Why don't they just have a real try out and let it play out without all this nonsense. Seriously...this just come on over and you can play on the top team is ridiculous knowing that this team was terrible
The 91 girls are already impacting the fall tourney rosters.
Thorns coaching ...anyone that's not thorns team will sit bench for tourneys. Waste of money and people's time Didn't she do that to half her own team this summer?

Half of 90+1 kids placed on blue will be a nightmare. CR can't possibly let that happen.

Thorns team is already selected. There will be "tryouts" but that team is already together .... just like last year. Girls don't tryout and just magicallly appear on team .. maybe if they just actually held a real tryout they would have a good team.

You took the bait. Posing as a TG parent to stir the pot. Green Hornets is TG heavy no its all TG girls. And if you want to bash Mt Sinai girls that's your business. The Daddy Coach isn't from Mt Sinai he's from 91. Jealousy will get you nowhere. [/quote
91 isn't a town. But several Mt. Sinai girls play for 91. Ya Tool
Ton of new YJ coaches whats the deal?? Kind of like Express on the boys side. They were the dominant team in all age groups for many years, then other clubs came along and started to squeeze them our. In particular Team 91, who took over at most age groups. YJ dominance will fade quickly because other clubs are stepping up and challenging them. Would be a great time for CR to get ou. While she's on top, for the most part. Things will be much different a couple years from now.

The days of dumping out the ball bag and showing up in your flip flops with your dunkin iced coffee was enough to win is over. Coaching has always been so so but now with less kids playing and more choices available the talent is diluted like never before. They need good coaches because of all the parity. Plus with numbers down you start to see more BS deals with coaches coming from other programs as long as they bring their kids.

It may become a level playing field some day, but it would have to continue with all the age groups younger than 2023. What does YJ look like at 2024, 2025, 2026? Still going to be a long time to become a level playing field, but change has to start somewhere, right now it starts with 23's.

Please cite the credentials of the so called best coaches years YJ 2018-2022 and then we can have a factual discussion/comparison. Remember....only the facts on BOTC

They do have a former T winner but she has not been a good coach . The Hofstra team was more successful than SB when she took over and now look . She has also never been able to do much w her TG teams when compared to YJ. The best I have seen her do st coaching is calling for stick checks , she is pretty good at it .

She was a good player, don't like her as a coach at all. And you are spot on to compare SBU vs Hofstra to see the vast difference a coach can make. That SBU win over Hofstra last year may have been the most thorough beat down ever in NCAA history. Hofstra didn't even know where the ball was they were so lost on the field.

And now I'm chiming in - different YJ Parent than above - My daughter has had all adult coaches throughout YJ career. Love them or not (which we pretty much liked them all), every one of them were committed adult coaches with varied experiences and years of coaching on their resume. YJ draws mostly good coaching resumes, CR can and is focused on a winning program, so Winning Coaches come forth and it's a good fit. Sometimes a coach hasn't met expectations, we can see that. But our experience is precisely this : Credentials - It's a good mix really - many High School long time career coaches, college coaching experience, youth/club/ms/hs/ college/professional playing experience, many Championship teams on all levels, Trained and certified Coaches, Coaches of multiple sports. All were Adults, with careers - they can manage adult roles running teams, managing people ie Educators, Professors, cops, fire fighters, business careers. In the end, their credentials also include the organized practices - set schedules, seasonal/year round marathon sessions of training on field - hours of intensive, organized work as a Team practicing. This produces skills, team play, IQ, desire to win. We have had some college aged assistant coaches/helpers to our teams, who while they may wear flip flops, they served a key role on our teams as an assistant (one of two assistants to the head coach ) - the girls relate, they have strong vision of the field of play, teach skills, they are committed to the role they took on. We have experienced one consistent thing - our coaches used their experience, took on the role with YJ, and they meet their commitment of time and teaching lax to kids using their extensive Credentials. Just like any good program.

There are more but if you try to deny that one its not even worth a conversation its worse than even discussing if SS is in the same league as Spallina as a college coach.

Well if it's Berts team she plays on then why can't you guys win any games? You guys don't see him at a tournament until late June anyway. And if you're on CR's team she coaches that team part time, and the rest of the time you have a dad coach who does have some basic knowledge and puts time in, but has taken that team as far as he can take it, now they are not improving or achieving anywhere near where they should be with the athletes they have. So throw those credentials right out the window. You are being sold exactly on that, their credentials and names, not what they are doing for you. Complacency breeds mediocrity. Didn't one or two of Bert's assistants quit this season mid-summer? Something's rotten in paradise.

Who is the dunce???? So are you saying that HS coaches have better credentials than college coaches. At least #241813 put forward a well thought out response that makes some sense and probably pertains to most club/travel coaches.

Tryouts will finally shut alot of you up No one took teams over to any one organization Some 91 players went to igloo, some elevate , empire some YJ and TG All players tryout and where they land A or B is based on their lacrosse ability. Stop being threatened with change and recognize that CR will only put players where they are able to compete at And the coaches credentials speak for themselves that goes for anyone coaching at the top club. Stop bashing and actually be positive I'm sure your kids hear all this too.. new season and give it a chance

Backlash must have been pretty severe for her to make all these coaching changes. If you go to the website it now says she is going to coach the coaches probably to have them more aligned and interchangeable. There are some great coaches and some poor ones, Seems like she is trying to level it out. Hope so
