What happen to ESM this weekend? TOP GUNS ! How did that happen. WB over ESM. Anyone there ? Old fashion lacrosse - get a lead and stall, stall, stall - HS needs to get shot clock, most games are incredibly painful to watch without it and this was certainly one New assistant coach at West Bab, that is his style.

Not much stalling going on. ESM had a terrible game. Where oh where were the superstars that came up and won states as 8th graders. I guess ESM really misses the class of 2017. They were the real statrs ESM super star got face guarded by West Babs best player and got Shut down. 0 points.

Maybe Wantagh will return to a Baseball/Softball town. (Always has been a baseball town for boys.)
In the past few years they have won county championships in girls lax, state champs in baseball and wrestling, and LI champs in football. Agreed...I doubt the folks in Wantagh are worried, they win a lot of championships. 1 county championship, that's it, and got blown out by ESM in LI championship;.

Again, Wantagh wins a lot of championships in numerous sports.

He was let go because he isn't a certified coach for high school. You know they actually need to be certified and only thing he is certified at is being an stunad like half of the parents out there and probably every parent on this site who attacks high school children because of jealousy

Nice to see Sinai has caught the unsportsmanlike bug, sorry but a true AA does not need to put up ball hog numbers in a blowout. I could be wrong but dont remember them doing this nonsense in the past. Hey AA maybe get your head up and make a pass.

Well certainly not this year, CSH win looks like a real fluke when you see them lose 11-2 to pequa and pequa's best player didn't even play in the game

They have one their league for 10 consecutive seasons. I’d say they are doing Ok. Word is they embarrassed themselves in DC over the break, lost by double digits and the game wasn't as close as the score - when was the last time that happened? Glory days are indeed over

That game must have been over in the first 10 minutes. Then you have East Islip duo putting up 7 points a game against dreadful competition. Both Babylon and EI should get some other kids involved in blowout games. Coaches and parents should be embarrassed.

Does anyone know if St Ants has played a game yet?? Nothing has been reported anywhere. If not, that's a strange start for them. They would have usually played some pretty decent competition by now.

Padding assists in these ridiculously bad games is almost as bad as goals. Kids do it to run their "points" up. Most of those same kids have zero ground balls, barely ride in transition and never battle on the draw circle.

There have been games where he’s put down an assist for every goal.

So if a player has 10 goals but all against an "easy" team but another player has 8 against harder teams does that come into consideration?

The girls who dominate the play of the game are not always the ones putting up big numbers, especially in those blowout games. I can tell you right now the very worst girls on my daughters team are very capable of scoring 5-6 goals in those blowout games, and sadly often do. Most of the really good players would be embarrassed to do so and self regulate their own goal scoring. Why self regulate? Because the parents raised them correctly and they know better even when the coach doesn’t stop that crap. Stats in HS are a complete joke, go watch the tough games and you will Spot the 3-4 kids on the field who will earn All County even before a single goal is scored.

Preseason?? You mean regular scheduled non-league games. They lost by 10 in DC, blew out a North Carolina team Beat Long Beach by 6, that is not a double digit win, rather they doubled them up 11-5

Your concept of spotting the all county players is ill informed at best , all county selections are purely based on how your team finishes and who your coach selects .

Hey Suzie, your team is playing a really bad team tomorrow, you should be able to beat them 20-2. It’s a great opportunity to go score 10 goals. Yeah, that’s great. And yes this is exactly what you see.

My kid is a defensive middie who makes a lot of great plays. Stick checks, ground balls, interceptions. Not a lot of goal scoring. That's ok. She knows that she is working hard doing her job and getting the ball to the attack. Wish Newsday would report on things besides goals.

Very true - many of the girls who are considered the best players in the county by coaches - the ones that impact the games in many ways will put up solid "points" but will not be high on the leader board.. They are also playing in tougher games based on their team's ranking and schedule.
