mt Sinai seems unstopable.Looks like most of the same kids from last year.When did they get so good ?
Has anyone seen them play ? They schooled Shoreham.

ESM is in the B's. Mt. Sinai the C's, They won't play each other. The C's may be a little stronger this year with Mt. Sinai,Shoreham and Babylon. There are many top notch kids in Division 2.

Highlights

West Islip 12, Northport 11: Emily Piciullo (three goals, 1 assists) scored on an assist from Kate Beier (three goals, two assists) to give West Islip a 12-8 lead with 5:42 remaining and West Islip (8-2) held on for a win in Division I. This is the first time West Islip beat Northport in the past eight years, according to coach Joe Nicolosi.

Lindenhurst 13, Smithtown East 11: Rachel Ramirez made five of her 11 saves in the final five minutes for Lindenhurst (8-2) in Division I. Christina Zolezzi scored five goals and Cooper Sesselman had four goals and an assist.

St. Agnes 16, Manhasset 14; Four goals from Lindsey Ronbeck were not enough for Manhasset (8-2) who fell to St. Agnes (VA) in a non-league game. Julia Glynn and Sarah Barcia each had two goals and an assist.

Smithtown West 16, Arlington 7: In non-league, regional action, Mackenzie Heldberg scored with 2:31 remaining in the first half to give Smithtown West a 10-2 lead. Heldberg scored seven goals in the win. Jess Meyers made 12 saves for Smithtown West (6-5).

St. Anthony's 9, St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Va.) 8: Izzy Mangan scored the winner off a pass from Maggie Bill with 2:27 left and Charlotte Campbell made two of her 11 saves in the final 1:21 for St. Anthony's (9-1) in a non-league win over the second-ranked team in the country.

Mt. Sinai 14, Wantagh 8: Kasey Mitchell and Sydney Pirreca each had four goals and an assist to lead Mt. Sinai (11-0) in its Long Island Challenge Tournament win at Farmingdale High School.

Cold Spring Harbor 14, Harborfields 7: Holly Logan had five goals and an assist, and Ashley Lynch scored four goals with four assists to propel Cold Spring Harbor (9-2) in non-league.

Highlights

MacArthur 10, Mepham 9: Alex Goodleman had two goals and scored with 30 seconds left in the second overtime to win it for MacArthur (6-1) in Nassau Conference IV. Caitlyn Buckley scored with 1:19 in the first overtime to give MacArthur a 9-8 lead. Mepham scored with 1:58 left to force a second overtime. MacArthur's Erin Vaughan Ware scored all three of her goals, including her last one with 1:39 left in the second half to tie the score a 8 and force overtime.

Harborfields 14, Huntington 13: Christina Turner (two goals, five assists) scored the winner with 1:08 left in the first overtime to lead Harborfields (6-4) in Division II. Turner also tied the score for Huntington with 3:39 left in regulation. Chandler Banks recorded eight saves, including a pivotal stop during the second overtime.

St. Dominic 22, Carle Place 21: Julia LoRusso, playing in her first game in three weeks due to illness, scored the game-winning goal with 11 seconds left. LoRusso, off a pass from Danielle Weir, also tied the game with 31 seconds left. LoRusso and Weir both scored four goals in the win. Brittany Ford made 10 saves, including a game-saving stop with one second left, for St. Dominic (7-4) in non-league.

Plainedge 8, Long Beach 7: Sara Stephens scored to make it 8-6 with a little over 10:00 left and Plainedge (2-5) would hold on for the win in Conference I. Stephens had three goals.

Manhasset 12, Cold Spring Harbor 10: Julia Glynn's unassisted goal with 1:13 left was the winner for Manhasset (6-1) in Conference IV. Lindsey Ronbeck added a goal with 47 seconds left. Emily Koufakis tied the score for Manhasset at 10 off an assist from Abby Kucharczyk with 5:30 left.

Anyone have any info on the US Lacrosse School Girls tryouts yesterday?

Yup...many girls got cut.

Nice to include yourself in, then discount everyone below you. People make me laugh.

As most of us were not there, what was the perception of the tryouts, has it been improved, were multiple points of view represented ( ie. evaluators from different clubs)

There were at least 8-10 coaches from all different high schools and club programs. A lot of stations and scrimmages to evaluate the girls. I thing schools and club programs well represented for all teams chosen.

So....why isn't anyone talking? Im curious about who made it. Guess I will see at Lehigh.

Do you have any information how playoffs will be run in Nassau County this year? Does creation of "Super Conf." change things?

My daughter went for the 1rst time so cannot compare to previous years. She said it was the most complete try-out she has been to in terms of extent of drills and felt everyone was given multiple chances to show what they can do.She also said it was a long tiring day.I know on the team she made their are girls from several travel clubs and many different high schools.She did say that the club that was most represented was YJ. As far as evaluators she said she thought she recognized YJ, TG, Liberty, Suffolk All-stars and multiple high schools but again felt YJ had the most representation.

Every team in Conference I, the Power Conference, will make the playoffs regardless of their in-conference record. There will be a decreasing number of teams for each conference as you walk down the grid - meaning, for example, seven from Conference II, five from Conference III, and so forth.

Lowlights

This is our first lowlight in some time, but did Bay Shore really need to rack-up fifteen goals in their first half against Connetquot? Was the result of the game somehow in doubt? BOTC appreciates that Bay Shore has not been getting some of the respect that the team might deserve in regional polls until recently. However, we think that while Bay Shore has made the transition to being a top team this season, they also need to control the offense against outgunned opponents. Playoffs are two weeks away - they will have more than enough time to unload offensively come playoff time.

Highlights

West Islip 15, Smithtown East 11: Vanessa Constantino scored five goals and had five assists in the win. Cara Douglas added three goals for West Islip (9-2) in Division I.

You can add sachem north in your low lights category. Sachem North coach nice job considering your team knows what that type of beat down feels like.

How are the team(s) for the Seniors' Only division formed? What criteria exists since there are no tryouts.
