Agreed. The Hawks really want us to think that there giant players are not in high school. When you have multiple players on your team that are taller or as tall as every coach on the sideline no way that's a coincidence. Those giant kids should be playing up even if they were true 2024s. The things teams do just to get a few wins. Total garbage.

There’s only one problem with your logic. Bigger does not mean better. There wasn’t one kid on the Hawks that would see meaningful playing time on the Pack. Their only advantage was their size and obviously that didn’t help them at all.

Bro, you are completely delusional. Seriously. You are. To be fair, the Express defense was decent. Goalie was good. Fogo was good. Offense was non-existent. FYI. If you can't score goals, you can't win any games. Your organization prioritizes holdback size over lacrosse skill and IQ. And it shows. Big time! Express tries (and fails) to follow the MD cheater model. Bad idea! The skill level and IQ of your offense was, in a word, poor. No. Very poor. Sorry for the harsh reality check, but your offense is just bad. It's hard to imagine that with 32 kids on the Express roster, here on lacrosse-rich Long Island, you don't have any better lacrosse players available to pick from to play offense. Here's a tip. Your best players, might not be your biggest and oldest players. Woops! Just gave away the secret!

The Express offense has some good players. We have all seen them over the years. Hard to believe they have ZERO movement and set up for a midfield dodge most plays. Or attack from back of the cage.. Having big kids that can bull dodge through smaller players stops working around this age, and it has for them. My 5th grade PAL team has more movement. Pack ate it up, then watched the coach implode in a terrible way. Sad to see

You’re wrong. Express offense the past couple of years was “ok”. Not “good”. Their biggie ball served them well, and will continue to against most 2024 teams. But obviously not going to work against next level teams. To tell you the truth, it’s comparable to most better teams at this age. But to get to the next level, they need better players. Sorry If that sounds harsh, but that’s the way it is. Their offense is constructed for biggie ball. Not ball movement. Can’t be done with the group they gave now.

come on guy . Your team is the new middies you got . That’s it with out them . You’re right there with express !!

,

Before the new middies got there the 'pack had express number last season. New middies scored 2 of the 6. Smoked on the face offs, that was the difference. Great job on that dropped ball. Stop your whining. 32 player roster and still no answer. 6-1 beat down. Stop the parents from whining and nothing would be said, but obviously thats an issue for this team. Now Player 29/32 go out there and see if you can do something

your new ex express middie had 2 of 6 goals and assisted on another and didn't lose a face-off. I mean shame on express for not keeping him. Yet another reason express coach is worst at this age group. Based on his career track record he is better off as an assistant coach anyway. They need to bring in someone real and start over.

Go complain to the club you pay 1000s to. They own the framework and can change it. If you pay for an NLF founding club for travel, start there. The NLF clubs have the influence. And if play for one these clubs and complain about holdbacks....Your tuition fuels the system. I could care less, because it’s using the rules to your advantage.

Allow me to clarify. Packs secret to offensive success is total unselfishness/ball movement. But that wouldn’t work if they didn’t have the superior skill, field awareness and IQ, that each player possesses. One doesn’t happen without the other. Take a hard look at every position. Remove any of them from this team (speaking hypothetically of course!) and they are a superstar on any team. But on this team, there are no stars. There are only completely unselfish players that always prioritize team over self. Want proof? Goals and assists are always spread around evenly. The product of the team-first philosophy that is the engine that drives this team. How is all of this possible, at such a young (on age) team? Simple, it’s the product of the best coaching in the 2024 game. Plain and simple. Kudos to the coaching staff.

Wow, some of the comments here are just unreal. Hope you all live in lacrosse communities like Massapequa GC SW or WM. Because when your kiddos get to HS it’s going to be real tough getting pummeled by these teams game after game.

Express/Pack game I didn't see 1 assist. There was the 1 goal that deflected of a kids stick on the crease that went in so Ill give u that. Enough of this nonsense. Pack played really well and Express did not play well on Offense that game. I hope the boys play again. They will get better playing against each other more often.

You’re not too familiar with the town landscape apparently. Teams don’t win just based on the name of a town. There has to be talent in those towns. At this age, most of those towns don’t have top talent in this grade or surrounding grades. It’s been a well known fact for years. The top contenders will be the same top teams of the past several years at this age. The teams to beat will be SWR, BBP and Mt Sinai. The rest of the teams on your list will not be in contention, at least during the years of 2023 and 2024.

When is the last time SWR, or MS played SW or WM? But keep thinking your club team will dictate your kids success in HS. Seen it before, club kids can't adjust to losing if they dont win at HS level and become cancers for the coaches. You'll see, SWR is losing a generational talent next year. They won't contend again.

Omg. This is the same guy that said the Pack couldn’t compete and win the WSYL without adding older 2023’s who is also said the Pack couldn’t compete against the cheater teams without adding a bunch of holdbacks. Well, how are those pearls of wisdom going right now? The Pack is the #1 ranked team anywhere, isn’t that right my little know-it-all know-nothing troll. Any other pearls of wisdom for us, dummy?

