Zoom meeting was good, hard to see this actually happening but at least the directors are communicating.
I believe that the are acting now, in part to the posts on this forum.
Stay safe! Yes, I am sure they are reacting to the 5 people that post nonsense on this forum.

Glad to know that Express management is not requiring young boys to return to the field in July and wear face shields like team 91.

They are not "requiring young boys to return to the field in July".. They are simply making arrangements for those of us who are not brainwashed and terrified to get on with our lives. My son is thrilled for the opportunity to get back to practice.

You are the same person that would have reported Anne Frank. Its ok to riot and the politicians allow it, it should be ok to play lacrosse.

Igloo, S2S, 91 all starting small group practices... anyone hear anything about Express starting small group sessions? It's not like they owe us anything on the last 2 payments, right?

Will the state allow small group practices? Gov. Andy sent the liquor authority and they cited Dublin Deck 16 serious violations for the video of them open during the shutdown. Pretty risky to hold organized practices. Who would even let them use their fields right now?

Very risky for any organization to attempt practices right now, After these protests there will be a sudden spike in covid cases. Several other states are seeing alot of new cases since re-opening. Dublin deck was fined 14k for adults drinking, I would think any club having young kids practice would be a worse fine.

Practice for What? How about for fun? They may have games or may not have games. If the kids are having fun practicing with their friends that they haven’t seen in months, good for them. Some parents have gotten so crazy with club lax, they seem to forget the most important thing of all. HAVING FUN.

Tournaments are scheduled because they want your $ and are praying they can play them. But that doesn't mean it will happen. Clubs have already begun practicing to avoid issuing refunds. Youth sports is phase 4 so noone should be practicing rigjt now. Delaware: 2 thoughts: first, u think they want NY and NJ residents coming there? They will shut that down immediately. Seco d, if people are desperate enough to drive to Delaware then where they going to sleep? Hotel rooms must be vacant for 24 hrs before they can even begin cleaning them. Where's everyone going to stay? Stop drinking the kool-aid. Its over Johnny!

Tournaments are posted..That's great. Some guy also posted that he found magic lax beans and planted them to grow a beanstalk to Laxland.... Just because they post it means nothing. They want your money and are praying they can play....but seeing how youth sports is Stage 4, we all know that isnt happening. They are trying to give the gullible hope where none exists...
Delaware: 2 comments: First, you think DE wants NY and NJ residents coming to their state when both states are COVID hotbeds? No chance. They will block that. Would you want a leper coming into your house? Next.....
Hotels: Where would everyone stay? Hotels have a mandated 24 hr room vacancy rule before they can even clean the room nonetheless turn it over to the next renter. NO way hotels can honor that. Is everyone going to sleep on the fields under their custom team tents? Wake up man....
Then again, the clubs may push for that so they can up-charge you a "lodging fee". All the above being said, why the heck would anyone want to subject their kids and those around them to a meaningless lax tournament, out of state no less, just for a t shirt? Embarassing playa.........

Embarassing playa......... Tournaments are being played. It is happening. I had no problems booking a hotel, but Delaware is less than 2.5 hours from my house, so if we have late games I’ll drive up early. I truly don’t know what you lunatics are talking about. Do you want a refund? Is that it? Listen, if travel lacrosse is too expensive, then don’t do it. There are lots of other options. Most people are comfortable with the current health situation. If you aren’t, then that’s a decision that you’ll need to make. But make no mistake, the season is starting. Most teams have started practicing or will be starting in the next week. The tournaments will be played, under restricted conditions (one day tourneys). And, the boys are going to have a blast. It has nothing to do with t-shirts.

Not worth it to me. Came to accept the fact club will not refund me anything. Decided to move on until the fall.

Again this will not be bc PT and Express want to have an event in Delaware in July. Nor will it be up to Kirkwood.

EXACTLY The mentally inept are having issues grasping that concept. Just because Tournament Organizers said "We're on" doesnt make it written in stone. After the spikes occur over the next 2 weeks they will NOT be able to host these events. And to the clown above, your not seeing 5 tournaments bro. "Awesome" will be reading your posts when you realize the club owners and tourney organizers used you to play "Hide the lacrosse shaft" and then you get a bill from your proctologist. Raincloud just ruined your party son......

Bay bridge brawl. Lol. Out of 100 people, 5 may say I’m excited to go to that. You are in the 5. I’m in the 95. People lost interest in lax this summer. All sports actually. Most people are just chilling, enjoying the nice weather, hoping things are somewhat normal for summer. People are still unsure about the fall, schools being open, fall sports being played. The only reason lax is even being discussed is clubs collected a lot of money and it’s not so easy returning funds.

Sounds like these tourneys in DE and MD are in jeopardy of shutting down.
No college coaches for the older boys, not helpful in the recruiting situation.
Who want to play with these rules anyway?
Starting to see this is a desperate attempt to not issue refunds.
BOY’S LACROSSE • Alternate Faceoff Procedures 1.1 Coin Toss: Before the start of play, the “official” will call one player from each team and conduct a coin toss. The winner of the coin toss will start the competition with possession of the ball at the center spot. The lost of the coin toss will have the first alternating possession. 1.2 Positioning of Players and Starting Play: The team that wins the coin toss will start with the ball in their offensive half of the field, near the center spot, with a free clear. All other players should be at least five yards from the player with the ball. 1.3 Post-Goal: The goalkeeper or official removes the ball from the goal, and the team that was scored on will start with possession in the crease or along the goal line extended. No restart will take place if any player is within 5 yards of the ball carrier. When the whistle is blown by the official, play will resume. 1.4 Starting a New Quarter/Half: The team that loses the coin toss at the start of the game will have possession to start the second half. No player should be within 5 yards of the ball carrier. • Loose-Ball Play: When a loose ball is on the ground and cannot be quickly picked up because a group of players are tied up in a scrum, the official can end play early at their discretion (typically four or more seconds ) and award the ball via alternate possession rule. • Procedures for Loose-Ball Technical Fouls: When a loose-ball violation has been committed, the offended team can receive a quick play-on when an official visually and verbally signals “play-on.” If the offended team cannot quickly gain possession of the loose ball, the play-on must be ended immediately. In general, if it is unclear whether the offended team will quickly gain possession of the ball, play should be stopped, and the ball awarded to the team entitled to possession.

Do you mind posting the link where you found this? Not challenging it but I know if I use this someone will ask Thanks FLG is having their tournament in Delaware. Seems like they didn't want this information to leak out to the parents. Why didn't FLG provide families with this information? If we go, what other surprises can we expect? All these meaningless videos and interviews posted on their Facebook page, and they didn't provide/post this important info. First I emailed FLG and asked if there were any restrictions parents need to be made aware of; Coach Wink (can't believe he refers to himself by that) said the parents only need to social distance and wear a face mask. Then I replied with the web link and didn't hear a word back from the Wink Master! Horrible!
