Referee called game vs Igloo with 40 seconds left after a 91md cracked a kid twice. Millon acted like he had a plan to comeback from a 4 goal deficit with under a minute to play. Such a child. ref was right. vicious slashes

fl$ @ NXT best dressed coach of the tournament. Million worst behaved; again. I am curious why FLGEE isn't able to compete with top teams any longer. They seem well organized, well run and have a national recruiting program.

US Lacrosse has modified their age guidelines and entered into a partnership with NXT ( https://www.uslacrosse.org/blog/us-lacrosse-nxt-partnership-bigger-than-one-event). It is not fair to be critical of them, they are trying. TWO years ago they changed it up. ( https://www.uslacrosse.org/blog/us-lacrosse-adopts-new-player-segmentation-policy). Don't blame them. On Long Island it's the clubs and PAL that have the power to change this. PAL, won't do it for some reason. You would think a primary tenet of PAL would be a level playing field and player safety. Does anybody know if the board even has a position on this? A former PAL board member tried to go age and was ousted. PAL is becoming more and more irrelevant anyway, as towns just are just building and shifting to club town programs. And clubs... Why disrupt the business your model, that I understand at least. Suffolk communities may one to town club, but not Nassau - for the most part, town clubs are are relegated to the larger districts. Boys play PAL & club.

Don't blame USL?? You either are or you're not the effective governing body for the youth sport. USL has the trump card to move past this issue IF THEY WANT TO - they obviously chose not to. That equals weak/ineffectivess. Instead, they chose to slow walk it, and even then, there is no formal plan that effectively transitions from grade- to age-based for all by a specific date. You could let them slide if they were the first to go through this issue, but the fact remains that they are last in a long line of youth sports to address this and have all of thwt history to draw upon to do it expediently and right. That, in a nutshell, is why the blame lays with them. And, lastly, the business model argument rings hollow. Growing the sport - attracting more athletes, keeping more of the ones you have - leads to an associated business growth model as well. It may mean that some of the business players change with new entries to the market - loss of share and/or power - but there would be more money to be made for all IF you run your business right. Again, USL is letting the tail wag the dog - that is NOT an character indicative of an effective governing organization.

If no individual entity is going to do it on their own - whether they should or not is a separate discussion, but, to date, all if not most have not - then it is on the USL to move this forward. All of these league's require USL registration, IE, insurance, to participate. USL could make their policy(ies) via their carrier(s) only effective for age-based play and everyone would be forced to go that route. They could go off on their own and use other insurance acquired on their own, but they would be effectively jettisoning everything else related to USL as well.

USL is an insurance company that has a big heart for lacrosse. They need revenue- and lots of it. They force insurance on the lacrosse community to substantiate their operations with very little in return for their customers. Their "governance" is focused on expanding the sport into new markets (read sell more insurance) and NOT on shaping policy. The sports most influential markets, Long Island and Baltimore, are relatively ignored by the organization. They are a Maryland insurance company, partnered with a Pennsylvania tournament operator, attempting to copy the got-soccer model of rankings and sanctioning, while simultaneously suggesting that the very clubs they need for their tournaments and rankings are out-of-control and detrimental to the sport. They want to control the sport yet fail to listen to the market place. If we weren't forced to buy their insurance, would they have any significance?

When you reach the point of thinking you should have joined the crowd of gaming the system, you have either surrendered your values or you never had them to begin with. Values are the difference between doing what is right versus wrong because of your belief systems as opposed to doing what is right only due to the fear of being caught when doing wrong.

It was just last year that the 2022 Igloo team had a handful of players who committed to the team and whose parents paid for the year but sadly the boys were turned away from the world series because 2021 Igloo outsiders replaced them

Fact-express did not get out of the first round at millon. You can call it quarter finals. Still first round. And they beat igloo with players from all over the country. Midwest, south, north. Everywhere. No pounding of chest. Just stating facts that igloo is the best Long Island team. Didn't have to go recruit from all over just to beat igloo. Like express did. Won't put the LI in front of express since they are a national team now. Maybe they will be able to compete with dukes now and not be emabarrassed again like the last time.

How did igloo do at the World Series again? I missed that. Express has won more tourneys than any other 2022 team in the last two years. Including the original elite 8. Maybe more than any other NY team but not every 2022 team. (Annapolis)

That's because they don't let igloo in any of their tournaments. How many times can you play prime time?

Fall Jam Express 9-4 pool play and 8-7 ship (and wasn't that close) over Igloo. Was that the last time these two teams faced?

But their team is made up of players from 5 different states. Ask anyone on the team. Igloo is all Long Island. And yes congrats on winning that tournament. But a few weeks later they didn't get out of the first round of the millon national championship. All that is being said is they are not an all Long Island team. Either is 91 Igloo showed up to Millon National Championship with one goalie and when the kid suffered a horrendous injury, they added to their roster. That kid may have been from LI, but he wasn't on that Igloo team. At least it came back to bite Millon in the butt for not enforcing his roster rule that he was so adamant about.

From LIE: those were special circumstances and thank God that the boy is recovering. Everyone wishes him good health

WOW you're a special kind of crazy. This should not even be a statement that this kid got hurt. They did not pull a goalie and replace him with someone not on the roster. You really wanted to penalize that team because a kid got hurt and the tournament director did what was right. I guess you wanted them to pack up and head back home because that was really the right thing to do?
