It obvious which parents are gloating here. The parents of the only team that didn't show up for the biggest LI tournament of the year, the LI Lax Fest. It's easy for them to say they are the best, they won all those B championships last year and they weren't at the LI Lax Fest to see Express, 91 and Ducks all play each other more than once with every game having lead changes and every game being decided by 2 or less goals. What a great tournament it was and they missed it. Way to teach your kids to run from competition so they can hold up a $2 t-shirt. You guys win, all your boys are getting full scholarships and the rest of the 2025 boys will be losers the rest of their lives. What a bunch of big mouth parents living vicariously through their 10 year olds and hiding behind anonymous comments. Don't think for a second everyone doesn't know exactly who you are. Losers.

News FLASH!!! All those same parents that think their kids are the man and on the best team will find out very quickly that their kid isn't the man. Enjoy it while it last. Hurray, you're the 5th grade champion!!!

You guys are ridiculous. This is as good a showing as you will see. Blast will never play Geese (for obvious reasons) so you’ll never get all the A teams at a tourney together. Not a Ducks parent, but pretty sure they played Blast to a goal or two whenever they met last season, so that’s essentially a wash. 24 wants to play A teams so, win or lose, they’ll be happy. Plus, the B teams are playing each other and then seeing how they stack up against A teams. A lot can be taken from a loss. All in all, I think this is the best you can expect for a fall tourney. So I partly agree. There is a lot you can take from a loss. But nothing you can take from a loss of 12 goals. It shows there is no equal treatment for A teams vs B teams. This is the major problem with club lacrosse tournaments: there is no proper tiering system for teams, and thus no proper tournaments and/or divisions within to properly align teams. Almost every tourney is a [lacrosse] show to some degree, with teams getting blown out and/or blowing other teams out, sometimes both happening to a team within the same tourney. The grade-based aspect of lax, expecially outside of NY, compounds the problem. Hockey has this covered so much better, and lax should follow a lot of what they did (not all). And tournament directors should work the phones and trade favors to make their tournaments competitive from top to bottom or just classify it as an A or B level tourney, that way you know. Do they really think putting B teams vs the top teams in the age is okay? The kids go in defeated, such poor judgement in my opinion. Good news is that there is choice, live and learn. That's why directors like the guys at Blatant who work to balance out brackets (in fall and spring) know the value of having a competitive tourney for all levels. There are too many tournaments out there to spread out teams. When this happens, you're either going to have situations with unbalanced talent brackets or combined age brackets. Both lead to lopsided scores. And it will only continue to get worse in the Spring & Summer as Club Directors decided to create their own tournaments to keep more money in house. Seen the flyer for the True Blue tourney already? That'll be a sh*t show!! It's a charity tournament - are you seriously going to go there?? Please tell me you don't believe that the owners of True Blue are doing this solely to raise money for a charity. It say right on the flier a " portion" of the proceeds will go to charity. They saw an opportunity when the JDRF tournament ended to run a tournament which saves their club money. The only reason they are billing it as a charity event is to get the field space for free from the town ( true story). I'm not knocking the kids or the organization but that's the truth, do the math on how much money a club team can save by enrolling their own teams in a tournament that they run and you will see why more and more organizations are following suit.

How many tournaments will the nuts/laxin team play in this year? Your question is irrelevant. Let me explain. The Sweaty Nuts team plays only when Blast, Geese and Ducks are off. Since Geese and Blast will never play in the same tourney, that leaves very few available weekends. So, they will play in tournaments that are less desirable to the top team. This results in them playing in smaller tourneys against weaker teams, robbing those boys of opportunities for a tourney win. It’s a shame that those coaches need to put that team in those events. If you know the coaches, you know that they have an over-inflated opinion of their own boys. They are simply average. Daddy ball at its best. Just because their kids are not good enough to get minutes on their main teams, doesn’t mean they should pull the good players from those teams.

Organizers of the Columbus invitational should invite 2025 Igloo and 2025 True Blue. Both of those leagues have teams in most of the other age brackets at that tournament. They are already making plenty of money off those leagues. Therefore, it's reasonable to comp them the 2025 entrance fee. Plus since they have so many of there other teams there, they would probably go. Then the organizers can make an A division by adding Igloo and a B division by adding True Blue.

Hey, guess what genius, it is Daddy ball, that's exactly what it is! You might have noticed the guys on the sideline spend 0 time coaching and just get the kids out and let them loose. So all of the teams with so called real coaches should be ashamed of themselves. But ask Express if they were in a B Tournament when the 'Nuts spanked them last year. 'Ain't that a kick in the ..... Fella, that win was two summers ago. Express wasn’t the team they are now and they were missing kids 2 summers ago, my son being one of them. You [lacrosse] clowns should be thanking the real coaches for teaching the boys how to play the game. We know you guys never played. I saw one of you trying to warm up your son before a tournament. He couldn’t even throw! Please. If you don’t see that what you’re doing is disgraceful, then Just go away. No it wasn't, it was THIS summer. First of all, summer is over, meathead. That would make it last summer, except it wasn’t. It was two summers ago in Sweaty Nuts’ first season. Go away. Such a loser. If your head wasn't so far up your own [lacrosse] you would know that mixed nuts played express in 2017. your son was such a great addition he did nothing to help them out.

It is going to happen again! It's coming, we are steaing your shirts! These boys are lax pirates! And to show we don't need no stinking shirts, we are going to donate them to charity!
Maybe your jealous, bitter boy can get a donation. The shirts are usually pretty big, so if you say nice things to us we can get a shirt for you too!

They put a bunch of A kids in B tournaments. Not very impressive and pretty sleezy, but not surprising considering who puts them together.
Real questions here? Can someone please tell me what are the "A" tournaments and what are the "B" tournaments? Seems like most tournaments on long Island are B .only because there are so many and the competition level seems to be getting watered down with all the different so called travel clubs

Going forward. Mixed Nuts will never beat Express. All teams say they add, that team added 3 or 4 starters and they and the Geese will separate themselves from the rest of pack. Not saying that as a brag, just a fact.

Nice try, but you are going to have to ask Channy about the requirements he has made up for only his teams to con moron parents into having their kids play down.

Seems like most tournaments on long Island are B .only because there are so many and the competition level seems to be getting watered down with all the different so called travel clubs So you are basing it on the talent that enters the tournament. That only seems true for this 2025 age bracket. It seems all the "A" talent is on 3 teams, 91, express, and the geese. Mostly all other age brackets have better completion and have a lot more "A" teams. You cant call all tournaments "B" level tournaments just because one age bracket enters only weak talent. The only really "B" Level tournament are the Harding tournaments, they do call themselves the "Battle of the B's tournaments", all others are just tournaments. Since 91 is entering in Halloween Havoc on October 14th, does that mean its an "A" tournament??

Blatant and Octoberfest gets the best competition on the island in the fall. However, some teams are newly formed and like to use the fall to see where they measure out.

It was a disgrace with basically Express playing against Express. It was the worst run tournament ever. It was a total money grab. Soooo ... in no way did it get the best competition. LOL

Mayflower is ran by express directors, you get what you deserve doing that one. IMHO it sucks, better options out there.

What tournaments are good in your opinion? There are no such thing as a good fall tournament. Football season. Tournaments should be spring/summer only. Want a play day in the fall....go ahead
