Bandits are still #1 until I see another program on Long Island consistently beat them. Express is a close second... You won't see them this year, and knowing the Express kids well, I'd say they are better going forward. I'd agree with that. So I'll agree that Express has competed well with the Bandits over the years but I'm not sure if they've ever taken a game off of them and now all of a sudden, Express is the better team? Please explain. Enough already who is better . You people have issues .

Any other clubs connecting to their players? Express is doing team meetings and training with their players. Three months of nothing from my sons club coach.

Payment plan was already structured so all payments were completed before the covid outbreak so no need to do anything. Would have been nice to do something.... How about, after watching your son these are the 3 things I want him working on. Do a short video showing him what you want him doing and then check up on progress or something. I know they can't do anything in person but at least give 5 minutes of thought for the people that just paid thousands of dollars for your coaching and instruction. There were requests to donate to worthy causes so the brand looks good however.

True Illinois came out to LI last summer and stomped on y'all greasball tank top wearing crazy yelling napolean complex guidos and that is the TRUE. All the washed up Soprano background cast member fathers were in awe and even the loud mouth hair salon moms had nothing to yell by halftime-it was over. Own it.

The club owners, coaches should have and should do something rather than doing absolutely nothing for my hard earned money. Like you said, something about our kids or what they need help on, or even how the club wants their offense/defense run would be helpful.

Think you made a mistake with your post pal, True Illinois should be in the 2021 thread. Also, you're confusing Long Island with New Jersey but that's okay, you have to live in Illinois.

Where did you see or hear that the NYS regional was cancelled? COVID-19 Related Issues – Update #4 - Event Cancelled (6/9/20) Since its inception, the Long Island Lacrosse Showcase strives to deliver the premier recruiting event for the student-athletes of Nassau and Suffolk counties in the safest possible environment. As we stated from the beginning of this pandemic, the safety and well-being of the players, coaches, parents, and spectators would be our paramount concern in conducting this event. The recent decision to postpone the event to July would provide the opportunity conduct the event in such a manner. However, as we formalized a July event using the guidance established by the CDC, US Lacrosse, and preliminary protocols from New York State, it has become clear that conducting competitive lacrosse events in the summer of 2020 is not possible. Therefore, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Long Island Lacrosse Showcase. We will be issuing full refunds to all registered players. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this difficult spring. We hope that you and your families stay safe during the summer of 2020.

The NLF National Championships, set for July 17-19 at UMass, remain our biggest priority of the summer. We do have a backup date of Aug. 28-30 at UMass, and we will track the national and state guidelines throughout June before we make any final decision on any date change https://nationallacrossefederation.com/nlf-coronavirus-summer-update/

BOY’S LACROSSE • Alternate Faceoff Procedures 1.1 Coin Toss: Before the start of play, the “official” will call one player from each team and conduct a coin toss. The winner of the coin toss will start the competition with possession of the ball at the center spot. The lost of the coin toss will have the first alternating possession. 1.2 Positioning of Players and Starting Play: The team that wins the coin toss will start with the ball in their offensive half of the field, near the center spot, with a free clear. All other players should be at least five yards from the player with the ball. 1.3 Post-Goal: The goalkeeper or official removes the ball from the goal, and the team that was scored on will start with possession in the crease or along the goal line extended. No restart will take place if any player is within 5 yards of the ball carrier. When the whistle is blown by the official, play will resume. 1.4 Starting a New Quarter/Half: The team that loses the coin toss at the start of the game will have possession to start the second half. No player should be within 5 yards of the ball carrier. • Loose-Ball Play: When a loose ball is on the ground and cannot be quickly picked up because a group of players are tied up in a scrum, the official can end play early at their discretion (typically four or more seconds ) and award the ball via alternate possession rule. • Procedures for Loose-Ball Technical Fouls: When a loose-ball violation has been committed, the offended team can receive a quick play-on when an official visually and verbally signals “play-on.” If the offended team cannot quickly gain possession of the loose ball, the play-on must be ended immediately. In general, if it is unclear whether the offended team will quickly gain possession of the ball, play should be stopped, and the ball awarded to the team entitled to possession.

I think at one point or another many posters (including myself) have been the voice of reason and say its time to move on. The summer for the most part AIN'T happening. Invariably someone will post with a backhanded political remark or insult or some other ad hominem attack. I will reiterate what has been said for the past few weeks and/or months. TIME TO MOVE ON! Lacrosse aint happening this summer. Yes, I know there is a rumor of a tourney in the midwest or somewhere in Tennessee and even a game being streamed this weekend BUT AGAIN SUMMER AIN'T HAPPENING! Delaware WILL NOT BE HAVING TOURNAMENTS. Nor will NY or NJ or Connecticut. Sure there will be some teams practicing and some team playdates but its time to enjoy your family and move on. On another thread someone posted one of the top female teams already cancelled their summer. they will only have a few scrimmages and practice. THAT'S WHAT ALL CLUBS SHOULD DO. Everyone's hope was July in Delaware but wit the uptick, there is not a chance that Delaware will allow hundreds if not thousands of people from other states enter fro a lax tournament. People who still believe this are naive - the summer of lacrosse is not happening.

Many have moved on weeks ago, made other plans and have been enjoying the summer ever since. Common sense should of pulled on your ear and told you, not to allow clubs to string you along this late. Once the zoom session were made available, I knew it was over. I'll tell you what, if club owners need the money that bad and feel it necessary to dupe us, fine, many of us are not in the need of ripping people off of THEIR hard earned cash.
