Better deal to stay!! What a joke! Considering leaving a club because your kid isn’t good enough to make the A team and going to another club just to do so instead of encouraging your kid to work hard and make the A team on their current club is a joke. Amazing parenting going on here, Don’t work hard honey, those mean kids are better than you but we will take our B/C level talents and just find another place for you to be the best, or better yet we will start our own team... These are the same parents whose kids fail algebra and they call the principal and blame the teacher!!! Yeah definitely. Let’s stay on a B team where most coaches don’t care and only show up for a paycheck. Let’s stay on a B team where the club doesn’t care about us and puts us in garbage tournaments. Let’s stay on the B team where we have a new coach every couple of years. Let’s stay on a B team where we pay the same amount of money as the A team but get half the stuff. Bottom line is these bigger clubs don’t care about their second teams. If they did, more kids and parents would stay

Exactly why you were not offered a better deal! Stop your nonsense about being given input on a new coach and what you were given to stay. Nobody gave you anything. Nobody cares about your kid and what you think they have to offer. If you really cared about her development you’d be telling her to get on the wall instead of posting inflammatory nonsense all day.

You may have “ZERO” interest, but your Director sure does based on the number of phone calls she’s made.
Get ready to play a game of lacrosse survivor with your daughter and her friends because these four will play and someone will be voted to the purple team.
Unfortunately the parents are playing into this
Yes they are
Did you figure out which four are getting moved down yet? What about the four girls who are no longer going to start? What about the discounted tuition they got when you paid full price last year and got nothing? If you didn’t make the travel roster does that mean you are out? Better put that lofty ranking on FB before you get moved to purple.
Good luck playing on Purple without a goalie. I heard they were going to rotate the field players into the net. But yeah, the parents can still say their daughter plays for an 'elite' program. nonsense
Add Legacy Teal to that list also. Don't blame the programs they're just businesses trying to make money. Blame the sheep that keep throwing their disposable income at these clubs.
Club Director: "Hmmm. We have twenty kids that are really not good at lax and have no shot to play in HS nevermind college, but want to throw $3GER at me to make up a (B/Combined 25/26 Team). I think I'm going to turn that $60K to my program down and just let YJ make a F team*." Said no one ever.
*also YJ already has an F team it's called Galvin, and yes I know there's no D or E team.
It is well known most B teams in big clubs get shafted. It's not a secret except to the parents on the B team. They figure it out though.

Every blind squirrel finds a nut now and then, especially in a nonsensical 7v7 play day format when you load up your team with your best kids against jabronis worse half. If that's your claim to fame, professor alphabet has assignment for you, find a new team. Jabroni -12.5 in a real game, and that's because they lay off you at the end because you're the F team.

Wow, I am not a YJ parent, but as an outsider looking in the amount of animonsity between each level team is insane. Why do you guys love to non stop insult each other. You are living through your daughters club lacrosse team and bullying each other through online chats. and you wonder why the YJ brand is not well liked throughout the lacrosse community? it has nothing to do with the kids as I'm sure they are all just like our kids.

So YJ F’s “best” beats YJ C’ “worst” in 7v7, wow, Sounds like some roster shuffling going to happen!! Good for TG, Jesters and Legacy when these parents with false opinions of their kids abilities go looking for other clubs. To bad CR wouldn’t hold tryouts this year, maybe more to this story than covid...

Not sure about that. If this is the case then those girls would be on Spallina’s team. Isn’t that how this works? Top 25 kids go to A and the next 25 to B, then, C, etc.

Not a chance....... and I know that bc the Spalina team regularly splits in 2 for these 7v7 tourneys and if anyone ever beat them it would have been plastered all over this site. you’re pretty delusional

Spallina Does not split the teams in 2. They will have 2 teams in the 7 v7 but a lot of the girls play on both teams. FACT. Their schedule usually allows for it. They play to win & they win. We they blow teams out which they often do they play everyone.
Judging by past experience YJ/TG normally shuffle the rosters some but hopefully, we don’t get the short end of it like the older teams. SS is very experienced & knows this is typically the last year for real movement. Like all coaches, SS is trying to improve her teams. She has gotten more involved with us which is Super exciting & it showed in MD ZERO interest in adding 4 with headaches AND realizes they over HYPING themselves. If we lose a few girls we’ll fill in. BIZ as usual Hopefully, everything works out for girls b.c. Jumping around must be hard; they need to be happy!
Jesters & Bandits are trying to make a big push but it’s probably too late for the 25s and they don’t really play any good Tourneys. You may have “ZERO” interest, but your Director sure does based on the number of phone calls she’s made. Get ready to play a game of lacrosse survivor with your daughter and her friends because these four will play and someone will be voted to the purple team. Unfortunately the parents are playing into this They just need to make a decision and. make a move This got AWFULLY quiet hmmmm

CR will just pull up four new players who will step right in to their spots and it will be like nothing ever happened. Not sure why it hasn’t happened already or people are pretending that it’s not happening. Denying it like they have to people’s faces is only going to make them look worse when it finally goes down.

Apex showcases..... Are these worth the money to check out? Generally No. For a 25 this early in the process, heck no. These showcases have the most value for girls who play for under the radar clubs. Reality noone from a top maryland club or even a B club don't really have exposure issues. The only showcase I have seen with some value is Lacrosse Masters, which is great for girls targeting NESAC (top new england private schools in D3).

Agreed that for 2025, this is early in the process but showcases are vital for all players, regardless of the club you play for, especially now more than ever. The CB Laxers NY Showcase on January 10th has a lot of NESCAC’s attending and other perennial power D2/D3 colleges. They also run other great showcases but this is a good one to get a taste for what showcases are like for the future but will also help to get on the coaches radars.
