Will Geese even go to WSYL? I can't imagine they would qualify based off this past season.

Will Geese even go to WSYL? Cant imagine. Did they win any games this year? How would they pull in new talent? Will they even have enough for a team? Sounds harsh but dont mean to be. I have nothing against them at all.

Is it true 7 kids from 91 going to Express? Not true, it’s like 15 or 16! They will still be the 2nd best team on LI and will be renamed from 91 AA to Express B!!!

Other than Express, have any other teams accepted kids yet after tryouts? What does that mean? Lots of tryouts occurred this week. Have any other teams put out there rosters yet or contacted parents to offer there kids spots on teams? Last week express had tryouts and made offers fairly quickly. What about teams who had tryouts this week?

Who is going to be the head coach of Geese? Same person that's been coaching for years. No problem there. Rebels need to worry about who is coaching them. Or maybe they can just pretend they have one the same way they are pretending any high end players from other teams are joining them.

The lacrosse game is getting watered down I don't know if watered down is how I would describe it. Game is becoming too top heavy and ego-centric. 91 and Express are great teams that recruit and develop great players. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. The problem exists with the attitude that if you don't make and play substantial minutes on either of those clubs, then your kid shouldn't bother playing at all. This is what pushes parents to accept being the 24th-28th kid on these rosters to barely play and make excuses like "he is getting great training" or "he's getting better in practice because he's is practicing against strong players". Both of which may very well be true, but if those players found a fit with a club where they're getting coached AND played a substantial role, they'll develop just the same. And there most likely wouldn't be as far a dropoff in talent from those 2 clubs and the rest of the pack. Similarly, there wouldn't be as much of a dropoff from the secondary to tertiary teams.

Lots of teams poach. Many coaches secretly have been reaching out to kids for the past few weeks, trying to lure them to their team. That’s why current tryouts for some teams are a farce. The A team is all set before tryouts begin. The kids who are on the A team are, the returning real good players, the kids who have been poached the past few weeks, coaches kids and a few others political kids. Everyone else who isn’t in one of those categories is trying out for B and C team. Tryouts are a formality. A money maker for a club. Think about it. Lots of kids, lots of grades, 100 to 150 per kid, do the math, not bad.

I'm spot on too because no person that ever play this game or any other a t decent level would ever besmirch another from playing the game even if they're a beginner or not very good. Heck Michael Jordan was cut from his basketball team. heaven help your kid(s) for growing up with such a POS role model like yourself and the rest of the stunads on this board that think success at 12 equates to anything other than success at 12. Those T-shirts, the identity people like you and your kids for based on winning a tournament at 12 will all fade to nothing in 5, 10, 15 yrs.

There was a time when most 2nd teams were really good. It still exists is some examples e.g. warriors. It’s the coach and what he brings to the table. If you get a committed coach and a solid core of kids. They will stay because the development is solid. That’s why Roar, Three Village and GC are the best B teams. Those programs care and develop the players at practice. It’s that simple. With all this shifting, call the coach now before committing and voice your concerns and hear what the plan is. If they don’t call back, I would move on. Trust the process if it sounds solid.

Very impressive Rebels tryout tonight Lot of Igloo helmets there. Beyond me why any talented player would go to a subpar A team like Rebals. What did they do this Spring/Summer!?!? There are better A teams out there. And to leave a very good Igloo team to go to Rebals...Makes zero sense. Igloo all Daddy ball Since when is Igloo a VERY GOOD team. They never beaten a top tier team and have lost to town team ROAR several times. Igloo is a lower tier A team at best but more like a B team. Maybe their players are sick of the clique culture and are willing to make a change. Just because you think Igloo is good doesn't make it true, and maybe just maybe the daddy ball culture has people rushing for the door so they can at least see the field in Denver. Rebels is a team on the rise why the hating. Igloo is a good team but they are basically a town team made up of Huntington kids much like ROAR is made up of CSH kids. Express still the class of the bunch with the very best talent leaving current clubs to join them. Everyone else just playing for second place. Just the reality.

Those T-shirts, the identity people like you and your kids for based on winning a tournament at 12 will all fade to nothing in 5, 10, 15 yrs. You need a serious therapist. Your one of those people who read everything that is said negatively. Noone said that any kid that plays lacrosse shouldn't play club ball. That doesnt take away from the fact that there are too many teams and it's getting watered down. Lots of these teams cant roster a full team because there are so many different ones. And in process the talent gets too spread out. If we had less then everyone would have a chance to get on a team which would be A or B based on their skills. And you would see more competitive teams in each brackets tournaments. Of course on top of that, the top organizations have to stop overloading their teams. 22 is the max you should have on any team. Anything else is just directors lining their pockets. And they are taking away from all the kids playing time. Although I will say that parents should not put kids into club ball if they cant make the commitment. Or choose one of the smaller clubs who dont practice and tournament year round. Kids should defenitely play other sports. But lacrosse is a team sport. And your not being a team player if you miss constant practices. Not saying this is the majority. But their is a certain amount of parents who put their kids in but dont follow through on the time commitment.

Plus of course, many of these kids who dont play enough could be top kids on a different team. There parents are foolish and doing their kids a disservice keeping them there. They are cheating their kids out of great experiences playing lacrosse. Those kids will look back and remember only that they were riding the bench. And it will forever affect their self esteem.

I 100% agree that if some of these kids who are on Express and 91 who dont get playing time went to other teams, we would see much stronger teams outside those organizations. And the game would be far more competitive. However, every season new teams are popping up when the ones that exist can barely field a full team. That's watering down the sport. The sport has become all about people making money by forming new teams or overloading existing ones. Very little us about kids getting better and enjoying playing competitive lacrosse.

Wasnt Rebels a 1st year Program and Igloo been around for a while? The gap between those programs didnt look big at all this year. I bet Rebels, if they realy got some talent this summer, will even beat igloo. That team dont beat anyone except their own B teams. And teh 2025s looked worse at every tournament we played them in. They lost to Millon and CSH (b teams at best).... And call them selfs an A team. Charge like a Top team and compete like C team. And Express and 91 will slaughter them both.
