True Blue parents, here's a tid bit. You win a no name tournament or tournaments and beat your chest while claiming you are an A team. Until you play Igloo A and B, Express, 9D1, Outlaws Select and Gold, you are not an A team. You should have been playing in the B bracket today with the rest of us. My money would have been on Outlaws Gold for sure. why do you hate True Blue

Fat Crab taking the lead on moving to age based. Ha! The whole Crabs model is built on reclassing kids. He had bad spring when they ended early recruiting - going age based might just kill his "not profit" business. Won't happen.

Not a True Blue hater in general. Just tired of some local daddy's who run their voices to who ever will listen this team is the next 9D1, Express, etc. and can compete with the true A teams in Long Island. Some of the better players left this team and moved on to better B Teams.

In the super semi's I though the smaller field helped 9D1LI over the faster 9D1MD. 9D1LI no match for Hawks on the bigger field.

An already great team, the boys have improved and are playing at an even higher level to start the summer. Express looks forward to future competition with your team.

Oh stop your whining you ran the tournament which gave lane choice and picked smaller fields to help advance . That being said 9D1 A beat this Hawks team in John Carrol last year. So lets see whats different bigger yes, better B/N the pipes yes yes slower yes yes yes and finally added 9D1 B coach from last year who still has no answer for a big boy field . Hawks better

The smaller, younger 9d1 team played hard in their 4th game of the day. They left the field with their heads high and look forward to a great year of lax. The NLF tournament was a high end competitive event with a ton of 2022 talent. Hawks were clearly the best of breed. Let see what happens in MD

That's why most of the top MD can't go to WYSL they are to old . They will say it's not a good tournament but it's because half the players can't qualify because they are to old . Baltimore is the melting pot of HOLDBACKS ..

Anyone who holds their kid back before Kindergarten reg. other than for scholastic reasons is a 'Cheater'. Pure and simple. Can NEVER be fully trusted. And believe me, their close circle of so called friends (and town) know this. And if you don't think people don't talk about these parents behind their backs, they do. And it's usually not positive.

The blame should be placed on colleges. They wanted to see the kids broken down by graduation year for evaluating their incoming classes. Before the new NCAA rule, this would have applied directly to the 2021s and 2022s a lot this summer. Now that it is pointless to look at a kid until after their sophomore year, there is no longer any reason to use graduation years for middle schoolers or even freshmen. Let's hope the clubs do the right thing and institute the 9/1 cutoff for each year.

This grade has tons of great teams, coaches and players. No one should be embarrassed on how they played. The parents from all the teams were great. There was, and is, a lot of high level competition in this grade. Hawks were clearly the best team this weekend but it is a long summer and many tournaments to play. MD teams, LI teams and the other teams from around the country played their butts off and it was fun to see. Good luck to all the teams the rest of the summer. It should be fun to watch.

Weak, pathetic and shameful They really did a great job of Manipulating the Brackets - playing Laxachussetts first and losing and also including BLC in there bracket who beat Laxachussetts. Then the manipulated the playoffs by playing T91 MD who beat LI Express by 2 in pool play. Express and 91 Brackets were tough. Hawks had the easiest Bracket. Lot of great lax this weekend and this age group is deep. A couple of more Faceoffs won a few less penalties and I think anyone of these teams could have one; 91md, 91, Express, Crabs, TX Mustangs, BLC, Laxachusetts and obviously the Hawks. Should e a great summer. Enjoy these next couple of years because they will go fast.
