I doubt Petros kids will be there and who cares if they are, express beat them at the NCAA futures tourney. And dukes had all the ringers They'll be there. Again. Not sure how on age 2022 kids that have played for the team multiple times are ringers. Two tourneys is barely multiple times. Non-ringers have to buy the helmets. 2 is actually the actual definition of multiple. multiple = more than 1

Best bang for your buck laughable! Will never get into the good recruiting tournaments. They know nobody and will just be a c level travel organization and that's it.

Hate to break it to everyone...Your kid isn't getting a scholarship. My kid isn't getting a scholarship. 13% of HS players will go on to play college lax, at any level. Less than three percent will play "D-1." Let the kids play because they love the sport. Let them play other things. Invest the money you'd spend on one of these high priced clubs into SAT Prep. Get your kid on the wall, show him to squat, deadlift, and power clean, make him run, if you want him better at lacrosse.

My son only played in 2 tournaments this summer also with them. There were only 3 that Dukes played in. There aren't any minicamps after April. Buy the helmets? What are you talking about? No one buys their own helmet. So the 70% of the Nationals team with Dukes helmets are also on Dukes young Guns? Doubtful.

LI Express vs Dukes on Sunday morning. Should be a fun scrimmage. So they will definitely be there because they have to be there for tryouts anyway or they don't make the team. You obviously have no idea how Dukes works and are making yourself look silly. Dukes is not a team, it is a program. There are more kids on the roster than those that play in games and tournaments. The "tryouts' occur every month from August to May. Kids are free to come to the monthly tryout and be added to the team if they are good enough. It's not realistic for all the kids to make it each month. This doesn't mean you aren't on the team anymore. Many of the kids from last years roster have already been invited back, not just the koopers kids. But every "tryout" you miss moves you farther down the depth chart - right? Getting moved down the depth chart and getting moved below the travel line are two different things. Obviously showing up at a tryout helps, but they aren't going to move their best kids below the travel line. That would be silly. Especially when keeping up the perception that the more clinics you do with Dukes improves your chances of moving above the travel line.

Again, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about in terms of how the program works. Either that or your son was gradually moved off the depth chart as better kids started to come out and you are salty about it. It's a national all star team that constantly looks for new players. That's what was explained to people when they sign up for the very small fee to join the depth chart which includes your helmet, uniforms, etc. My son doesn't wear his Dukes helmet all the time because of two things. First is it's a Warrior Evo helmet which most kids don't like. The second is that it's black and the kids call them lava buckets because they get so hot in the summer. Not sure why the hate on this team. Obviously they are very good as was shown in their game against the Hawks. What everyone isn't realizing is that teams like this are the next evolution in youth lacrosse. Club lacrosse started as a way for kids to play with other talented kids. Now everyone plays club so there is going to be another delineation created to separate the top players.

You are crazy if you think National teams are the wave of the future. The whole Dukes National program is laughable. Ask yourself, why isn't there a Dukes National HS team? When the answer smacks you in the face, you will realize you could have spent a lot more time with your son away from the lacrosse field.

Dukes is a joke. Doesn't practice, counts on taking well trained players from quality clubs and pretends that they are doing something special. The only thing they do well is sign up the right kids and convince them to skip their club teams games a few times a year.

Can somebody give some feedback on some teams. Practice, coaching commitment, coaching ability. Please share real experience both pros and cons. I think the norm is a team that plays 2- 3 fall tourneys, trains and practices all winter. Spring off for school ball. 4 -6 summer tourneys. And practice 2 times a week once school ball ends. And does the coach answer emails and really wants the team to succeed over it being a side gig coaching.

It's great that your son has the ability, and you have the means to provide him with the experience of one of these top tier clubs, so you can disparage other clubs out there. You should be very proud of him and yourself. To that end, Viper, a non profit organization, which has donated its proceeds to countless charities, and keeps its cost reasonable for its players, probably isn't for you.

Trying to figure this one out as well. Seems like they are trying for four teams: Channy X 2, Schwalje & O'Reilly. Anyone have any insight on the pecking order here?

I think you have the pecking order correct in your post....c4
Channy's teams would be 2022 Channy (denver team), 2022 Chuck (So called hybrid team)

No Channy Jr team.....
I think they are keeping it a bit murky for the reason of player retention.
Would be nice if it was crystal clear.

A Birdie said that they opted to even the talent between Chuck and Schwalje because they were talent heavy in some positions. Several players were good enough for Chuck but it would be better to have them on Schwalje. This will prevent lack of playing time, by far the biggest complaint.
Will their really be enough kids for 4 teams?
