The team got a lot better, but like all 5th grade teams it has a long way to go.

This has to be a child- no adult (parent) would really come onto a forum and talk such smack over a 5th grade sport. I was also present and Bethesda did seem to out coach the Hawks with their zone defense and they also may have been “unorganized and slow” but... they won. Bethesda played well. Their defense was on point. Good luck to all the 2026 players this season.

Some of the language and behavior in the stands and on the sidelines is atrocious. Grown adults cursing in front of children and puffing out their chest over 5th grade lacrosse.

Over the years, I have cringed at comments from opposing parents, as well as parents of my son's teammates. It isn't exclusive to lacrosse either.

It’s really upsetting that parents of 5th graders think their kids are perfect and make no mistakes! As good as your kid may be, or you think they may be, they ARE human and do make mistakes!
