Express without their older kids had a rough time getting past the LI Outlaws in the last game. Score doesn’t even remotely show how close thatbgame was. AJ didn’t even play his kid because he thought he was going to lose.

Any coaching changes at Md 91? 0 for 12 two straight seasons in HoCo. Word is Millon as his son is 2023. Confirmed. Cheating with his own son but kicking out good players from other teams. Hahaha! That is hard to believe. If true about holding son back for lacrosse, it says a lot about Lacrosse and where it is heading with the supposed top club teams or frankly any teams . All across 8th grade and below, lacrosse is a minefield with holdbacks, future holdbacks, guest players , just plain cheaters, etc, etc... I see no hope in sight as there is no real governing agency in lacrosse. USL is a joke. (They are good at putting out a PC correct magazine tho) . Expect the same BS and everything that is wrong to continue with lacrosse. Soccer had many of same issues years ago. Their governing body took years to clean up, but now its about as good as you can get with players at top level. All have id cards and must be on age.

True Illinois stacked the team with Annapolis Hawks and Crabs, along with other local players. All star teams all around that tourney. Only a few teams were actually made up of consistent rosters. Uniform distribution took place in the parking lot. Local lacrosse is dead. The days of playing lacrosse at a reasonable price with neighborhood kids is over. Not a MM fan to say ththe least but even he couldnt stand for the nonsense.

Heard Millon's team lost to True and after kicked some others out of the tournament? What happened?d What was the point of asking for proof kids are in 7th grade and than not checking rosters? And no National Teams...Freedom and True both National teams at this point. I absolutely know why. The kid is on age (even young for his grade) but was told he is too good and would dominate the tournament. This is not made up. Verify any way you would like. Unbelievable.

Summer club lacrosse is the Wild West new frontier with guest players, movement among teams, rising grade players holding back, and not roster requirements. It has become the old hero’s pick up summer league on steroids with no accountability. Families/players accept an invite in late summer after tryouts based on the expectation that the team will remain in tact through summer only to them have the bait and switch. The year round club “season” dues include summer tourneys. All star teams are one thing and should be allowed only in tournaments that are not geared toward competitive club teams that select tournaments with the expectation of competing with similarly situated clubs that do or don’t play in spring league.

The reason there is such backlash in taking this good kid off of the field is because many other teams had Guest players and nothing was done. You do not get to pick and chose nor do you make a spectacle when children are involved. Youth lacrosse has turned in to nothing but money and vendettas for Club owners. Parents should get together and start their own teams. Have the boys who just want to play do so. You would most likely beat all of the club teams! These are supposed to be fun years for a Child. Not practicing 4 days a week, Tournaments every weekend. Kids are told they can’t even play other sports or attend important events. They may be kicked off a team or lose their starting spot. For what?! Why would parents even allow someone to even dictate this. Can’t wait for this sport to implode along with all of the Club owners. Time for some regulations!

Saying you have best tournament or club team is like claiming you have the best pizza in NY! How do you even know. Kids just want to play lacrosse or eat pizza they don’t really care about the other stuff. The greed of adults. Very sad.

Is it really true that MM had his older son play on 2023 in this tourney? Did he really kick out A player from True. Because he is not the same player referred to in this recent posts. Crabs has kids on ACS and another group on Team Baltimore in other tourneys. Now it is posted they had kids on True. What about Duke National? Seems odd since that team this year is a major drop off from prior two years, put together a midfield from a prior years B teams, and won nothing.

If You are going to kick out "guest" players yhem i do wonder why he didn't do the same with all guest players from Both teams? Anybody know why that is? MM care to comment? Why single out one kid. Without guest players NL and LIE meet in the final. No question.

Why didnt the Hawks compete in this tournament? They can come to LI but not play in their own backyard? Why didnt the Hawks compete in this tournament? They can come to LI but not play in their own backyard? Because they just competed in Naptown. They don’t need to chase phony world or national or North American champion titles. Reminds me of the old WWE where the same 10 wrestlers competed for the diffferemt named titles. And news flash, the recruiting rules chamnged so what is the point of these tourneys other than more money for those who host them. Hawks does it right. Now, on the flip side, ask yourself why Crabs is not at any of them - wsyl, naptown, or Millon - only NLF because it is a founder ....

From the 2023 National Championahip website:
ROSTER VALIDATION
The rising 8th National 2023 championship is trying to ensure we don’t have "super" teams or all-star teams made exclusively for this championship event. All teams must be in the 2023 class and a team that competes year round.
In order to be considered for this Championship the club director must do the following.
Submit a complete roster by Jan 15, 2018. Roster must include players number, full name, school, and birthdate. Provide a copy of the players report card from the 2017 fall school year. Provide proof of your spring league (you will need their records for seeding purposes). Provide a list of all fall 2017/spring 2018 tournaments, and summer schedule. Pay tournament non refundable deposit $1,000

Also from the 2023 NC website. How did 91 Md meet the criteria (winless in Hoco, never won a tournament) —
SELECTION PROCESS
Only teams competing in AA leagues and similar-level tournaments will be considered.
The selection criteria will be based off of the following elements:
Spring league to date (if applicable) Spring & Fall tournament success Head to head wins & losses 2017 Summer tournament record SELECTION COMMITTEE
Our selection committee will be the determining factor on the 16 teams that enter this Championship. The selection committee members are esteemed members of the lacrosse committee and were chosen based on their resume and a few important criteria in regards to the 2022 grad class.

Club lacrosse scene at this age is really getting to be too much. Inconsistent Dad coaches, Crazy Parents, selfish players, clubs trying to just win and not develop players, and terrible coaching.... The amount of money time and energy this year for 7th grade lacrosse was really just a flop that a lot of parents are experiencing and has been consistently just going down hill over the years. It is really getting to be a bit much and really need to figure out what club is going to be the best fit next year if any really.... I don't care about wins and losses. Being on the best team is not important... Just want my kid to be coached.

After meeting MM this weekend, for the first time, he is about as arrogant as they come. I would not put it past him to make his own rules, and not follow them. Our team submitted all appropriate player information requested, had no guest players, played by the rules. Here is my take away. Re-name the tournament, because it is just another tournament with poor officiating, no facilities, MM couldn't even trust his employees to keep time on the scoreboard (only for 2 min 1/2 time). However, the competition was top notch and I was glad to have our team play against teams from all over the country.

Also not following Tie Breakers listed on website. Say what you want about WSYL they are least required Birth Certiciates and Report Cards with each registration. This “National Championship” a joke Yes WSYL required that information at the April registration, but they never did a roster check in Denver. the only way to do that is before each game an official do a visual ID check like in Football and soccer... But lets be honest that's not going to happen at these tournaments, all we can hope for is honest coaches (if that exists)

Would it been better if they just called themselves Madlax Cap. not DC dogs. Please tell us how this old Club Blue team should of handled this? They could of just all showed up at Madlax tryouts and beat out all the kids already on the Cap team. Would that been ok with you?
