I would absolutely agree. Nothing wrong with a healthy rivalry as both teams play to win and offer each other great competition...especially being that few other teams do that for them, at least locally that is. The parents sat side-by-side and offered no ill-will toward each other. Those trying to stir the pot are obviously outsiders who have no stake in the game. The assumption that because it was a low scoring game that the play was sloppy is just that...an assumption, and totally off the mark. Watch the film and learn a few things from these 2025 girls who compete at a high level no matter the opponent with speed, great lacrosse IQ, a strong defense and outstanding goalie play. Play between these two teams only make each other stronger and better competitors. Tearing into either team is unwarranted and of no basis.

Let’s be realistic, those aren’t typical B/C teams. Spallina has the best 2025 team in the nation so obviously there is tremendous depth in that grade which makes Janelli a very strong team. Lomo was an A team for Elevate. It’s fair to say both of these teams have A level talent for an overwhelming amount of clubs nationwide. Probably 3-4 clubs they are B teams. Take your common sense and logic elsewhere. We're here to be entertained not lectured....YJ Thunderdome!!!! 2 B teams enter, 1 leaves, go slap Galvin around like everyone else and feel better about yourself.

Swarm(Spalina) played up again this weekend and won every game by double digits? What more do you want them to do? Other teams mentioned here played 26 teams and others didn’t play at all. They aren’t ducking anyone.

They may be B/C teams, but they're both still top 5 on the island. I'll digress - Most B teams are scraps that club directors figure they can make a few bucks on, add below average players to over the winter when they keep a team with 12 kids, or slap a combined 24/25 squad together from the girls they cut and make their portions for the year providing half-Meanylax to these poor people for the cost of the same A team experience. As long as people throw money at these clubs, there will be monstrosities of teams that can barely (can't) catch and throw b/c they want to slap a MY KID PLAYS FOR {insert "ELITE" lax team here} and tell their friends how wasted they got in MD the weekend before and danced on the table at Shoney's later that night with the hostess. On election day of all days, we as a collective long island need to wise up and actually be consumers of a product (travel lax), rather than reliving your glory days when you played against Pat McCabe in a summer league game in Huntington back in '98 and "I swear I yard-saled him on the clear." through your kids.

Hello All I think that Janelli would have played up this weekend. They played older teams in the fall league. That would have been better than watching what they did to my daughters team.

I remember that play. You were running back to pick up your stick which he had just helicoptered from you and you collided. Was really funny. It was at Cantiague Park in Hicksville, not Huntington.

Yeah, it totally hurt like heck and I still have a limp from it but the scar is cool. It was so worth it.

The games were on small patches of grass at Mitchell Field. 7v7. To call them games is slightly ridiculous when the goalies could shoot and score from their own goals... Both lomo and Janelli split their rosters into two teams. Lamo went 7-1 and Janelli 6-2. Changes nothing...

Not even four games. One game was about 10 minutes. But I'm sure you will count that as a game.
Listen both of those teams are fine. Move on and worry about the team that you play for because there must be some major problems there if you need to come here and stir the pot!!!!
If they put these two teams together and made one team they would be a very solid team

OMG..this guy/gal is a box of rocks. Thank you someone for explaining the math to them. Hater...just looking for anything to pounce on and stir the pot. Were the teams hiding this weekend of in some lower bracket?? Common, what can you come up with? As for not travelling to MD, ask CR about that for all YJ teams.
Go sit in a corner with a pointy hat and face the wall lost...

It’s all about getting better every day at this age and playing with yourself in your own “tournaments” while perfecting your single wing offense is not going to get it done.

If it is..... you should stop now. Check the scores from the league. Go get a Covid test and stay home for a few weeks. A few of your best players are looking to JUMP . The owner had to make all kinds of promises to keep them around including doing the coaching. Come on over to Janelli while you can the future is bright!

So, it really is a Janelli parent trolling this site...wheel of venom...where will it stop...TG, Lomo, Spallina, 91...jeez, let it go. All teams will change, have turnover, consolidate, have disgruntled parents-too many tournaments/practices or not enough; playing time, positioning, platoon goalie, roster size, offense, defense, playing to win, recruiting.
Seriously, step back. If you know so much start your own team. There are very few girls that are acidic and poisonous to their teams but there are many parents that are...Is your daughter complaining, whining, be ah ching-or is she really more in touch with her relevant standing and skill level on the team than you are? Are you telling her to practice, work and play more or is she asking you for it? Look in the mirror vicariously living moms...don't ruin your daughters experience. This is supposed to be fun and yes, winning is definitely more fun than losing, but if you care more than her, well, she don't want to be following the path you are trying to lay. Whether its TG, Jan, Lom or insert team name, if your daughter is not a starter, this ride is almost over... enjoy it and support it until she becomes a cheerleader or groupie... back 11 of all above teams have 0 future in lacrosse so hopefully they at least have fun.

TG had a very good Sunday. They hung with some real good teams. I watched some of those fall league games and I thought everyone played poorly. Janelli and Lomo hang with the teams TG played yesterday. I don't know what it was in the fall league, but kids couldn't catch and throw. It was bizarre.

Are you serious about the back 11 having zero future in lacrosse or are you being sarcastic? What a terrible thig to say.......kids develop at all different times of their lives. Kids also make choices that are better for their skill set. You might have a kid who goes to MD who never plays and a kid who goes to Towson and is a 3x all american. And let's not forget about D2 and D3. Not every kid is going to play for a top 10 school and the ones that do don't always have a great experience.

Sorry, I'll walk my comment back regarding the back 11 having no future. You are correct, kids develop at different rates and there are a wide range of collegiate programs for almost all skill levels to compete at if they are committed. I was referring more to the top 10 type programs that so many delusional parents aspire their daughters to receive a scholarship from.
