Cage Sage I am new to girls high school lacrosse maybe you or someone on this site can answer my questions? First are divisions ability based or school population? Can you list both the girls divisions for 2013 for both Nassau and Suffolk, I have heard that there was a realignment but have only been able to locate the boys. Is there somewhere I can locate this information on the web, it's not available on Sportspak. Thanks for the help in advance.
Sincerely,
Lax Newbee

They play in the power conference during the year and then they go back to size classifications for the playoffs.

Our BOTC take has always been that such edicts are more a sign of weak coaching than anything else.

What's the name of this "Knut Rockne" of lacrosse? Maybe we need to do some investigative checks on "coach" and request appropriate FOIL data?

I think my district has banned parents from a first scrimmage, too. Not lax, I don't think (bad memory!), but basketball. Stupid, although in reality a scrimmage is supposed to be akin to a practice and we wouldn't attend a practice... I think some parents went and didn't get the boot, though, if that's useful info. YMMV

Our BOTC take has always been that such edicts are more a sign of weak coaching than anything else.

What's the name of this "Knut Rockne" of lacrosse? Maybe we need to do some investigative checks on "coach" and request appropriate FOIL data?

Can they have you arrested if you go? Maye bench your daughter?
. Just an FYI- any one can attend a practice/scrimmage/ game held in or at a NYS public school unless the district has banned them as a result of a violation such as breach of spectator code of conduct policy. A phone call to the BOE sounds like it may be necessary.

not in either district but have gone to W.M. games and I can understand why parents are not allowed. Some parents are very belligerent , I have seen parents punch fences, kick chairs yell obscenities at coaches and refs. I felt unsafe around them and actually moved away from them.