BBP and Mt. Sinai are all Division II teams. If they played in Division I with the Ward Melville's and Smithtown West's of the world they'd be .500 at best.

Mt. Sinai and BBP combined have 1 class B county championship (Mt. Sinai 2015) and 1 LIC (BBP 2011) combined in their history.

SWR has an impressive Division II resume.

Mt. Sinai and BBP aren't a pimple on the butt of Ward Melville OR SWR. They shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath.

What are you talking about for 2024s? No way suffolk can compete with nassau. Pequa even beat bbp last year. Top team on island are all nassau with manhasset, gc, rvc and pequa. Bbp good but no depth and size so that gap started closing years ago. Swr same. Esm and commack less so. Who are you trying to fool? Cmon now

Bro keep living in the past! The past means nothing! Teams earn their status, they don’t inherit it! And believe it or not, it can’t be bought, unfortunately for your kid. Teams need good players to be good. Nassau teams don’t have them, at least not in the 24 grade. Well documented over many years. Best talent in 24 is in the fore mentioned towns and Suffolk in general. You know that. I know that. Everyone knows that. Unless your town has a lot of talent in either 23 or 25, none of your teams are going to do squat when your spoiled kid is in HS. Nope. Same ole same ole for junior. Those 3 teams will dominate the High School landscape in New York State in a couple of years. And if you think you need a big school to play big, you should know better. Wether it’s Smithtown or Mattituck, only 13 kids play, no matter how big the school or roster. Depth is not a prerequisite for success. However, these small school teams will have plenty of that. Unfortunately it’s going to be more of the same for your mediocre Nassau kid. Mediocre town team. Mediocre club team. Mediocre player. And that’s being kind. Yup. Just more of the same in store for you and junior. Inferior lacrosse.

Dude is right. Depth of talent at this grade, and grades close, are from those 3 towns. Not a secret. In 2023 and 2024 those three teams will be very tough to beat, regardless of division.

Pack parent here. No ax to grind. BBP-Pequa game last year was a one goal game. I was there. All pequa goals were scored by one player, who was a guest player, not from pequa. Starting midi on pack. 91 B team is all pequa players. Only A player is goalie on pack.

The 7th grade Howitt team (dalers) beat pequa 6-4. 2- 0 in the 5th when the Dalers played as 1 team. Pequa played their middies all game.

I have been a troll on this site for 5 years, and have nothing worthwhile to post because my kids have all been on bad town teams and bad club teams, because they are bad lacrosse players and bad athletes, just like their old man. You poor little pathetic man.

Hahaha, guess your little princess fits the bill huh! Don’t worry, she can always wear her club shorts an t-shirt. Hahahaha

You suffolk people have a lot of time on your hands. just keep that union job warm for your kid after the 4 years at towson

Towson???

Madlax stealth troll, go back to the cheater thread. I know, the MD parents hate you more than us. stinks to be you.

sorry feel free to replace towson with maryland, syracuse, ohio state, hofstra, stony brook....no job at the end of the rainbow. just back to your parents basement in commack, smithtown, bbq, shoreham, etc, etc

Good point Madlax stealth troll. So why is it that so many MD parents, including yourself, hold their kids back, thinking that will lead to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and thereby waste an entire year of a child’s life?? If there is no pot of gold, then why bother? Speaking from your own experience, how about you enlighten all of us Long Islanders as to what drives slime like you to do something so dumb. Can’t wait to hear this!

Doesnt Taz have an 8th grader too??

I think WP is the only legit 2024 team out there. They all are 7th graders and kicking everyones butt. Other teams all using 8th graders. Right?

Taz has 2. A defenseman and a mid.

Incorrect. Taz and Pack are both holdback-free. Cheater-free. Two top teams. Still no holdbacks. Still the best two 2024 non-cheating teams in existence. Same ole same ole.

Please stop. The big mid from MP is in 8th. He played varsity this year. And so is the defensemen that was hurt for the qualifiers.

Stop making up BS know nothing jealous little troll. I’m a Pack parent but I know Taz very well. No 8th graders, dummy. The kid you refer to, obviously a big talent, is a 7th grader who played JV this year. Not varsity. Yeah. Just another kid that makes your kid look like an embarrassment, which I’m sure he is. Now go back into your troll-hole and beat it!

Any predictions for the Denver tourney? My money is on Taz to run the table, and beat up on all of the inferior 15 year old cheater teams. Go boys. You got this!!

MD teams use exclusively 8th and 9th graders. Hey, how disgraceful was that hawks team last weekend? Anybody ever see a bigger abuse of the rules by a team before. I’ve been doing this a very long tome and I have absolutely never seen such a disgraceful team. They had at least 6 kids over 6’ tall 160 lbs on the field at all times. Some of the kids, and more than one, was 6’2”. And these are not bean pole kids. They are built like men. Absolutely a disgrace.

Dear MD Cheater Troll,

So you have held your sucky kid back twice so he can go to an ivy school. Hope he has good grades, because he won’t be going there to play lacrosse. Ivy’s want good players. They have no use for sucky cheater players from sucky holdback teams. Your teams stink. Your kid stinks. Pretty simple concept. Understand now?
