I think it was more like “oh great, give it to the 9th grader”. Is that phrase really worth relitigating six months later?
Again, I was there. So were two officials who never flagged anyone on the sidelines and presumably heard everything more clearly than any parent or Zapruder video camera operator from across the other side of the field.

I am a Madlax parent that was at the game. It is all in the past. No hard feelings. We have dropped it, and everyone else should too. It was a hard fought game and emotions were running high. It is what passionate coaches do. Madlax's 2024 team has played T91MD several times since, and MM and the rest of his coaching staff were class acts. (Although MM should tell his right close defender that it is not a good idea to yell things at the stands.)

2023 finally played a legitimate AA team that had all their players and lost 13-1 against the Hawks. On a positive note they beat South River; a decent A team, 8-7. Guess the Texas boys couldn’t make it this weekend.

RR's base is public school kids who couldn't make top clubs and parents who can't afford to send them to top private schools. Public school trash kids and families.

91 md holds itself out as an AA team, which lost every game in hoco, but takes pride in a goal victory over a hoco A team. Website material for sure!

Funny. Didn't you catch the recent articles about the precious private schools you pay for?!? Elitist hotbeds which you are demonstrating so effectively with yoûr comment. RRs base is Howard County public school kids, one of the best school districts in the country and one of the wealthiest per capita. People do not HAVE to send their kids to private in that county as they are already in an excellent academic district.

Probably same guy who likes to come on here and trash the club and MM regularly when he is bored or unhappy with his own situation. Not worth engaging with as he clearly has that as a single goal. Each family will go to whatever club they are most comfortable with for their own reasons and this guy does not get that or perhaps he has not yet found a home and wants to make everyone else miserable with his garbage. No reason to leave excellent schools for the sake of a sport and pay tuition or put your kid in a carpool for two hours a day. Playing for your community school has a lot of value to many kids and their families-tangible and intangible. Not everyone feels the need to pay money for a lax education or want the homogenous nature of the Baltimore privates. Those with talent will get found assuming they want to play in college and here is a news flash..not everyone wants to play in college but actually just enjoy the game. RR has had some pretty significant players on their teams. Your broad base brushing of things to support your own agenda gets old - to each their own. There is no right or wrong.

2nd and 3rd tier club ? You clearly are bitter about something. All of there teams play right at the top of what division they are in and the 2022 team is easily top 5 if not 3 in the state. Maybe go back and lookout the record for Howard High School lacrosse over the past 10 years too. Won a state tilted 3 years ago and has been in the mix every year.

Bitter guy is clear about his disappointment in RR and his lack of knowledge about the club and their kids/families. Nothing anyone says is going to matter to him based on his or his sons experience with them. He will learn it does not really matter in the scheme of things but HIS attitude around the fields and other parents DOES matter. So many parents ruin the experience and the opportunities their son may have by thinking their kid is better than they are or by criticizing the better players on the team every chance they get. Every team has at least one. Moving on...

Towson had a lot of MD public school players, and they did pretty darn good!

2022 Roughriders has the best coaching around. Maybe 1 or 2 kids tops would make the Hawks who are supposedly the best team. The Hawks practice at least 30 times more and go year round. The Hawks have 10 Holdbacks compared to 1 for RoughRiders. Hawks always struggle against Roughriders.

As far as MM goes he does seem to focus the offense on his son to the detriment of the team. My son played against him at NLF down at IMG last year and the kid couldnt get to the net the entire game. My son is a good D Pole but not great and handled him easily. Saw a ton of better attack at the 22 level that week.

Totally disagree about your negative comments on the player. He is very talented, technically sound and has an extremely high lacrosse iq. A showcase is not the best format to properly evaluate any player, as it is pick-up games and heavily depends on team composition, player chemistry and usually comes down to selfish play. He is one of the best attacking players in the age group and consistently shows it in club play.

Comments about specific CHILDREN are not supposed to be on these forums. We are all sure your son is a fabulous D pole because you have told us he is but putting down another kid to make your own sound better has no place on these boards. As to your other comment, every good coach builds his offense around his best players or sometimes even one player. Most kids tend to do better with their team mates around them rather than at the individual events for many reason but one big one is the teams are not organized enough for real team play with everyone wanting to do their own thing. Every player on a team can not have the offense run through them. Problem is on most teams, parents can not get over their own children not being that "quarterback" to recognize that there is always going to be better players out there and plays tend to go through one or two of the best players that know the plays, have a good IQ, are proven and can close against both good and bad teams within the team environment.

Biggest Money Crab out there is this promotion by 91; this platform was utilized to train the 22 and 24 teams. MM was maybe at 2 or 3 practices the entire season.

Yep. 2023 is a joke. AA? These parents pay exhorbitant fees for the kids to lose every game in hoco but they can say the kids must be AA because they play in the AA division. Daddy coach. Weren’t good in A the year before either.

The bottom left hand picture on that flyer, clearly shows him teaching a 12 year old to cross-check down on the hip-bone of another player. He encourages players to do this sort of stuff off-ball when refs are not looking to "get in their opponents heads"! A picture worth 1000 words.... not limited to, but including "BREAK THEIR ARMS"! If you keep an eye on his 2022 "prized player" long enough, you will see him start to trash talk and do these things when a defender successfully shuts him down. Training the next generation of elite, whiny, lax things.

And their team fees don't include a surcharge for airline tickets! #elitetax
