Teams do get byes, they do not necessarily play every week, and usually play two games in weeks they do play.

BOTC has requested these schedules to be sent to us for three years running and we have yet to get any type of response to these types of requests. BOTC has not been able to cultivate a relationship with Nassau PAL which is through no lack of effort on our part.

Each town director gets the entire schedule. I am sure there is more than one director on this site.....Unless the Grand Poobah of PAL Lacrosse has forbid them from sharing it....and I wouldn't be surprised if he did!

Club Directors just submitted their schedules on thursday. PAL schedule should be out 10-14 days after. Season starts April 7th.

You may want to call your coach. Schedules were released.

Did you get your schedule? Do you know if Suffolk promotes balance teams or teams with players of "Similar" talent?

What towns always provide a good game with talented players? What towns now have 6th graders who played up last year playing 6th grade again?

Smithtown or Three Village do you split teams by ability andor do you play Nassua with an "A" team and Suffolk with "B" team?

Three village are your travel players allowed to play PAL this year?

Team LI beat fl$ 8-3. I check the OBLL website and nothing gets updated. What is the deal? The least they could do is post a schedule online. Even if it is on a Thursday before the weekend.

that is true, of course fl$ 2018 was missing most of their defense and several of their middies and attacks.

Oyster Bay is a glorified scrimmage, it is great for the kids to be outside playing. Teams and coaches and refs that we have been involved with are understanding - nobody runs up the score to be rude, ALL teams will be missing players due to conflicts due to the late schedule announcements - I am sure it is not done on purpose, it is the way it is - take it for what it is - it is a Spring league for travel opportunities...relax....have fun watching the kids play, or have fun coaching them, standings are not kept - and scores are barely kept in my experience

Curious to know what's going on at the merchant marine league at kings point, if anything? What teams are playing? fl$? True Blue? LIE 2017 Terps (regular and black)? Team 91 Orange? Are these teams playing anywhere?

Are any out of town/state teams expected to play in the OBLL? Who will get to play them, if at all?

If scores are not run up to be rude, why did my 4th son lose last week 19-0. The other team could have used the 3 pass rule, but didnt. It is disheartening for the whole losing team. The other team was rude and laughed at our boys. They were rude:(

One of the reasons for the schedules to be released weekly is to actually avoid these types of lopsided matched. BOTC would strongly urge your coach to contact Mike Chanenchuk to make sure that this scheduling problem does not impact your team members for a second week.

Maybe MC had a team play up and the other one down...Accidentally.maybe a 5th vs 3rd
19-0 clearly is a mismatch and piling on is a d--k move

My sons team has been up significantly each game they have played. It isnt fun for the winning team either.

Hopefully after another week they have enough info to rank /place teams fairly.

I think we would all agree piling it on a 4th grade team is unacceptable and things should be done to avoid that (3 pass rule, lots of subs, etc). However, even if a coach does those things, a superior team can keep scoring and preventing the other team from scoring. And no one wants to tell his kids they can't play lacrosse and try and score. It's not fair to the kids on the superior team who want to play and I think it can be even more demorilizing for the losing team if it looks like the other team is just toying with them by passing the ball around. It's a hard issue. Part of the problem is all of these elite club teams who have few equally good teams to play against (especially at the 3rd and 4th grade levels) so they end up crusing inferior teams.

For sure fl$ and Outlaws Black are playing. Usually teams from CT and NJ as well as the Crabs come up from MD to play at least one weekend.

Agreed. Unfortunatley it continues past 3rd and 4th grade. The post about a team winning "significantly" was not talking about a 3rd or 4th grade team. Even at the older ages some of the clubs 2nd teams are as strong as another clubs only/A team and other clubs 1st/only team are only as strong as a B team. That is okay, as long as their directors make sure they play where they can get better.

I hope within a week or two it works itself out. Last week Shamrock impact players playing this week we have school breaks. Like G'n'R says just a little patience, yeahhhhh.

Enjoy the cold it is sunny in LarryMiller.

As far as the 19-0 game, the winning team has 17 players. 10 different players scored in the game. 90% of the goals were assisted. There was no mocking or celebrating after goals. Town of Oyster Bay does not impose the 3 pass rule and they continue to face off after every goal. Not sure there was much the coach could have done. Demoralizing children is never the goal. I have been on both sides of lopsided games.

The Oyster Bay League adjusts the schedules to match up teams with the same ability.

How can they do that if there are only 4 or 5 teams total in a specific age group? Wait a couple more weeks, and teams will start realizing that they are playing against the same team for the 3rd time.

I am quite sure you will not play a team you beat or lost to convincingly, but you may play a team you beat or beat you.

It's great to play the same team 3 or 4 times in a 10 game schedule isn't it?

I watched the organization your son plays for run the score up in tournament after tournament against town and travel teams last year...but that's ok right? Funny how it's ok until it happens to you.
