Guess you will have to wait until spring to find out unless your son makes the team. Better learn how to beat a zone defense. #alwayshatingonthehawks #cantbeatthemjointhem College coaches love watching kids playing zone D. #tooslowforman. #allaboutthewins Just focus on finishing the eighth grade first kids. No college coach is watching you play D in 7th or 8th grade...C'mon!

Hogan is the new king of Maryland youth lacrosse - best teams, best tournaments, etc. Look at 2023. Owns Crabs and RM. Dominant team. Naptown destroyed Young Guns. Look for the best remaining Crabs to tryout for Hawks. Someone trying to start rumors. Wait a few minutes and they will respond to their own post. Worry about your own team but more importantly focus on your own kid. Let me guess ... your kid made Crabs 2023 for the first time this year .... Who are you going to blame when your kid doesn't even make the Crabs team next year? That is a painful reality for you, that is why you are so bitter towards kids. Kids leaving the team, new kids added to the team...the outcome will be the same for you no matter what. Good luck!

Igloo API all struggle as they get older. You play zone D to win games as coach it does not develop talent. You also play zone D because you do not have talent

How many 22's Hawks reclassing and will be playing for 23's next year? Not a single one. All are committed to the various high schools they chose Goalie? One is fully committed to Dematha. Other is already a 2023 but will stay up with 2022. He will go up to 2021 before ever playing 2023 2022s won’t play spring ball any more. He’ll play 2023.

I like to come in and look at the 2023 and younger forums sometimes.
After looking at them, it makes me so glad my sons are in High School playing now.
The same garbage is going on now as a couple of years ago. It actually sounds worse .
The worst thing I see and hear is that the Holdback/prefirst/reclass garbage is growing.
Our sport is a non money sport that is becoming a joke in fair play as it pertains to youth lacrosse . I dont see it getting any better frankly.

All of the drama created by them. Blaming coaches, players, other parents. Creating an unhealthy environment for kids to be around all because they want more playing time for their own kid.

Or you play zone D because the other team is full of holdbacks and older kids that you can’t match up physically. It’s actually the smartest way to play against older players that are bigger and stronger.

He is no different than any other coach associated with Baltimore Private schools who has a son playing lacrosse. I cant think of one that has not held their son back. They all know the drill.

Is the Crabs owner in charge of NLF? Or did the 2023 just get lucky to have he easiest first two games. Put in a 4 team division with True but did not have play that team. And based on tiebreakers ends up with the 3 seed and plays HHH. So Crabs walks into the semis where they will get embarrassed by True.

Crabs will turn over fifty percent of its roster. Most of those middies that filled in after the exodus last year will be gone. 5th grade won three legit tourneys and 6th grade dominated. This year’s team won a rec level tournament. Now RM takes over. Heads will roll.

Yes Crabs and HHH always get gifted an easy schedule so it looks like they did well. But get trashed when they play anyone decent.

It’s pretty common knowledge & not hard to come by if your son, like mine, is a 2023, goes to a MIAA school & plays club lacrosse. The boys all have friends on every team & the parents know coaches in most of the programs. I think it’s a reasonable assumption that he will coach his son’s team. But I don’t know for certain.

Since the 2023 team has yet to win a game in the HoCo for 2 years or any tournament ever, and with tryouts two weeks away, it seems MM would advertise his takeover of 2023 to increase interest in the team.

It's a broken system. Schools and coaches at the 6-8th grade levels somehow need to find the morals to step in and address this with parents who are happy to work the system. Maybe the Millennial coaches can stop it... and how is it that often it's the high end or expensive schools that are the worst offenders??

Now that tournaments are for the most part complete and with tryouts starting early to mid August this is a key year for this group. Here are my rankings for what is likely to be the HOCO elite bracket in the spring. Too many teams to rank them all: 1. Hawks: Despite a zone d they still are the team to beat 2. DC Dogs (CB): close number 2 improved team need to beat Hawks 3. Crabs: well below the top two could fall further with a bad tryout 4-5. NL and Looney's: this is an interesting matchup as they each had some good wins and bad losses. Hard to separate these two. Not sure what happened to NL at Young Guns 6. FCA loss's to Looney's places them at 6 but very solid team could move to #3 with a good tryout. 7. Bethesda-DCE. Seem to be going in the other direction may move down further. Not a great summer showing. 8. The next team to enter Elite. Most likely VLC but could be SR or Cav. VLC appeared to play the toughest summer schedule and only second year team. 9. Team 91: Is Millon going to coach his son??? 2019 HOCO season should be fun. Enjoy youth lacrosse this last season for these boys!

The holdback division. My older kid who did an extra year of school can bear your on age kid. Who cares. Snowflake gets an advantage cause daddy will spend an extra $25k to live his lacrosse dream through junior who could not hack on age.

Is the FOGO and attack (the one that score a bunch of goals against True DC or Next Level (Played for them at the WSYL)? They are difference makers for sure.

The craziest thing was the Dog parents cheering like they won the lottery at the end! If their kids are rising 10th graders, that’s 15! Most 2023 kids are 12/13!
