Yeah N.VA youth lacrosse! great job growing the sport!

Waste of time for Madlax or VLC to play any of those teams. One of VLC's HS teams had to play Cavalier in the summer and won by 12 goals. Agree that Cav, Evergreen, Battlelax and TC should have a tournament just for themselves. They could call it the Mediocre Cup.

This post is 2023 not HS teams differ at each age. Cav's 2023 is close to Madlax maybe better, and way ahead of VLC who is new and made up of kids that left CAV, Madlax, 3d, and NL because they did not start for those teams. Evergreen is below NVYLL B teams at 2023

Madlax, 3d, VLC, and Club Blue will not be at either of these my guess is that Cav's wins one and Evergreen wins one parents are happy

Cavs may win Williamsburg (again). Their October tournament is against FCA "B" and similar teams. From what I can tell, Evergreen has never won a tournament in any age group, not sure why they would win one here.

Too bad we'll never know how good Cavs is because they refuse to play AA teams. October 22 is a good example. Cavs is registered for Brine Indian Summer in Jarrettsvile where they will play teams like FCA "B", EKLC, and Wolfpack. Yet, down the road on the same day at Blandair, the Md Lacrosse Tournament is being held with teams like Crabs, FCA "A", Annapolis Hawks, VLC, Next Level and more. Stop playing Nebraska's non-conference football schedule from the 70s and step up to the plate, Cavs. It would be fun to see and who knows, you might come up on top.

No. VLC did not pick up guys who were non-starters for other programs. My son plays for a different club than what you listed here, but I can't wait for Cavs 23 to get destroyed.

Evergreen 2023 is the bomb and would beat Cavs, VLC and Madlax. Best of NOVA, baby!

Who is Evergreen 2023 scrimmaging and where/when?

How about adding them to the undercard of the 2022 tilt between Madlax and Evergreen on October 1! Are advanced tickets available for that one? I believe stadium seating is limited.

Evergreen has nice grantstands. Too bad it's in the middle of nowhere and sitting there means you have to watch one of their crappy teams.

91md pretty much killed that club from 2020 on down.

The owner of Breakers hires Million and within two years MM steals most of Breakers to form team 89 +2. That will go down as a bad hire! LOL

Does MM move onto the next club looking to make a name for themselves, or show some commitment and stay true to 91.md

why do we play fall lacrosse? this is pretty silly- practices once a week for 6 weeks that are doing very little for the kids and a BS tournament or 2. it seriously seems that after one club does it, everyone does it. it is useless and a waste.

You are right about “if one team does it then the rest follow.” But I still think it’s better than doing nothing. Most kids 8th grade and below don’t train by themselves so those extra practices and then the tournaments are only helping the kids and it’s certainly not making them worse. Lacrosse is a year round sport now for those looking to play at the collegiate level. You may not see it now but watch players In high school who play year round and you’ll see a difference with their skill level and Lacrosse iq.

This is dumb. He's a program director so cares about all teams. He obviously spends more time with the teams he coaches. A number of the teams he does not coach are very good (esp 2025). Assume same is true for program directors at MLax, Crabs etc about the teams they don't coach with or without sons on the team.

So don’t do it. My sons teams practices twice a week now. Will have about 15 practices a few scrimmages and 2 tournaments before the winter when they will go to once a week until late March about 14 practices and 2 tournaments when they go back outside. Teams and kids that do that will absolutely be the superior teams come spring and summer.

MM should leave T91MD and coach Evergreen. Pinnacles of success merging as one.

They should be playing box not field in the fall and winter. The colleges are all moving that direction.

2023
Rock Lacrosse (MD)
True Lacrosse (IL)
VLC Blue Crabs (VA)
Madlax-Capital 2023 (Greater DC)
3d Mid-Atlantic (VA)
Bethesda LC Blue (MD)
Team 91 Maryland (MD)
Club Blue-MD (MD)
Club Blue-VA (VA)
This looks like a good pool for the MadLax event. At this point I would think Club Blue is the favorite.

Can a True team that pulls from 4-5 different states beat some 2nd tier VA and MD teams that pull kids from a 15 mile radius? Yes, it can happen. Feel good?

I would not but Club Blue and Bethesda Blue in the 2nd tier category. True has not played CB as they typically do not play later summer Tournaments but they are at the top in 2023 in MD
