I like how you slipped Limestone (44% acceptance rate, not even listed in my kid's "Best 381 Colleges" book) into your list and that you had the stones to list it ahead of Middlebury, Tufts, Notre Dame, etc... Looks like in your rankings good old Limestone got edged out by Georgetown this time around, maybe next year....

Yup my son went to Widener, then to Georgia Tech for masters on full academic scholarship.

Tell that to all the kids who go to colleges like Randolph Macon to play lacrosse. They aren’t gonna do anywhere near as well as you supposedly say you are.

US News Data has Limestone on their list
https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/lowest-acceptance-rate

In the writeup:

Limestone University admissions is selective with an acceptance rate of 14%. Half the applicants admitted to Limestone College have an SAT score between 880 and 1060 or an ACT score of 15 and 21.

How do they possibly have a 14% acceptance rate with those median scores?

There is an error. A D2 Christian school in SC with those average SAT scores is not going to be that competitive in admissions. I’m not knocking the school.

And you can enjoy watching him play at Carolina on TV, while you are watching your son at Randolph Macon.

Your right my son may not be as talented but at least he’ll play the other player is always hurt I’m sure UNC will love an overrated oft injured player So yeah I’ll be watching his team not him Dad

People wonder why the Hawks have problems
Exactly the problems start at the top with LIDS allowing these "new players" come in and do as they please ever since the CH attackman played a few times then had issues with his father and left for yet another team which is a bad bad look (not suprising) Lids allows the players to do whatever they want. Many of the boys are not very happy. Starting defensemen for years upon years just pushed aside also midfielders buried on the bench. Really Hoping the MIAA season happens and there will be less of the travel drama.

Yes Spalding beat SJ. In fairness, different approaches to the game. Once team played all personnel while the other played to win. Lots of top end talent on both teams.

Yeah but I wouldn’t put too much into the win over SJ! SJ was out there playing all their guys to see what they have. Spalding isn’t that good. They struggled with Severn.

Crazy error that is not corrected by USNEWS. Nothing wrong with Limestone that I know of, but it sure isnt that hard to get into. It is easier to get into Carnegie Mellon or Notre Dame than Limestone.

Why do you lunatics say this every single year to no end. SPALDING WILL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. If you barely beat St Johns while youre playing your best players against their backups you’re not a good team. Not to mention you barely beat a very young severn team. Spalding will never be good even with half of the hawks. After the hawks leave you’ll be competing with MSJ and JC to see who won’t be last in the league.

And they still won’t make the playoffs. Umass lowell and vmi aren’t exactly the cream of the crop when it comes to college lacrosse. Also if you’re that dull(as you seem to be because you think spalding will make the playoffs) BL, Hall, Loyola, St Pauls, McD, Gilman, and Stm all have college guys who don’t play, so spalding is nothing special.

I watched the game.
Spaulding has the best coaches in the mid Atlantic. Clearly a structured offense that plays to their strengths. BK and Ripley used their money wisely.
Spaulding will contend for the championship the next two seasons.

Please tell me you are joking. No one can possibly have such a low iq. Although it wouldn’t surprise coming from a person who decided to send their kid to Spalding.

Yeah but I wouldn’t put too much into the win over SJ! SJ was out there playing all their guys to see what they have. Spalding isn’t that good. They struggled with Severn.

Easy there big girl. This is a warm up for Spalding. Spalding will do well this year. Make playoffs for sure.

Team is not good. Even with the new coaching staff.

BK starting dumping money into the program years ago. Ripley’s significant contributions have only helped with IL ratings.
In the grand scheme of things, the needle has move a little, but not enough to compete for a championship in the MIAA.
The sad sad truth about the program, BK and Ripley contributions to the program are SIGNIFICANT, and aspiring to make the playoffs shows how low the bar is in the community. The goal should have been to WIN. Instead it is make the playoffs...

At least some Hawks got four stars.

There is no doubt that Spalding has evolved into a good school with solid athletics, it has come a long way from where it was in the 80s and 90s (Spalding was where a kid went when he got kicked out of public school or other catholic and private schools).

Let's be real here with lacrosse. This is about the dads. period. No boy grows up dreaming of putting on the black and red to represent Spalding in lacrosse. Spalding is a big commuter school off the highway. There is no lacrosse tradition, The dads are trying hard to make Spalding happen and it might work but once their Johnny Laxalots graduate, the program immediately reverts to its historic level.

There seem to be some good players and coaches there at this moment. I wish them luck with the sleeping giant, turnaround narrative. If it all clicks and everyone works together nicely that sixth playoff berth could be within reach and once the playoffs start anything could happen. It will be fun to watch.

Holy **** it doesn’t end with you losers. Spalding will never be good at lacrosse and recruiting some overrated kids from the hawks won’t even get you to the playoffs. You’ll always be known as the school for delinquents who couldn’t cut it at public school. The school honestly hasn’t changed much if you give their roster a look over. I do not understand anyone’s logic in sending their kid to spalding—just go to stm if you want your son to have a catholic education(they’re actually good at lacrosse!)

Still bitter on your son not getting asked to go with rest of his teammates to Spalding. Going thru life bitter and resentful is not a good recipe for happiness.

Transfers for this year? Doesn’t MIAA have a rule against mid-year transfers? Transferring players might be want to know the rules.
