Mt St Joe - 1000 boys (high school)
CHC - 1200 boys (high school)
Loyola - 1000 (high school plus 6th - 8th)
The co-ed schools of Spaulding and McD have nearly 1/2 the boys as does BL, Gilman and SP.
Tough to make varsity at Loyola and CHC.. Mt St Joe is not a big lax school. BL, McD, Gilman and SP will reserve spots for seniors (may not see field but on roster)

Wow. Articulate, logical and absolutely true - but it's not what the trolls and haters on this board want to accept. It's so much easier to cushion the simple mind and fragile ego with lies and fabricated BS.

Yawn.

See you over at CHC for the college game and Varsity scrimmage on Sunday biff.

Bring Johnny and maybe the team can sign his ball...LOL.

OUCH ! Thats gotta Hurt !!

Still having problems getting over your son's inability to make Spalding . I know it is hard to face this fact after spending all that money on Club Teams but , " He just isnt that Good " .

The guy is not really a fan of Spalding, just a father who is still upset his son didnt make Spalding's Varsity. He is hoping this will get a rise out of someone.

You would think after a year he would be over it. But I guess if he cant get over his inability to stop a TD against Polk High Panthers in Championship game, it stands to reason he cant get over his son getting cut.

If you are playing against Calvert Hall you better be ready to run and expect them to play you every inch of the field. Nothing easy. They made Bullis look like a youth team. Go ahead and give them the trophy. No one in the MIAA will be able to keep up.

Agree. I watched the first half of the scrimmage. How old are the Calvert Hall seniors? There was talk that one or two are too old to play games in the MIAA. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Calvert Hall is above all the rest of MIAA teams. It is not even close. The only way they lose this year if team has their mind in some other time zone.

With a few like McD, BL, Loy , they might be within 4-7 goals, the rest it will be whatever CH wants to win by.

I cant imagine the rest of MIAA schools putting up with CH winning MIAA Lacrosse Championship every year for foreseeable future.

I have no idea what they will be, BL boarding? but changes will be coming for other teams, that is for sure.

Correct. Some of the players are 20 years old. They are also from out of state, aren't smart, and pay nothing to attend. The rest of the team are just normal high school kids that work really really hard at getting better.

LOL, Comparison scoring analysis using scrimmages and early season games before everyone gets a chance to study the film is very suspect. If we did that MCD would have run away with the title last year and Duke Lacrosse would always stink and never win the national championship.

Reality: CHC doesn't have as many big horses at midfield as it did last year. Much easier to defend one stud versus three. They're also missing their best #1 attackman (by far) from last year. Unless they can completely dominate at X, I predict one of the other top teams can and will put together a game plan to beat them.

So no one else in the conference had a scrimmage? Didn’t hear anything about ANY of the other schools than CHC. I thought Spaulding was going to be good & the other Baltimore schools. Was just looking to see how the various schools looked in their first action against other teams.

I do know that the CHC kid that everyone saying is too old, that he didn’t even score or get an assist. So don’t go making it seem like his age is what makes them soo good. Just respect that they have an abundance of talent and a proven system. That doesn’t mean that the rest of the league should roll over for them.

What’s the word on the other schools? Anyone have any updates?

Thanks

Doubt it but that would be good if someone can figure it out. CH will show up with more big middies- they were probably on the sideline last year just waiting their turn. It looks like most of their starters are back including attack and X. Good Luck.

Oldest “star” player in MIAA goes to Loyola but they stink so no one cares.

Dreaming if you think any MIAA team will beat CH this year, It was 33 vs 11 in combined scores of playoff games last year. 2020 Trophy already has their name on it !

I closely follow AA Co lacrosse. I’d have to say that for 2020 Spalding is among the top three public school programs in the county, just behind Broadneck and Severna Park but top three!

Relocating for work from the Philadelphia area. We have an 8th and 6th grade boys. I'd appreciate any insight on the programs (lacrosse & Football) at South River, Broadneck, and Severna Park if any one has them. Thanks.
