Thank goodness this YJ thing is over , gonna skip the final year as the coach is a terrible role model. Tournament where your uncommitted teammates are at , don’t bother going , mandatory practice ,don’t show up. Repercussions for the above is you play more than anyone else because the coach is a joke . What happened

No other program had more than one winner/runner-up. The two best programs are still the same, YJ and M&D. As for other top programs at the MAC, Skywalkers, Heros and Top Guns all managed just a runner-up as their best showing.

CR has been running 5-8 tournaments for years. Double dipping by charging her kids YJ registration fees and then directing her teams to her tournaments. Then on top of that, she manipulates accepted teams and the brackets her teams play in. No conflict of interest at all why all the complaints? Truth. CR has lost the respect of her players. We played the 2020 YJ team at G8 and they could barely field a team . Spoke with one of the parents and they said a lot of the players went to the money grab committed tournament desperate to get their names mentioned in inside lax. Seems disrespectful to not support CR at her own tournament and even worse to your uncommitted teammates . Given the fact that these kids could play in that other tournament the next two years and the other teams in the division were at full strength it just goes to show you that the “it’s all about me “ attitude of many of those YJ kids and parents is alive and well . Gross. The Committed Academy is a great event. If you are looking to hold players back for your own daughters benefit you are the selfish one. Club is not HS, it is pay to play and if a player chooses not to attend a tournament due to a conflict that is their business . Committed Academy is not Under Armour in terms of competition but it is high level. There is much more to this event than playing lacrosse . If your daughter has the opportunity to attend she should go. Great experience ! Your response is comical. First off lets not pretend that having the opportunity to attend the CA is some great honor as the only accolade you need is being committed and desperate enough to shell out the money for hope your kid gets mentioned in inside lax. The simple fact that you describe being called out for not supporting your kids current teammates as her being held back says all anyone needs to know about you and your selfish little brat. Do you think those other teams that were at full strength did not have committed kids , but those kids and parents understand what being a good teammate is about and also know they can do that money grab CA the next two years if they want .I get that some snobby self absorbed person like you does not care what the other parents opinion is of you or your kid but I can guarantee you their opinion is that you are simply gross. You had the opportunity to teach your kid what being a good teammate and friend is about but elected to teach her everything is about her , good luck with that attitude moving forward.

I have to disagree with you here. If the committed players choose not to go to G8 to have a pool party or something then you're a 100% right. The fact that they missed G8 to go to another lacrosse event to play with and get to know the other girls that are committed to the same college as them is a valid reason in my mind. If you want to point fingers maybe the club should have done a better job balancing the teams ahead of time. The uncommitted players must have had plenty of playing time in front of coaches sounds like a better deal to me..

By this time of the year the girls and parents are done with lax and ready for it to be over.

Club lacrosse is a business. It is a business for the club owners, the club coaches, the players / parents, the college coaches, the people who run the tournaments etc... How people choose to spend their time and money is their business. Where and when they choose to play is their business. If the club director chooses to not take a player on a team it is their business. Parents should do what they believe is best for their child. You want people to help your child and when they put their own child first you call them selfish. You believe it is okay to put your own child first and that your opinion is superior to the opinion of others.

Pathetic response at best. Your kid is part of a team , sometimes being part of a team means not doing the selfish thing . By the way you dope the definition of selfish is essentially ' lacking consideration for others, concerned chiefly with one's own personal advantage" or doing exactly what you did. Your LI education and upbringing is laughable in that you have no idea what a selfish dope you sound like. My kid is committed and actually showed up to support her teammates and friends and got to play in front of her future college coach at the G8. Hopefully your kids future college coach was there and was wondering why your little brat did not show up to support her teammates , maybe you can tell them your kid has to do what's right for her even if its not what is best for the team because the college coaches love that attitude.

Travel lacrosse is a business through and through. It is ok on occasion to do what is best for your kid and attend a college camp or the Committed Academy to play with your recruits. CR and coaches know up front what tournaments kids have signed up to play in. Why don't most uncommitted kids view it as an opportunity to get more playing time in the showcase event. To be honest, after years of being part of travel lacrosse, parents see it for what is it - "a business" - rosters of 24 kids, limited practices and rosters packed with friends and family etc, In our family we view travel lax much differently than school sports. I think it is great that some families would not miss a travel lax event because team always comes first. I just think this might be a minority view.

As your bitter attitude suggests you are not concerned one bit about the team or the players. It is not HS or College Lacrosse where The Team comes first. You choose to do what you think is best for your daughter and you also want to tell the rest of us what we should have our daughters do. Get over yourself.

All of youth lacrosse is about promoting your own kid, putting them in the best possible situations. I could care less about anyone else’s kid unless they’re helping mine look better. I don’t drive up and down the turnpike every weekend because I have nothing better to do. I could care less about CR. She would dump my kid in a second if she wasn’t making her organization look good. Like the other poster said, it’s a business. My business is my daughter.

Great to see some families finally saying blank to CR. I have never ever seen a service business where customer kisses the providers butt and not the other way around. People who pay her 3, 4, 5 thousand dollars a year and still feel like they need to bow to her. Personal training, winter, clinics, camps, fall tournaments, BBQ's, bus tours, fundraisers, people feel obligated to do them all.

The kids that were the top players in 9th and 10th grade are still the top players. Did your daughter not get recruited early by the top programs? How about after her rising senior summer? Did Maryland and North Carolina come knocking? How about BC or Princeton? JMU, Navy, Penn, Northwestern? I'm sure you are one of the people sitting around waiting for those early recruits to fail. Tough way to go through life.

Its time to switch to Top Guns Good luck if you want to subject your kids to that sociopath And CR is better?? Her teams are falling apart left and right, she's already lost some of the best girls to TG and more will follow, especially in that 2023 age group. What a disaster! Last tourney the refs had to call the tourney director at half time because they felt SS was abusing and berating her players beyond anything they had ever seen and it needed to be stopped and btw in a close game, yes even a showcase, the bottom third of the roster doesn't play a minute - that's who you want your daughter playing for?

I am a believer that you need to earn your place on the field. If you are the bottom of the roster, work harder and demand your respect.

There aren't many good YJ coaches. They have the best talent so they win a lot in spite of the coaches. How many kids especially in the middle to the bottom of the roster are getting better? In close games the coaches are overmatched. the players carry the day. Most of the coaches paid in tons of money as players. Started working cheap and then CR kept them around
