Club Lax has been broken forever and it isn't changing. The sport is run by the Club Directors and not US Lax. Even with the new recruiting changes notice how club directors still get to play the middle for your child thus continuing to make club relevant? As long as you are registered with US lax, that's all they want as a governing body. Rosters age rules are bent every weekend why do you think there are no player cards to show official DOB and team paperwork was submitted to? And more so on the boys side but Lax is the biggest holdback sport being played just to game the system. Parents are crazy its a sport that no one except us parents and our kids care about.

Altebrando was disqualified? What happened?
The tourney machine site shows all four games as 1-0 losses........

If that's the case CR owes some people an explanation, and possibly a refund.

Nope. Everyone who needs to know is fine, already knows the explanation and needs no refund. Congrats to all the 2018's, good luck in college!

You really must be a loser. It's really a simple issue , a team was registered to play , not enough kids from that team showed up . They had a choice , either forfeit those games or borrow kids from other teams so they had enough . If I were a team that had them scheduled I would rather play than get a forfeit . They were not going to win the tournament regardless and my understanding is several of the kids they borrowed were a few years younger .They are not the only team or club to have done this but because you are such a YJ wannabe you complain .

Seems to be the YJ norm. The two lower 2019 teams were split up for Summer Club Champ to accommodate short rosters. This is ok, but coach lied to his team when he told them at practice that he just found out, when in fact he knew weeks before about the roster change. This is the same guy who claims he is a coach, when in actuality, he is a DODO.

Thats unbelievable! Why so many kids on a roster? Aren't the summer games shortened? That's like 12 minutes per game for each kid with that many. The directors can't possibly know thats whats going on. It doesn't make any sense.

That, they are. CR could give a Rat's [lacrosse] about 90% of her players.

I refuse to believe that someone who is on the top of the girls lax community would knowingly put out such a bad product and poison the life blood of her business. your business is only as good as its enrolment

Hmm.... 4 teams per grade = 100 kids = 25 on A team = 10 (+goalie) that actually play. I'd say she gives a rat's *** about 10%!!!! The above post is correct.

Do the math the YJ's are at about 25 teams or 625 kids down from almost 850 a few years ago with is around minus 25% so people are catching on

They make almost $50k just at tryouts
They make another $500k in registration fees
Then they makes tons of cash double dipping with the tournaments they run and force YJ's to play
plus privates, clinics camps etc etc

There is a reason they jam 25-28 players on a team. For the CASH. The only club where the customer isn't always right and where people kiss a persons [lacrosse] that should be kissing theirs

You do realize you come across as a jackass. If your kid is playing YJ and you find it that bad then move on. If your kid is not playing YJ then what do you care. As far as the only club where the customer is not always right ,have you met DK, DG, BS, some of the biggest egos out there. You seem desperate to convince yourself that you made the right choice having your kid play on a B level club.

CR is Queen Bee of robbery. She could give two craps about the majority of her players. FACT! Although all clubs charge for extras, she sells a dream which only about 10% are capable of achieving. And those girls would have achieved the same no matter what club they played for. Mine was one of them.

Yes they are the only A level club left on LI .Is what it is.

Only club left implies there were other A levels on LI at one time, which is not the case. Other clubs had a team or two that showed well in an age group, over the years, that would be considered among the top teams, but on the whole as a club would never be considered A level club.

Excellent Point lost on many - "those girls would have achieved the same no matter what club they played for" so true. YJ coaching isn't great but the majority of the best players have gravitated to the biggest club for years. Those players she takes credit for would have made it playing for any club they chose. So why kiss the [lacrosse]?

Thanks for reinforcing the point that there is so little talent on LI and in the sport overall. Sure a handful of pure beasts out there but after that everyone is pretty much the same. That's why after you get outside the top 10-15 college teams you fall off a cliff talent wise. Have you ever watched a D1 team in the bottom third of the national rankings? they can barely catch and throw. Also the reason why this sport unlike any other could have the top D2 and D3 teams move up and immediately be in the middle of the pack. AVERAGE TALENT on all teams in all divisions again outside the top 10-20. If your kid can play you don't need the biggest baddest club. Coaches will still beg you to come play for them

They probably do have the most top teams when compared to other clubs despite the fact that certain age groups lag behind there. What is also true is that the vast majority of girls who play for YJ are not on the top teams, and if they are, are not the top players. So, if you want be on a team with 25 other girls, sit on the bench the majority of the time, just so you can drive around with a YJ sticker on your car, knock yourself out. Many people are smarter than that.

Believe it or not there are clubs that currently operate as non-profit. The problem...they are located in Maryland.

Non Profit sports programs are a joke if they pay their people. If they think there will be $100k left at the end of the year, they make the directors pay $100k I believe if there is $105k at end of the year, only the $5k rolls over to next year.
