bracket. That team disintegrated during the summer and now gone.
Crabs were 1-6 and FCA 2-5 in 2019. All this info is on the GHOCO website. The rumors from this board insinuate that crabs have reloaded with 2025 kids to compete in spring 2021. FCA may have imploded this Fall.
VLC and Next Level be careful wishing for elite placement. Yeah mommy and daddy will be crowing about how their kid made it to elite but getting drubbed every Sunday will lax off the parents and make the ride home to Fairfax or Bethesda unpleasant for the little guys. If VLC and Next Level have deep rosters with elite players then go for it. If they rely on a few studs and have weak benches then play in the next bracket. No kids have fun losing 15-3

No kids have fun losing 15-3 Spot on post and thank you for bringing some 'normalcy' to the conversation. I am kind of surprised Crabs 2026 is getting holdbacks now; typically you see this as they enter into their Freshman Year in HS. So my assumption is more will be coming to that 2026 team and the Crabs along with the Hawks will be the two programs competing for the #1 spot. What happened to FCA? Everyone knows this club is a feeder program for Calvert Hall; why the dramatic drop-off? My guess here is this team will reload at some point utilizing the crabs philosophy. Personally I think VLC can compete but Next Level should not be thinking about elite level lacrosse at this age group.

So does this mean that HoCo elite will be a 5 team division: Hawks, Crabs, Looneys, BLC, and MadLax?

Yes...with 91, FCA and VLC being bottom feeders. The other 4 teams above will battle for second place behind MIGHTY HAWKS

Yeah Hawks! And remember, they have "very few" holdbacks and the only reason their kids are bigger and win all the time is that they train so much harder.

I think at this point they have been identified by birthdate position and shoe size on this thread and New York. You should probably focus on your sons team and stop letting another program live in your head rent free all day.

Why dont you just ask the parents on the sideline. Most of them will tell you and heck they will tell you why. its not some secret that anyone needs to keep just like Crabs, FCA and Looneys this has been happening for years. If you tell me they dont do it on Long Island just look at the 91 Crush video and tell me several big name kids are clearly stated 2022 and then just committed as 2021 this year

The Hawks dad was being sarcastic Not exactly; he was saying that the "four holdback" narrative has been repeated by so many Hawks Dads on so many threads that it should be accepted fact. The reply was saying that the kids' ages have not been and never will be proven, so people can decide whether Hawks Dads on anonymous boards are a credible source.

If you look at the New York thread and this thread it has been identified at least twice on each as a defender, a middie and 2 attackman. Someone was crazy enough to list their birth dates as well. If you can't take that for what it is then good luck. The original post was sarcasm. It is brought up so many times it won't be hard to find.

Not that hard My son plays on one of these listed teams and they are not participating in the WSYL due to the amount of holdbacks on the team. The only team that is playing to my knowledge are the Annapolis Hawks. 🤔

Just because you are a holdback it doesn’t mean you are an impact player.
Sometimes the on age players are the ballers. Go on YouTube and watch a tigers XXVI game if you don’t believe me.
Their team was put together solely to participate in WSYL and they destroyed a holdback Madlax team this past fall.
Now when a team goes from being non competitive to a top two team overnight like the Crabs did, then you know the holdbacks they added are the big difference.
So if your team is great because of your holdbacks, enjoy your time in the sun. It will vanish in less than 24 months and we will be having a different conversation then about who the best teams are.
Am I wrong?
Let’s hear from the parents with older boys that have already been through the puberty journey.

New York teams with mostly public school on age kids. Typically not held back until they repeat 8th grade.
