Which teams do you think will make it out of the region & make it to play in the WSYL in Denver? What teams are registered to qualify?

Any team that writes the check can qualify. Its a joke. A scam. A money grab. Hopefully some club finds the guts to decline an invite and expose it for what it really is.

You are incorrect about the qualifying teams. Any team can go to the qualifying event, but only the top 4 will be invited to Denver. I went two years ago. It was an amazing experience for my son, but very expensive. I could've taken he and my wife to Italy and Spain instead.

Dead in the water. Maybe one of the local Tourney Organizers will step up and create a Tourney our here: "East Coast Supremacy"....do it local, over 2 days...same outcome, alot cheaper. Play it on Channel 12 , News Long Island. HAAAAAAA

I guess it is nice for the kids from the flyover states to see what real lacrosse looks like, but quite frankly it just doesn't make sense for us from the East Coast. Do people think this has the same prestige as the LLWS (news flash, it doesn't). Take the familiy to Italy and Spain...way better than flying to Denver to lose to Long Island Express or Team 91.

Sounds like a holdback team making excuses why they are not there. LIE going to bring it home this year with style

None are remotely close. Phenomenal experience. All the best of the best are there. But the treatment they give the kids is like movie star status. And there is no competitive team anywhere that isn’t going, unless they don’t qualify based on age or quality. Winning it is a boon to business, like nothing else. And it costs the clubs absolutely nothing. So trust me, if a club thinks they can qualify, they will be there. You won’t be disappointed. ,

Yeah, unless the defense crumbles like taz! That Taz defense was swiss cheese and a complete embarrassment and they know it. Don't let them tell you otherwise. They were 91's beaches. That final game was a complete disgrace. We tuned out of ESPN after the 1st qtr. Bad look for WSYL.

Most ridiculous response i've ever read. "Great for the club that wins it"... unless you are from long island, it aint your club that is going to win it. "Doesn't cost the club anything"...right...because it costs the parents of the players thousands...for a few days of kids getting "movie star status".
Does anybody really think it's prestigious? perhaps for the kids from Illinois. For the LIE kids its just another stomping ground where they don't have to deal with their dads as much because of the legalization of the leafy green in Colorado.
As soon teams from outside the Northeast start winning it regularly, it's just a marketing ploy to get your money. Sounds like this clown is willing to fork it over.

Is it fun for the kids? Sure. It is not a good measuring stick for quality though.

U ALL REALLY WANT TO FIX THE "CHEATING"? BOYCOTT THE WSYL.... You all sit here posting about it but will still write your checks, pack your bags and play a Long Island tourney in Denver. The T shirts should be given to the parents and say 'Sucker" on them. The only way to cure what ails youth lacrosse is to cut off the source of infection. Dont like "cheating"? THEN DONT PARTICIPATE...PROBLEM SOLVED! Or write your check and close your yaps

THEN DONT PARTICIPATE...PROBLEM SOLVED! Or write your check and close your yaps Such a dense post. You may feel that it is not worth it to travel to Denver and play a lot of money to play many LI teams and that opinion has some validity. But how is there cheating involved with the WSYL? They have a product and they advertise the product fairly (a U13 lacrosse tournament with clear age rules). People can then make an informed decision whether to participate or not. That's entirely different than what you cheaters from MD and PA do. You enter team in a tournament under the guise that its kids the same ages playing each other but you have your holdbacks that are older. That is cheating. Maybe it works out in that your kids get recruited in college but don't come on this board pretending its something its not. And you can take your $4k per year scholarship to college but the lesson you are teaching your kid - if you can't compete fairly then figure out a way to bend the rules - is weak.

Stop with the "cheating"..."You Play to win the game" Herm Edwards 3:16 And they win. There are those that win and those that point fingers....Which one are you?

As Al Davis said, Just Win Baby! Denver = Heist The organizers and directors are the only ones winning on July 4, make no mistake about it
