1- IIRC Balt went up 6-1 and then cruised the rest of the way... while true, it was a 2 goal game with about 20 min to go, it didnt get closer but but to say LI wasnt in it or had no chance is wrong 2-The game was not even close...Balt lead from wire to wire.. but LI had chances 3- Baltimore won just about every draw and played very well... all true 4-LI just needs to get it together and pick the right players....ahh phooey, where are these superstars that were left home? LI was out coached, out schemed, out executed and in the end out played
5-pick the best players instead of the usual YJ marginal players... Id love to hear who you think was left off the team 6-And if your ok going there to have Balto double up the score then you are also the problem... Im fine with the effort put out, they didnt get the result.. thats it. 6-There were players picked that were not as good as other players who were cut... Please 7-Sorry if the truth hurts... I had a blast, was worth every minute..
8- Would have been a different game if Carol was the coach... while I wish that were true, I don't think i would have mattered Maybe having half the team made up with 2022’s wasn’t a very good idea. Cmon..... have CR the coach. That ship sailed long time ago. Unfortunately LI recycles the same YJ HS coaches who have obligation to pick the YJ and HS players they coach. But doing the same notIntelligent thing every year and expecting different results well.... command not in top 4 and highlight loses again. Baltimore had the same amount of 22's as the LI team.

detest to break your heart but jesters are starting with the 23 group. you will see recruiting results. guaranteed. it wont stop there. They have a 2022 team, yes? How is recruiting going for that team? Check the YJ website, the commit list is posted... academy’s, Ivys, ACC, Big 10 all represented This is about the 2022 Jesters team, why would the commit list for the 2022 Jesters team be on the YJ website? The YJ list is of course impressive, as it is every year.

Yea and..., so what. Thanks for making that clear. Maybe the better 21’s should have been picked instead of the 22’s. Taking the 22’s was a mistake.

NJ parent here - Baltimore deserved to win and their performance the entire 2 tournaments showed it. Their defense was relentless and super high pressure and they dominated the draw across the board. Their shots on goal were blistering and nearly impossible to stop. They also did all the little things right - TEAM play, very few turnovers, no bad passes, first to the GBs. Their girls were bigger, faster and more athletic. Kudos.

Going to goal is what matters, putting the ball in the net is what's important.

Any good showcases coming up for 22’s Your club coaches should be pushing them out. If they aren’t, they’re not doing their jobs

Any good showcases coming up for 22’s Depends what your looking for.. there is a NESCAC event next weekend.. Check REVevents for their Valentine’s Day clinic in Rhode Island It would be nice if the clubs pushed events out to you... but at the end of the day be proactive.

My daughter plays defense, she enjoys the back, and is good at it. Let me tell you how annoying it is when the coach needs to throw a girl back on D that isn’t D, therefor she doesn’t know the plays or the slides. She popping 8 meter fouls all over the place and losing her girl. Defense doesn’t get enough credit. Blah

Look at the girls from Baltimore, LI, NJ and PA and where they have committed to. The Baltimore UA team had 3 defenders that played on the UA team together for the last 3 years. They just don't give up a lot of easy shots, are all very active and athletic in the clearing game and communicate very well. Makes a huge difference.

It is true defenders are getting recruited at that position more than ever before. Many coaches still recruit midfielders and turn them into defenders. But if your daughter can excel at defense, it is by far the easiest path to D1. Position not sought after like the others and athletic money not as good, but it is more common to see defenders picked up for defense lately. Not knocking anyone's daughter for playing defense, that being said, midfielders still make better defenders, while on the field playing defense as a midfielder, or switching over to the position. Typically faster, more athletic, better stick skills, intuition etc... Look what happens to midfielders that can't hang at that position on any team, they get moved and displace defenders and even attackers. You never see it the other way around.
