I was simply asking if it's common to have kids taken from other teams either older or ringers I didn't mention any teams as these are 10-11 year old kids & 1 team had several as in more than 3 kids that looked obviously older than any other kids on any other teams & it could be they're just mature or possibly they are older

And yes I originally posted the question and there is no question that express was an excellent team they had a great fogo kid I am not insulting anyone I am just honestly wondering about the age because in football they take pictures and verify every kid at beginning of every age and I noticed they don't do that in lacrosse so it would be easy to slip in a few older kids

They are most likely older probably holdbacks as lacrosse goes by graduation year not actual age.

Tourney machine -6-3 Saturday.. 11-1 today. A total of. 4 goals in 2 games by TB vs 17 scored by Express SPIN THAT Starters did not play that's why. Coaches were having troubles with parents and showed them what would happen if everyone played

Yep that's the new normal. And taz kids playing with express. But it didn't help them There you are. While the rest of society are out for the night in restaurants, wearing nice clothing and sipping wine, discussing adult things. You are in your momma's basement crying that a 10 year old boy, who you obviously don't know at all, wore a different uniform onto a field. First of all, these are little kids playing a sport for themselves. Not for you and your lifeless, anonymous keyboarding tirades. It's quite obvious who you are. Get your facts straight before you keep posting

True Blue got beat by a better team. True Blue simply isn't deep enough to play with the strong clubs......too reliant on kids from Massapequa (and they'll pass over a strong player from another town for a Pequa kid who is friends with a few kids on the team). It's the same story for all ages. It's why True Blue will never be an A team. Strong town team, which there is nothing wrong with that. At least 2024 made it to the finals this weekend. 24 parent had a serious medical incident on the sideline and the game was halted. It was a very scary incident and the teams handled it the right way. 24 also forfeited their semifinal game in respect for the family. This was the classiest move of the tournament and let the boys know there is things more important than lacrosse. Thank god for the EMT parents that stepped in as I am sure there were a at least a Dr there that shyed away.

It's not changing Also said by the parents of the aforementioned sports' parents back in the 80s. It will happen - hopefully it will happen as a result of the sport maturing willingly versus it occurring as the result of a major lawsuit when inevitably an older kid hurts on on-age kid. Then, it will happen as a condition of obtaining insurance for teams and/or tournaments. Frankly, I am surprised insurance carriers are willingly providing coverage under the current grade-based system at reasonable rates.

There is no way every tournament is not insured - considering they are all held in third party locations makes that most likely the case. Someone dumb enough to actually put a tourney on without insurance is almost mind boggling.

So, just to be clear, you are saying TB ,more specifically Coach Cat, played the better kids less in a championship game??
Or ,might it be the starters played less AFTER the game was out of reach? (4mins In)
Both games were not close based on any metrics -GB's , Time of possession, Shots, GB's,Face offs,
The only thing TB had more of was SAVES by an excellent goalie.
TB is a B team, Express is not.

TB already talking about re-tooling for next year. 2 teams. One will try to compete in A, the other will be B. There will be tons of movement this summer

6-3 might sound close ,but if you actually watched the game, Express had the ball for 95% of the game >>>True Blue goalie had at least 15 saves. He alone is the reason the score was only 6-3.
Learn to really watch what's going on.

The starters didn't play - TB's top middie didn't even make the prior semi game. In fact, the top two middie lines were run ragged in the prior games, to the point that even if they had played, they would have been worthless. You cannot play lax with 6 middies in tournament play in warmer, humid conditions, especially when the team may play as many as four games in a given day, and six on the weekend.

There will be tons of movement this summer I wouldn't call that retooling - that was the plan coming out of last season, but they didn't get enough players at tryout to have 2 teams. Such is the dilemma for many programs that are not in the top tier: they can draw a decent group of the top 10 boys, but then the falloff can be steep, steeper for some than others. Just because a program/coach wants to build a true A team doesn't make it happen.

Express did not lose a face off and TB still kept it to 6-3. TB keeps on getting better no matter what people say. They keep catching ground on express just like the 2023 team.
