D went for a visit to ND, not a very welcoming team. Would have thought LI girl would have been kind to a fellow LI girl- could not have been opposite. Scratched off list, thankfully other options.

SB v MD up next. If you want to be the champ you have to beat the champ, right? JS gets his national title game early this year.

Nobody likes JS and if possible, MD is going to put a thumping on them.
If you took a likeablity poll of top 20 coaches he would be last by a mile but that's how he rolls...
Its a shame because it hurts his kids with officials and with playoff seeding

The Syracuse BC game will be a great one as will SB vs NW. I'm happy NW is on Li twice this year much better than flying to Chicago to watch my daughter ! To chime in regardless of what happens tomorrow what That coach has turned SB into in a short amount of time is astonishing but I think the wildcats could get it done

Heard JS post game comments SB is 100% fully focused on NW SB may get by NW, but no national title, you are way ahead of yourself there. They have a very good team this year, but not at the level of Florida. And Florida is not at the level of MD. There is a big spread between teams 1,2,3. Also, SB will broom off next year with the loss of talent.

Unlike some of these other coaches like ND who can get any one she wants because of the schools reputation and can't do jack with it!! To say J.S. is universally loved or hated is overstating. He has done a wonderful job at SB, and no one can deny that and his girls love him. He also can be very difficult, and clearly recruits from a single source, and if you do not come from that source he will not even speak with you. Other coaches dislike him not because he win, but because he his arrogant and tough to deal with. Now granted he has recruited from outside his normal course (7 of his las 30 from outside that source), but is that because that well is starting to dry up a bit? and with that being said will other sources recommend SB to there players after being Dissed for 8 years? In the end if your a parent or player from S.B. or Y.J. you love him . If your a coach from another college, or a player or parent not from Y.J. and have had the unfortunate situation of dealing with him you don't. IMHO Stony is doing well but have reached there peak and will never get any further under JS, they are equal with Northwestern who is clearly on a down trend. neither will get past MD.

Interesting I have a younger daughter from a different club and his 19 class is loaded with very good TG players. Regardless for years LI had nothing college wise. We now have a competitive team to watch locally and there is nothing wrong with having aspirations realistic or not. Being ranked 4 is not too shabby

I think people over estimate top talent and system. If players ratings and hype were everything ND and a duke would be better. Fit is everything Agreed. In my experience, girls from outside of LI do not 'fit' well at a place like SB or Hofstra, or even an Adelphi. It's not that they aren't talented, it's just a different culture. The 'outside' girls think they're going to like it, but when they get there reality hits and they realize it's not what they thought, and are very prone to leave after freshman year. So, JS HAS to pull from LI mostly because he's not going to get much talent from anywhere else. And when you have to pull your resources from a single area eventually it will dry up. Also, what happens when he has a bad season? The local talent will then just go somewhere else, where the coach isn't difficult to tolerate, and the area is nicer. Ut's gonna happen.

LI girls are very much a 'what have you done for me lately' type. So, like I said earlier, when a bad season or two comes, where will the LI talent go then? Outside of a sometimes winning program, what else does SB have to offer for a lax kid? The area? Hah!
