no one watches girl lacrosse Why are you on girls lacrosse forum? Do you really need to ask that question. Obviously has a kid that plays who he thinks has not received the recognition they deserve so is bitter and wants to diminish the accomplishments of others to feel better about themselves. Sad .

9 Northwestern girls on the USA U19. Who’s the coach. That’s funny. It is much worse than that.... Head Coach- Northwestern, all three assistants and the manager played for the head coach at Northwestern. One assistant is the head coach at U. Mass, one at Colorado and one at the Byrn Mawr School. The Manager is a Director for the Mass Elite club program. Of the current 34 player roster, the following have a direct relationship with one of the five coaches/manager: Northwestern- 9 U Mass- 2 Colorado- 1 Bryn Mawr- 1 Mass Elite (not already counted above)- 3 So 16 of the 34 players have a direct relationship with the leadership of the U-19 team. If that is not outrageous enough, the Mass Elite travel program has 6 players on the team. As a comparison, Yellow Jackets 3, M&D 2 and Skywalkers 1. No other club team had more than 3.

Look when they tried to implement an age change for youth lacrosse the Directors of the travel programs laughed at them. When soccer implemented an age change everyone complied. US Lacrosse doesn't have any power.

Only meaningful lax occurs on top 20 college D1 teams. I would give that “organization “ a dime

Money grab. Schools are taking advantage of the later commits. Have your daughter play with her club team this summer and if she performs well the interest will be there.

If a school your daughter is (very) interested in reaches out to your club director and says that they are interested, you are foolish not to go to their camp. For example, Duke and UVA make it clear that they recruit heavily from their camps. I am not saying that every school does and your club director can investigate this for you, but don't let a good opportunity to reciprocate interest pass you by. Even on a top team, you run the risk of your daughter not being in and/or playing poorly when her dream school is briefly watching next summer.

The emails from college coaches to club directors mentioning specific names are legit. Money grabs come in the form of an email blast announcing a camp/prospect day.

Thats true to some degree, but if they email 20 club directors with 10 kids names on the list..pretty sure a lot of those kids would plan on going to that camp, since the school is interested...remember camps are a big source of their income...just be careful and pick the schools that fit your kid.

While I agree if a school your daughter is interested in reaches out to your club director and tells them they have an interest in your daughter you would be doing your daughter a disservice by not going .Saying that Duke and UVA make it known that they recruit heavily from their camps is just not correct in my experiences with either one and have seen them at way too many summer tournaments to believe that to be true. Camps give both your daughter and the coach a much better chance to see if they are a good fit for one another.

Duke was explicit in “the email” to club directors stating how many field players/goalies they are taking for 2021 and that they recruit heavily from camp - if not exclusively. I think possibly staying all but 1 recruit for 2020 attended camp.

Yes many players who are committed already attend the schools camps and many who they have expressed interest in attend the schools camp but they do not recruit exclusively from their camp. If you are a good enough player they will extend an offer regardless of if you went to their camp , if they are interested in you, going to their camp will show them you are also interested in them and help facilitate the process.

After all she was supposedly a big proponent of the rule change.

If you do a little math Duke probably has around 1,000 kids at their overnight camps in the course of a year, at $600 each that's a nice part-time job if you can get it. Also, that is why virtually every club coach in the country gets the email from them that they're interested in the following 5-6 kids and would love to see them at camp - realistically less than 5% are really there to be seen by Duke and the rest are donating

Is there a place to view the Suffolk County 2019 Seedings? Seedings for what? Suffolk classifications and schedules are based solely on enrollment - no power conferences, if that's what you mean.
