If anyone is curious how is it possible that the turtles beat legacy A by 2 after getting killed by them 3 weeks ago? Just got verified that legacy had 4 6th graders playing on their team 3 weeks ago. Verified by parents on the turtles who play on the same town team as two players in legacy. Isn’t that sad. So it just isn’t the team from Connecticut or 91? That is very very sad. What kind of coach, let alone person would do that?? What do you tell the regular players on your team”step aside your not good enough to play this team?” I’m sure that wasn’t in their tuition description?

Yawn, unfortunately this occurs with the holdbacks at every single grade level for every location. If you are into integrity and carding (like soccer or baseball)... this is not the right sport for you.

I think it’s obvious that all the detest the rebels got a few years ago was all because of the people that left to be turtles. What a reprehensible group of humans those parents and Mario Masi are.

2Way over Venom 11-6; Venom over Moose 7-5; 2Way over Moose 6-3; Game one may have been 12-6 and game two may have been 7-6. I don't think anyone on any of the teams is losing any sleep over the exact finals. The Jumbo-tron was tough to see clearly on such a beautiful sunny day for lacrosse in God's Country up in CT

This is 2028 (5th grade) lacrosse. Who cares about who beat who, we should be happy that our kids are playing a sport that they love. Most of these parents that are posting are probably people who never played sports. Some of these boys will probably be on different teams next year and some will probably pick baseball or another sport in High School. Let's stop worrying about rankings and who beat who and credit the boys and teams that played well.

Top dog in the area is definitely 2way, they beat 91 pretty hard this weekend and beat moose. At Tristar they lost or tied to Sweetlax, and had a close game with Rush. Sweetlax lost to Rush and Legacy, and beat Rebels and Express.

The Long and the short of it all at the moment now for Long Island teams, there are 7 teams that have proven they can play with the top teams, win, lose or draw.

Any of these teams can probably beat any of them, not 50 50, but any given Day. In alphabetical order

The talent at this age group is all spread out, it seems most teams have 3-4 really strong kids with a decent team behind them. On the national level it is going to be very hard for Long Island teams to hang in the future unless if there is some consolidation. I have a feeling there will be lots of moves next year, time will tell

Before Rebels parents get all butt hurt, once your team starts beating A teams again, they’d be right back on that list, all teams and 3-4 moves from falling off the list or moving to the top

Very good summary - except that Igloo has no business being included in there. They don't have size, and they lost all their scorers.

This is an insult to youth lacrosse across the tri-state region and whomever wrote this needs to be banned right now.

I happen to agree about your Massapequa comment. Manhasset, GC, WI. To mention a few. I don’t think you can argue with Smithtown being there. As much as it pains me to say.

But so did Smithtown. Igloo A is not very good. Should not be in The conversation of any top A teams

That team could compete with the top club teams in my opinion.

Not sure about CT wolves but otherwise pretty accurate

Still think venom is better than legacy but otherwise I agree

Last year Rush beating rebels would have been a thing. This year not so much. Let’s see how rush does against venom today.
