Because you are asking parents to spend another 1000 dollars and give up another 2-3 weeks of the summer just to play in a tournament that is less competitive than the ones they have been playing in all spring/summer.

If the player is good, and has grades they will be recruited. Period. If you want to know about the process, ask someone who went through it. No need to charge money for that. It should be a courtesy of the club, after-all, it is in their interest to get kids recruited.

What a slap in the face to ask for more for something that should be included!! Anyone who shows up at one of these where money is charged should have a big L painted on their forehead!

I know its a sore subject but this organization also runs 5 or more tournaments a year that they register the YJ's for at full price. So the YJ's get to keep more of their players registration money because they don't have to pay out a portion of it to other tournaments like the other organizations do.

Shame on US Lacrosse? You must be new. US Lax is a complete joke. All they want is their membership fee. They should have done legit player cards decades ago but they always defer to club lax who yield the power in the sport. That being said The YJ death grip on LI has loosened and talent is more fragmented then ever.

YJ 2022 has a 33% of winning the National Championship 3 of the 9 teams are YJ
YJ 2024 A and B playing each other today couldn't we just do this at Mitchell Field
Looking forward to seeing the National Champs tweets from CR on Sunday

Is it true that the NXT parents got kicked off the sideline? Aren't they running the event? Yes, yes they did. Great game but referees got worked. One goal seesaw game that sadly got very heated. NXT won in June 9-7 and Yelliw Jackets won today 7-6. Look like repeat Igloo vs Yellow Thorn as Igloo beat Yelliw J Right 9-3 and NXT list 7-6. Top 3 very good then next 3 close with Right Yelli, LI Jesters and Orange PA XPRESS. Next 3D Oregon showed up from West Coast and played pretty good.

Putting aside the comments about the level of completion expense and length of the season.. the US Lacrosse National Tournament was a great event. the site in Delaware is brand new with beautiful fields, and is an easily reached located for most. The championship game was an awful lot of fun for the kids and parents..with a professional broadcast that was live streamed and is still available on youtube. the link to the U14 game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3C_1zkeTyywIt's a shame some clubs choose to skip this one, How awesome would it have been if all the best teams were there.

CR has been running 5-8 tournaments for years. Double dipping by charging her kids YJ registration fees and then directing her teams to her tournaments. Then on top of that, she manipulates accepted teams and the brackets her teams play in. No conflict of interest at all why all the complaints? Truth. CR has lost the respect of her players. We played the 2020 YJ team at G8 and they could barely field a team . Spoke with one of the parents and they said a lot of the players went to the money grab committed tournament desperate to get their names mentioned in inside lax. Seems disrespectful to not support CR at her own tournament and even worse to your uncommitted teammates . Given the fact that these kids could play in that other tournament the next two years and the other teams in the division were at full strength it just goes to show you that the “it’s all about me “ attitude of many of those YJ kids and parents is alive and well . Gross. The Committed Academy is a great event. If you are looking to hold players back for your own daughters benefit you are the selfish one. Club is not HS, it is pay to play and if a player chooses not to attend a tournament due to a conflict that is their business . Committed Academy is not Under Armour in terms of competition but it is high level. There is much more to this event than playing lacrosse . If your daughter has the opportunity to attend she should go. Great experience ! Your response is comical. First off lets not pretend that having the opportunity to attend the CA is some great honor as the only accolade you need is being committed and desperate enough to shell out the money for hope your kid gets mentioned in inside lax. The simple fact that you describe being called out for not supporting your kids current teammates as her being held back says all anyone needs to know about you and your selfish little brat. Do you think those other teams that were at full strength did not have committed kids , but those kids and parents understand what being a good teammate is about and also know they can do that money grab CA the next two years if they want .I get that some snobby self absorbed person like you does not care what the other parents opinion is of you or your kid but I can guarantee you their opinion is that you are simply gross. You had the opportunity to teach your kid what being a good teammate and friend is about but elected to teach her everything is about her , good luck with that attitude moving forward. You need to switch to decaf.

All the M&D committed kids were at G8. That 2020 YJblue team is all about upping one another. It’s not a matter of getting other kids recruited. It is about going to a event you signed up for. Biggest my kid is better than your kid parents around

I really don't know what these people are talking about...Igloo beat Thorn and it was a great game...Lots of talented girls on both teams...Jesters looked great out there and Wright's team put up a good fight, and but were definetly outmatched on the draw by a few of the big girls on that team...They usually don't get to play the top teams so good for them! Oregon was great and so was NXT...it is what it is...it was a good tournament. Hopefully it can expand and add more teams.

Biggest my kid is better than your kid parents around I will admit I’m trollin’ a bit, sadly. I enjoy reading perspectives from various organizations and feel I’m a decent judgement of character. You are spot on with the comment about “me first/elitest” YJ parent attitudes. Luckily it’s not the players posting, but they are obviously a product of their environment. On an M & D note, your director has to tone it down a bit regarding his behavior. At his own tournament at Garrison Forest he made a fool of himself as he was out of control. Embarrasing. How about this: watch your kids/their teammates and support them. Tell them “I loved watching you play.” Enjoy a vacation in late July/Early August and rejuvenate. Imagine all the pressure these girls are under.

Actually Wright’s team does get to play top competition, because CR puts them into tougher brackets throughout the season than the Thorn team. But overall the top teams in the grade weren’t there so it was an average level tournament at best. You can call it Nationals “ or whatever you want it was nothing special and anyone who knows anything about girls lax knows this.

There are clubs that have brought in older "guest players", who are technically of age, to play at the US Lacrosse Nationals in the past. YJ certainly did it in 2017. The YJ parents on the 2021 team will even admit it, if you ask them. All tournaments / clubs need to use the same age system. There also needs to be a stick check, and player ID card checks before each game.

You must be mistaken, you can't use guest players at Nationals it's against the rules. Roster Requirements for US Lacrosse Nationals Eligibility Rules - U.S. Teams 2. All players must compete with their team or club on a regular basis. Minimum requirements are that players must compete with their team/program for at least two tournaments in the preceding 12 months leading up to US Lacrosse Nationals, or in a seasonal league. 9. Any team in violation of the above roster rules will forfeit all games in which the ineligible player has participated and any title received by the team.

You can have guest players if they are part of your club. Not necessarily your team. Also believe that they allowed 5 kids per team that did not meet age requirement this year.

They also have players play up at Nationals. If a girl that plays on 2022 team but has a November birthday she can play on the 2023 team as long as she is a member of that club and played with her 22 team in the appropriate tournaments.

You're missing the point. The age requirements are different for the US Lacrosse tournament. That allows teams to bring in players, due to their actual birth day, from the older age group to play in a younger age group. US lacrosse is not about players from the same birth year. YJ did it last year with their 2021 team. They brought in a all star player from their 2020 team, that met the age window, to play with them. Other clubs do it too.

They did compete with their club, during that summer, but just on a different team. Until the players services were needed on the other team at Nationals. It was done. YJ is not the only guilty party. Other teams do it as well.
Not until US Lacrosse requires formal roster lists for the season, and issues official picture ID cards, to be checked before their games, this will continue.
