Solid weekend of lax, despite the rain. Top 4 teams were 91MD (champ), Taz (finalist) BLC and MadLax (semi finalist).

Embarrassing showing by LI at fantastic 12 Why? Because we couldn't get our 14 year olds to come down and play this weekend?

Long Island did fine. Every team playing had a few big kids, give it a rest. The 91MD team has been together since the 3rd grade and basically work together year around. No one said anything about size of kids when your teams were winning. Good weekend, great lacrosse.

In general, Fantastic 12 was a great event with very little measurable difference between the top 8 teams. There was a bit of a drop between 9-12, but the top 4 teams in HoCo (91MD, Mad Lax, Hawks and BLC) all showed well along with the 3 top LI teams (91WP, Legacy, Express) and Brotherly Love from Philly. Not sure if there is another team better than those 8 out there.
Good youth lacrosse all weekend, and plenty of future stars on the field for all of those teams.

If we had all of our gys, madlax 24 wins easily. and we have no holdbacks. funny how LI dads cry and make up crap whenever they lose.

That's MADLESS excuses. NO one cares about Madlax. Just know it was Tournament full of great competition. HATS off to the winner 91 MD team and the runners up Legacy Taz. Was a lot of great lacrosse players, and teams . The way it should be.

Good youth lacrosse all weekend, and plenty of future stars on the field for all of those teams. Agreed. And Taz played great, with a gritty win over WP and a nice run to the final game. Any one of the teams above could have won, as there were a lot of very close games. Would have liked WP to go deeper but poor goal differential from a tough bracket gave them Legacy in the first round of the championship bracket. Tough luck for a talented squad.

MD does not participate in WSL. Long Island is the only area that think it's worth the cost. Did 91 MD bring in the guest players from TX and NC?

My son plays on a B team and wins a lot of Championships. Why doesn't the coach move and play in an A division for just one tourney? Is it his ego? Does he need another T-Shirt. The A team in our club plays in all the A tournaments. They don't ever win the championships but they compete against better competition. As a former player I know that is the only way to improve. I don't have any visions of grandeur my son belongs on the B-Team but I hear him an his teammates talk about how they are better than the A-Team because the A Team never wins the championship. Then I have to knock him down a peg but am I wrong for doing that?
