It seems like no one can handle a loss, or win gracefully! None of you were on the fields; the BOYS (young boys) were, go coach your child to play the best they can in ANY situation! End of story!

All this, can and will be settled at the 2018 WSYL. Show up and let the boys settle it on the field. All the banter, back and forth means nothing until then. Good luck to all, until then, enjoy it, it goes way too fast.

So who organized these games? I just see it as Apples and Oranges when you have a organization that is pulling kids from various clubs together a few times a year to play together vs. a club team whose kids all come from a similar geography and put their club team first and foremost. Why didn't express play their A team? Why did Express B offer to play this game knowing that the Duke's team is what it is. (Very good players from multiple regions consisting of a 2023 team with kids that would be 2022 had their parents elected to not start them in school a year later for whatever reasons). I see neither club benefiting from this. Maybe Duke's should go play True which seems to be following their model. Maybe Team 91 should put together a team with their various regional clubs. For Express being able to play a good team in their backyard I guess is a no brainer...not sure what Duke's gets out of it. What was the final score? Sounds like it wasn't competitive? Because the Express 2023A coach probably respects that his kids want a break and a little summer when they can get it, and probably said "No thank you".

This was already settled on the field. The Express Hedstrom will NOT qualify for the WSYL, face the facts, they are a B team. A good B team, but they should never be on the field with the Dukes Nationals.

Let's all stop talking about this, really culprit is MC. He knows who the Dukes are and the type of teams that they have. Shame on him for putting under manned teams on to the field to get killed. I am sure he charged all the kids $25 for the thrill of being sacrificed.

What a nut. Let the WSYL dictate? You are high. Holdbacks and Daddy Ball. Let's go to Denver to see who the best team is? Save the money, Long Island.

The owner of Duke's Nationals (gonzo) is a long island native from Sachem. Gonzo and MC put the day together so they could have an additional opportunity to evaluate their players. Both teams had a bunch of top players missing due to family vacations. Fun event and not official. Equivalent to college fall ball.

Who was the last A team from Long Island that the Dukes played? What was the outcome? No LI team made the finals at NXT Cup. 91 Warriors lost in semis to a team DN beat. Last year played 91 Bandits and Igloo, lost to both by 1 goal. They have Improved a lot over the year and have beaten a bunch of MD AAs this year. They are a legit AA team, as good as anyone, and getting better. If you play them bring your best players or you will get buried.

WSYL is the only event where there are rules that have to be adhered too. It's the only way to level the playing field. Age appropriate lacrosse, with no holdbacks. The current rosters of ALL the top teams wouldn't qualify due to holdbacks.

I am sure he charged all the kids $25 for the thrill of being sacrificed. He didn't charge a cent. In fact, he threw in 2 extra tournaments this year at no charge. Tryouts had been scheduled for monday night. It was an exhibition game. I didn't care about the outcome. I just wanted my son to get a good run in and knock the cobwebs off so he went into tryouts without any rust. All of this nonsense is just BS between parents who never stepped on a field themselves

Dukes lost to the Bandits 6-5 at Dicks TOC in FL. Express Hedstrom should not be on the same field with them. Hedstrom is constructed to competitive in the B division. Not to compete with the top teams.

Looks like RECON lost there top Middie and Defender to another program. What program did they go to and why did they leave? Everyone seems to have good thing to say about them, expect they carry to many kids and need some better attackman. I guess if they fix that, they sound like the perfect team.

There are ZERO hold backs on 2023 Express Haugen, all of the boys are 11 & 12, can't speak for any other teams. Try again! There a few.

Not to compete with the top teams. Exactly the problem with the concept of the Dukes team. Dukes is trying entice the kids from all the AA teams to come on board. There is no incentive for these kids to leave their great LI team to travel, practice once a month and play for a team their club team could probably beat. Dukes says it is an adjunct to the regular local club teams, but most of the Dukes tournaments overlap with the Club team tournaments so that makes no sense. This whole team is a $ grab. Maybe good for kids in remote places that don't have access to competitive club teams, but it makes no sense for the players AA Long Island players they are looking for. Please take the Dukes show back to Phillie.

Please take the Dukes show back to Phillie. I play on a AA LI team and play for the Duke's Nationals. In my mind everything is a money grab if you make poor decisions. All I care about is getting my son the best training that will make him better. I care as much about my teams coaches as they care about my son. "If he stops producing they will drop him and move on, quickly!" So far the cost/benefit of the Duke's Nationals makes sense because my son is getting something that my regular club team cannot provide. Yes we win youth games but who truly cares about getting another t-shirt every week. As long as my son gets the training he needs to achieve his college lacrosse goals then I'm in.
