Take away the face off ? Lol.....right . Take away this and take away that . Sounds like a dollar and a dream commercial. You're not serious with that statement are you . The game is the game ........find a way to win you don't come on here and say " take away the face off and it's a tighter game " . Who does that ? Agreed. That’s just a silly statement. You could pretty much make it any time you lose a game. Take away the stud attack man and it’s a different game Take away the stud goalie and it’s a different game. Stop it. You’ve been beaten by express all summer. They are clearly better than 91 this age group

Lax reality is that parents hold back their kids all over the country. If your boy can't compete with kids 4 months older due to Sep 1st vs. Jan 1st school ages then maybe he should stick to soccer where its birth year.

They are still the best 2026 squad in the country although hopefully we see deeper tournaments soon with all the top teams competing against each other.

Wrong....Hawks dad . Hawks do not qualify due to being too old . Sure you're the best in the country just a year older than everyone else in the same bracket. WSYL age cutoff is Sept 1st, same as schools in Maryland (and any other area who logically has an age cutoff inline with when schools start the year). We have no interest in wasting money to fly across the country and play the same teams we do on the East Coast.

Will it lose it's luster without the rocky mountain backdrop? Or is the new back drop the md holdbacks standing on the sidelines, not able to play?

Who are the top age appropriate teams that will compete at the World Series? My guess is that the top 15 to 20 teams according to Us Club Lax all have hold backs and wouldn't be participating. The WSYL is more of a B team championship, so nobody really cares that much.

So your 2026 holdbacks are even older than some of our 2025's. Come on Chip, the WSYL is in MD this year, bring your age appropriate team to it, get spanked and you can take your 2028 holdback to the Green Turtle after.

My kid wants to compete against the best on age kids.
If you tout you’re the best, but don’t show up this year at WSYL, you’re a _______. (Rhymes with Woosy)
I truly hope you show. Win or lose...My kid wants to play the against best.

My son is on age as a March 2008, but I much rather see him face the top 0226 teams vs. the ones that just fit the age requirement. Are you people going to wait until your boy is a senior in HS to let hm play varsity to avoid older players?

True, but if your son has any chance of playing against seniors as a freshman or even soph, he better get used to playing against 7th graders who are a few months older than him without daddy protecting him.
