Think people myself included and did I did not post that just feel the player with all the effort to try and keep him in top 5 doesn’t live up to it Kid is always on a stacked team and all summer has been good not great and mediocre more often Than not. IL try’s to hype him in same breathe as top LI player and it’s not close. Is probably 4-5 th best player down here in Maryland and that is being fair do agree could see him following dad

Posers. Slainte is just an all star team that pulls kids from their club just for tourneys and no practices. Started by the same guy who formed the entire Koopers lax club when his kid was in 5th grade so he would have a team to play on for MS ans HS. His buddies are all good players and took starting spots while he rode bench. But daddy acts like Mr Lax

What has happen to Severn School Lacrosse. Constantly losing to public schools. Not many wins in the MIAA A. Is it time to move down to the B division?

Severn made the playoffs in 2018. What's the last time Spalding, John Carroll, MSJ, or even Gilman(not trying to lump Gilman in the same category as those programs) did that? Severn actually has a rich history and puts together a playoff team every couple of years. For having ~200 boys and ~50 in the lacrosse program that is real impressive. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you're with Spalding, in which case didn't they get curve stomped by Broadneck? Severn's program is actually headed in a good direction. They've got some talented underclassmen and their head coach recently got a job in admissions. How are you gonna say Severn should drop to the B conference when they aren't even a bottom three program(MSJ, JC, Spalding)?

Starts at the top school head/AD. Just about every sport Severn plays has been in the decline the last few years. Generally don’t get the top talent in the area now opting out playing fall sports. Need to work twice as hard to be successful with lack of talent but instead getting held back and only working half as much as the competition.

Spot on. Lots of chirping from the folks I like to call "nouveau lacrosse". I believe Severn has a good 2023 class and is upgrading their talent considerably. Their issue is not top end talent but depth. Saw them push LB to the brink in the playoffs during the last five years with the attackman now playing at Penn. As referenced, there are a number of programs who would drop to B before Severn.

Of course because it wasn’t an inside job. When he is fairly evaluated he isn’t among the best and hence isn’t in a write up Inside lacrosse wasn’t involved in the eval.

He definitely did the same thing to Severn that he's done to API and the once proud Diamondbacks teams.

Programs take 3-4 years to develop, especially if the local talent has not been established before. Need to have a core group of talent who buy into the program and you build the younger pipeline from there. It is only prudent to wait to year 4 before judgements can be made and even then culture can take a few more years to establish. This is a fine program and making very good positive progress.

Your version of plethora must mean : having no phonetic manifestation, or having no magnitude or quantity : not any ..

To have a program you actually need a culture and not just one class of kids brought in by a player's dad. Spalding will be even worse than they already are(hard to believe) once the hawks leave. You can't build a "program" off of 10 kids in one class and Spalding is trying to do just that. It will never work. Why do the Calvert Hall's and BL's have perennial success? They have a culture and keep bringing in talented kids who buy in--something Spalding has never done or will ever do.

You losers have been saying this every year. When will it get through your thick skulls you aren't going to make the playoffs? They weren't even gonna come close to the playoffs this year. Who will Spalding make the playoffs over, St. Paul's, St. Mary's, Boys Latin, Mcdonogh, Calvert Hall, or Loyola? Answer: none and you're delusional if you think otherwise.

What is your definition of "constantly" losing to publics? Losing to two of the best public schools in the state, in Severna Park and Broadneck in one down year, by one goal each? Did Spalding also not lose to Broadneck? That's not constantly losing to publics and even if it was they are both top 5 public schools in the state and are better than MSJ and JC. Stop trying to start stuff with awful takes with no base to deflect Spalding.

This Inside Lacrosse event is exposing some kids. My son played against Lids kids team. Totally overmatched. Did not score a point. The Maryland 5 star goalie got lit up. Our goalie was much better. Their 2nd half goalie played better than the 5 star and I have no idea who he is. We scored 11 goals on their defense led by Maryland 5 star. Rankings are a joke. Little Lids will still make All Tournament. Probably The former Hopkins coach son too and he isn’t even here

This event was a total money grab and a waste of time. Very little talent on the field IMHO.

The rankings are a joke. Ty, IL and anyone who plays controls the rankings.

This is why college coaches careless about IL rankings. Don’t believe the hype of IL of NLF.
