Chan has no Laxachussets, no Geese and no Blast during pool play at their Tournament this weekend. they have the Ducks.
After the Hawks beat down, he set his team right up for the finals! Playing these birds is Ducking. It is his tournament, so he can do what he wants, but if you are the best then play the best. Dont be an stunad. There are 3 pools. Chan is in one. 91 in another. And Geese in another. Why? Because they are considered the top 3 LI teams to beat. So you deserve to be in championship if you rank better than the one you have in your pool. Otherwise the championship will come down to those 3 and the next top seeded team from the pools. Assuming Blast doesn't choke again on Laxachussets, theyre matched up with Express for the semi-finals. Blastards will be home before the ice starts to melt in their coolers.

I agree with you, that's why I said teams "picked" Just find the right spot. Meaning a coach that is not absent. Start with a 2nd team where the A team is very good. 91 didn't even field a B team this year because the experience was so bad I heard. 2025 O'Reilly or Blue Devils are good choices. Kids for the last two seasons have been selected to move up.

Not anymore. 91 cried because they know they cant win against Express and got the bracket changed. And they know they list to Laxachussets in their last tournanemt in semifinals too, so they cried until they got matched against 91 Maryland. Tournament organizers should be ashamed of changing the bracket like that. Laxachusetts has as much of a right to try and maje it to a final championship gane against express. They absolutely should be filing a complaint.

Congrats to the 91 team. Great win! From an Express parent. The bottom 15 on the Express team could have probably won the other bracket.

Express Chan and 91 are the 2 best teams. The brackets should not be set up so that they would meet in the semifinals. That would make the finals kind of anticlimactic wouldn’t you say? Maybe you should be running your own tournaments if you are so clever. 🙃

And Express lost their championship last week to Hawks. Both of you should get off your high horse. There is lots of competitive teams out there. By next tournament the tide will have changed.

Laxachusetts beat 91 when their 1st string goalie was away with her family. They didn’t beat them this weekend. These are such hard working kids. They got a good result today because of that. No high horses involved.

I agree that it was not the starting goalies dad who made that statement. He would not throw shade anyones direction. But someone from 91 made that comment. And it defenitely is saying that the second goalie is the reason 91 lost to Laxachusetts. Which is really crummy to say about someone on your team. So whomever said it doesnt belong on the team, because thats a horrible thing to say. Especially since the second goalie is equalie as good, and has come really far this season. Whomever said it is not taking ownership for the loss. It was not the goalie at all. If anything it was the second goalie who kept Laxachusetts from running up the score in that game. And if not for the goalie 91 would have lost games leading up to that game. Whomever said that should be completely ashamed of themselves.

What excuses will you come up with as the prodigy you are raising starts falling short of your overwhelming expectations. It’s starting now, getting overpowered by more and more shots that are just too hard and fast.

Truth is both goalies have their strengths and weaknesses, just like any player at this age. These kids are 11 yo, they play because they love the game. The parents on this blog are the only ones with issues. 91 and express are both great teams, packed with kids that are talented. When they play each other it’s always a great game. They make each other better, and isn’t that what this is all about? Kids competing at a high level and challenging themselves and each other to be better.

They played us, they obviously aren't getting the coaching - O'Reilly wasn't even on the sidelines, they have very small middies that get knocked around, the passing is horrendous, zero lacrosse IQ (not taught), The clearing was horrendous - middies just stood around and ended up having D taking the ball up. For the $3k - $3.5k they pay they getting zero value.

At most 6 or maybe 7 middies play if you include the LSM and the 1st line gets 70% of the run. Bonus Answer: 4 attack will play and 4 D, any further down the bench than that then your coach is generous.

As a parent on the O’Rielly B team I have to agree we are not getting any of the coaching that is so desperately needed. O’Reillys greatest strengths as a coach was always developing a strong offense and that is all gone. He always played the kids fairly, but now there are twenty minute blocks that keep the same kids playing who aren’t able to accomplish any actual plays. O’Reillys team is thankful to have coach Matt whose focus is defense and with his guidance O’Reilly finally has a strong defense line. It’s really sad what has happened to the team. But there isn’t a lot of commitment with this years line of offense. Too many other sports and other events to take practice seriously enough to make a difference. And you have to keep the lines strong. If kids can’t catch and throw and now the basic fundamentals that should and usually are required to be on a B team then it’s just going to keep falling apart.

What I watched the Middies had no interest in getting the attack involved. Whole quarters where the attack didn't get passed the ball. That's unacceptable on any winning team. If the commitment isn't there then the kids shouldn't see much field time. If they don't come to practice, then no playing time. Cannot develop as a team if kids miss practice.
