Definitely not my daughter. It's simply my opinion, we're all entitled to them. The poster thinks she's the top 2020 kid, I don't. I guess if your opinion differs from someone else's then it's wrong! In the end It really doesn't matter what either one of us thinks.

Let's be honest , kids commit to SB mainly because they don't have many other options . I am not saying these kids are not good players but Spalina seems to see talent where many other coaches do not and he is usually correct.

STOP....Are you serious or just stirring the pot. SBU cost is 20K. If you get 10K for athletic/academics you have a 10K yearly bill. They are ranked top 10-20 in lax. Its a good academic school. The schools is close so going to games is easy. If daughter has tough week at school she can come home for a visit in 30 min. CAA schools 50-60K. Private colleges/universities 50-60K. You get some break going south to some colleges to maybe 45-50K. It is a no doubt best buy when it comes to the financial commitment for college.

The very top kids left that team over the last couple of years. The best of who stayed is the kid who got hurt last season. Still some solid players there, but a very different team than it used to be. My opinion and, no I do not have a kid on that team and my daughter was not one of the top kids who left.

That's exactly my point , the more sought after players on Long Island have more options thru scholarships etc and rarely choose to stay home . Not saying I agree with other colleges opinions of who the top recruits are but in general he kids committing to Stony Brook have not been strongly recruited by other top programs .Whats the highest ranked recruit they have gotten since Spallina has been there . Again not saying I agree with those rankings but they do indicate a level of interest those players have received .

2023 is good, 2021 has been gutted, all good players have jumped ship.

The top girls in those classes will not be going to Hofstra, but if it makes you feel better, maybe there will be a spot there for your B team YJ daughter.

Are you saying that none of the top girls in older TG years have gone on to Hofstra or just that your group is special . Does anyone know what impact the new recruiting rules will have on a situation like TG where a clubs best coach and director are a college coach . Will she no longer be able to have contact with the majority of her own players ?

They lost more than a goalie, a few girls. Lost their top scorer as well. Everyone else is average, may even get beat by your own purple this year.

They lost their best offensive player a couple of years ago she went to YJ.

The three best players that they had, among the very best at their positions in the age group, have left over the last couple years. All ended up in the same place. Whatever, to each their own. Find a spot where players and parents are happy, and live with it.

What I really don't understand is that all we ever here is the best went to YJA yet they are a good team but not great? Maybe this is just a down year? Again this year it looks like they got a strong goalie but other than that they really didn't pick up a much. Looks like a bunch of small girls when they really need some players to hang with the MD teams. There are better players on YJB and these two teams will be closely matched this summer.

That's really nice to hear about the TG players representing at the FF4. How many were there? I'm curious about which club had the next most players representing.

It says (from the first page of the Top Gun Website website) Clearly trying to cash in on their fame:

How many of these girls are lies??? ... At least one is Kenzie Kent never played for Top Guns. She played for Mass Elite.. Lying Bill Smith....

All of these names are accurate. Kenzie Kent did play for Top Guns 2014 one year along with Shelby Fredericks and Kaileen Hart. It was the first year of Top Guns and that teams was instantly a very competitive team.

So girls who left Top Guns for YJ after playing one or two years for TG when they were 11-12 years old can expect Bill Smith to exploit their names for financial gains when they get older. Several of their top players had left for YJ and are committed to teams that will most likely make national championship runs recently. He should only post names of girls whom went entirely through his program (at least on the back end HS years). The Seekamp girl is questionable about the how much time she spent with TG too. But the Smith's are about the $$ and will use whoevers name they can to justify that means.

Just like the YJ. Anyone who played for YJ *ever* and went on to play in college is listed -- even if they play another sport in college.
