Has nothing to do with Nassau County "Cage" it's all about the powers that be in Town of Oyster Bay and that is a fact.

In SCPAL the director of each town is given the dates of his home games and it's his job t o schedule them on Sunday. The only caveat is the games have to touching, you can't do 9, then 11then 2, I'f the Directors choose they can reach out to other directors and make requests that for the most part honored if possible. I think it's a simpler task

OBLL Week #2 Schedule (March 9th/10th)

True Blue will lose players next year people in all age groups not happy,no OBLL.

Please clear this for me, will they lose players in their "A" teams or "The other" teams.

Only a real loser would answer a post about kids referring "A" or "others".

Parents should know the deal before writing checks. If they weren't told that they were doing a spring league and they didn't ask, oh well.

My son played OBLL for 3 years and most of the games were blowouts and they got nothing out of it but shooting practice. Hopefully, the clubs are behaving better these days and things have improved. Lots of BS with who you were scheduled to play and who actually showed up. I think we played the same teams 3 times one year.

It's nice to get the boys out in the spring playing games and shaking off the rust but IMO it's not worth the 2 or 3 meaningful games they played a year. Especially with winter leagues and winter training sessions being all the rage lately. Some of these boys are already practicing with the JV and the middle school season starts in a few weeks. They will get plenty of lacrosse in the spring between school and club practices without the OBLL.

Players will leave because they dont get to play in the over rated OBLL....wow ...Will you leave if you have a successful summer season this year!

Last year the competition and teams were good. It's a good practice league to tune up for the full-on travel season. If your intent is to get your team together to work on plays and practice working together as a team, then it's worth it. If your objective is for fierce competition, then let me know where you find that in a spring league here on LI.

Based on the last 2 years the only downside of OBLL is that the league administration does not do the right thing and publish a schedule ahead of time so that players and parents can schedule their other activities and family commitments. We've asked this on this forum several times, but either the main decision maker over at OBLL (aka MC) doesn't care or doesn't care.

Some elite teams play up a year against some good teams so I kind of balances out. The point is they're playing real games. Maybe TB has other ideas. Why don't you ask them . Teams can always contact other teams and set up a game.

I'm a true Blue parent, and most parents are delighted with the fact that they are sitting out of that sad, disorganized mess of a league (OBL)...
True Blue has plenty of practices, scrimmages and spring tournaments by high quality coaches...
if people want to leave, let them... plenty of elite players are gravitating to TB - non nonsence approach at very reasonable rates

Please stop with this nonsense. Lets say you have a 5th grade team(2020). You would miss out on playing the Vipers, the Outlaw "A" and "B" teams and an Express team.
All for the low, low price of $2,000 per team!
And since they are the only teams in that age group, you can play them 2 or 3 times each.
Where do I sign up?

The Directors, Coaches and Parents are the ones who should "Stop the Nonsense".
If everyone would play in the league it would be better. Stop resenting, hating and complaining about the league and go start one "a non profit" out of the kindness of your heart. The kids want to play but the parents want to [lacrosse] and complain.

Some Tournaments cost $1,000 plus for the day. $2,000 for 10 games is not so bad.

Go get the fields, get the officials, get the teams, put out a master schedule and make sure it all runs smoothly! Oh, and do it for free.

Small minded people [lacrosse] and complain about what other people do but they never do anything on their own.

Play in the league or don't but please stop complaining.

MC does bring in other teams to play.

Nope 2021 Wolverines vs 2020 Outlaw Black is the game scheduled

OBLL just canceled Saturday's games due to field conditions, Sunday's games are still on at this point.

Next weekend is Shamrock Shootout. Is it possible to get game times earlier than Wednesday so we can try to do our OBLL game AND be at all our Shamrock Shootout games?

CageSage, would you reach out to OBLL and ask if they could try their best to pull together schedule for this week.... might have similar challenge for town team player in 2 weeks for Syosset Tournament too.

What is the difference between Outlaws Black and Silver? If each B/S would play each other per grade would there be a big difference in the outcome '20 thru '17? Understanding B may come out on top.

Why would you say that? Only a member of the organization must have wrote they will loose players for not joining Oyster bay. Did anyone know they were not a part of Oyster bay when that post was written. What team are the posters from ? Blue/A or White/B? Many people think true blue is a good organization and may jump at the oppurtunity to join next year if they thought there was room on their established '17 or '19 "Blue/A" teams. Not sure how many would jump if it were the "White/other" team.
