Hard to tell what is sarcasm and what is real here. I am glad the conversation is turning a bit.... just a bit more towards appreciating kids who play the game

Both these kids are very good. I thought the FCA defenseman was older Both these kids are on age; big and talented doesn’t always mean reclass. Are you sure? I thought if a kid was pushing 6ft in 7th grade that it meant he was a holdback. It sure does on this forum!! Any kids that stands out; whether its size or ability, is always branded a holdback!! It helps justify to parents why their team is losing or why little johnny can't compete! Some kids simply go through puberty earlier and the advantage at this age is obvious. In 2 years you won't be able to see the difference. Frankly most times the bigger players in 6-8 are holdbacks... of course there are a few that arent and just are on age big...but get real, most of the bigger players in MD are holdbacks in 6th and 7th and 8th grade.

Have to tell lil Johnny those things to justify why he gets run by or over during transition.

Exactly right - tell Johnny that he is an elite seventh grade player, who was out ran by an elite eight grader. Nothing wrong with telling kids the truth.

Sweetlax wins this hands down at TriStar I’d agree Sweetlax is the favorite, but Express could easily beat them. Tigers are still banged up, but who knows with them. Plus it’s fall lax so who knows on teams like BBL and 2Way who like to shake up their rosters.

Which is MadLax in? Madlax is up there with Top Tier Nice, so Elite now has a new category “Top Tier Premier Super Awesome Elite”

I have to assume your kid plays on one of the lower elite teams. There is an argument for VLC and BLC but FCA and 91 belong to the lower tier. FCA and 91 could turn things around by the spring.

Rumor is FCA is putting some extra time in at the alter praying to the Big Man to intervene and save the team from completely falling apart next summer. By Big Man I mean CH HC

The big pole involved in the controversial hit last fall went to Looneys. I would bet that the others went to Looneys too, or if not, Hawks or Crabs. If players are good enough that their departure means something, they are likely moving up the ladder, not down or sideways.

If anyone claims they don’t remember numbers of top defenseman, your son is not a strong offensive player (or your son has a horrible memory).

Players come and go. If you don’t like FCA, there’s a reason. Get over it and move on. They continue to help players get recruited. Maybe they aren’t top tier but they will continue to get better, add players over the next few years, and have players get recruited. History repeating itself year after year. Chest pound and let your son enjoy his middle school trophies. There is no arguing with a proven model. Guarantee some of the turtleneck dads who talk trash about FCA now will have their superstar trying out for FCA in the next few years. Wonder why that is?

Which is MadLax in? Honest question - not trying to throw barbs at all. What has Madlax been doing? I haven't seen a score of theirs in months. Did they play in a different league somewhere? (Fall box or similar?) Were they just super cautious and haven't been playing? I'm sure I have missed them but they seem missing. Just curious.

Let’s just say I’m guessing a massive exodus from several clubs from 2024 down to 2027 based on coaching alone. Unless your son is a stud athlete this club has no intention of developing him; they get guess players to come in during the summer to trophy chase and then pound their chest. If your interested in this club seriously talk to the parents on the sidelines and get their thoughts on how the club is run. It’s joke and there is a reason the Director left for Crabs. 26 and 27 are collapsing and 24 and 25 will follow.

Trust me everyone knows #2; the dirtiest long pole in the 2026 class. We played them this summer and I have never seen so many cheap shot late hits in my life plus he gets run by consistently; poor footwork and slow. The only thing he is good at is clearing the ball and talking trash based on what our attackman have said.

What was the controversial hit? He took someone out with a slash? Based on the previous posts he took a cheap shot at one of the Hawks best players and knocked him out. I heard the hawks are out for payback on the hit; that’s the rumor circulating.

What was the controversial hit? He took someone out with a slash? There were many pages of discussion on this Board around October 2019, so if you want details go back and read it. More than a slash.

My son has played them a few times and I think #2 is the only clean long pole they have. #26 is solid, but takes constant late shots. Their other poles are so slow all they can do is cheap shot to try and compete.

My son’s team has played them twice and each game the said player showed sportsmanship each game. Even helped my son up and patted his helmet after taking the ball from him. Seems to play hard and clean and respects opponents.

My son played FCA in the Fall HOCO League; kid is definitely dirty and loses his composure very quickly when beaten. He definitely plays physical but let’s his emotions get the best of him when frustrated. He’s good for 2-3 penalties a game.

Seems to play hard and clean and respects opponents. Patting a smaller opponent on the helmet after stripping him of the ball could be taken in different ways. This sounds like it was written by #2’s own Dad, and the poor guy can’t even make up a convincing example of good sportsmanship. I’ve seen this player and I concur with the majority impression.
