Is Brotherly Love falling apart? Rumor has it that one of the two founders has walked away from Brotherly Love due to issues on the 2024 team. I also heard they lost one of their best Mid’s and fogo. Very interesting.

But definitely good $ move. Did they merge of did the Head of Elevated just move on Elevated taking over RS No RS hired DD away from West Chester and will not direct their programming. Adding coaches to their existing staff. More of this needs to happen for philly teams to stay competitive.

that is true. they spent the entire season chasing players from other teams. they did get a bunch of middies from Roughriders. the one founder left because he did not agree with the philosophy and the vision of only trying to make the WSYL next year. No individual training, one coach at most of the practices last year, a silly initiative into the "national' stage with essentially the same players as their AA team (ie, "money grab"). At least 4 players left the team, couple middies, LSM, FOGO because the organization has become a joke! Founder insulted the entire 2024 team by stating that he now has bigger and faster players to take them to the next level. Winning is the only thing this organization of 12 year olds cares about. they only won one tournament this summer and that was because the team they faced in the finals had a significant injuries including their goalie and had to play with their third string goalie. This will end up like Dukes Nationals.

Lets talk about Tom Slate. Unbelievable this guy has any following or is allowed to coach youth lacrosse. Heard he jumped from RS to Mesa and is trying to take as many players as are crazy enough to follow him. Mesa I thought was a well run organization, we will see... Pretty sure TS is on his 5th cor 6th club with his 8th grade son. This guy is the definition of toxic. All he does is blow up programs and teams... he coached professionally though right? But does anyone remember that every team he coached folded directly after he coached there? A few years ago running a Dukes program he collected money for registrations and tournaments then did not put his teams in the tournament. Basically stealing money from youth lacrosse players. You seen this dude, he looks like he blew a line on the way to the field. But at least he is a full time youth / HS lacrosse coach driving a Range Rover.

You forgot to mention that he provided ALL adult sized uniforms for Duke's South as well. It was pretty sweet when the 9 year old kids got handed AXL shorts and jerseys.

Believe Slate coached a high school team to state championship. Coached a professional team. EA tied HS for fewest goals allowed in inter ac and he is D coordinator. I'm sure you could do better though. Keep trying

Yep , its all about winning. Don't worry about the integrity he is teaching your kids. The guy has stolen from parents, single handedly brought the demise to a youth program, cheated in youth sports, fired as a high school coach. He is a real star.

This will end up like Dukes Nationals. Just read this post and agree with some but not all of the statements made. My son was a starting MF on the 2024 Hercules team for the past 4 years until we decided to play with a team from LI. We are located in Northern PA not Philly. The two founders are stand up guys and it is certainly not a money grab. Although I believe they truly care about these boys and parents they dropped the ball with this team over the past two years. They should have handed these boys off to “Professional” coaches several years ago and the lack of coaching and fundamental training is the reason they have struggled beating the BBL’s and NXT’s. I believe they are trying to address that with the coaches from the Academy Team. A lot of talent on that team! I know my son loved playing with those boys and the parents were great but to many broken promises in regards to coaches and training. You can’t just roll a ball out on game day and expect the boys to compete with the best teams in the country! I leave you with this ISO......ISO......ISO. My BLove family will know what it means. Hopefully see you at the WSYL.

What happened with the US Lacrosse Nationals? I see the girls played but no sign of the boys. Heard various unsubstantiated rumors that nobody wanted to go, the teams didn't quality due to over age double holdback pre-first reclass kids, and that US Lacrosse screwed up the points calculations so they really didn't know who qualified and thus killed it.
anyone in the know?

Once they have the kids they can get rid of him at any point.

Yes, might as well rebrand as the fading sons. Program in disarray. MSI partnershipn and recent mergers are lipstick on a pig. Get out while you can.

Because one team that gets poached and will struggle defines them? Pretty sure all 3 of their HS teams are legit and during our tryout there were a ton of kids on the other field for younger tryouts.

[quote=Anonymous]Are Sons 2023 folding? Plenty of kids at tryouts. Why would they be folding? Tons of kids left for other clubs, they will have a team, but a B team at best. What about '25 Sons? Should be strong[/quote This is the first time they tried to field a 2025 team. They folded up their 2024 team a few years ago, burning many bridges at this level, only to barely piece together a reconstituted 2024 team this past year. Track record not so good. Maybe Elevated will bring players to these younger teams, but be careful about paying money upfront before you absolutely know they have an actual team in place at the skill level you’re looking for. These won’t be AA teams, and probably not A teams. Good luck!
