LOL! Best team in the country because YJs finally beat the SW 2015 Blue at a showcase where the intent is to expose all the girls to coaches not necessarily win? Hey JA - did you forget that the YJ 2015 blue (team 1) accumulated an 0-2 record this past summer against M & D 2015 Black in 2 different play-off format tournaments? Although you may want to forget or hide this fact, many of us remember watching your YJ 2015 Blue (team 1) struggle all the way to the end against the Top Gun 2015 Black team only to win by one goal and then get completely destroyed by M & D 2015 Black 6-2 in the semi finals at the National Draw. Although, YJs should be proud of their standing, they're certainly not the best club team in the country. Joseph Gerbels himself would have recruited some of you YJ parents for your ability to create new realities from thin air. BTW, SW 2015 Blue has 7 VCs to date, 4 to Florida, 2 to North Carolina and 1 to Johns Hopkins. Good luck to all of you next season.

Yellow Jackets 2015 team beats 2015 Skywalkers blue team at primetime in front of over 100 college coaches. Game was intense as always. YJ zero yellow cards Skywalkers 4 yellow cards.
Way to go YJ!! Great trip to MD where there is electricity and plenty of gas. Get a grip please the coaches are not recruiting the 2015's yet some are just starting w 14's any idiot who looks at lax power can see these schools are still working on 2014. You make the 2015 Blue team sound like its the USA vs Russia rematch from the 1980 Olympics. YJ 2015 has 3 commits already and many offers to others just like Skywalkers Best teams in the country!! Maybe verbals and certainly no offers for 2015's. Call the NCAA if infact this is happening. For most D1 schools, 2014 recruiting class is wrapping-up. 2015's next fall and coaches already started looking at the 2016's last summer. of course, just verbals, but I wondering for which colleges? Florida, Notre Dame and Northwestern and not listed on the YJ website??

You could join a local town, PAL-type team, but for the clubs that travel, i don't think so. You would probably be scheduled to play many of the same local and out of state tournaments, and possibly even be scheduled to play against the other team. I doubt the coaches/clubs would even agree to it even if it were possible since they each have their own plays and strategies. Not to mention your expenses, travel, and time commitments would be a lot! if you coach one team your expenese would still be the same - go for it!

there are no 2015's listed yet, boys or girls. They usually start to list them after the spring season. doesnt mean girls in 2015 are not starting to commit because it is not listed. if your so concerned, why dont you just ask some of the college coaches that you are speaking with?

congratulations to the skywalkers girls who are already vc'd they are a very good team. Lets all remember though that as the girls begin to commit to colleges, they will be playing together as a team and it would be a much easier transition for everyone if the parents would show more respect towards each other on this site and on the fields and try complimenting each other more rather than creating animosity. one day the sw, tg, and yj girls are going to be playing together and will be best of friends and the parents will be cheering them on together and hopefully celebrating together!

I would say one of the best teams in the country and possibly the best team but stop being so dramatic.Completely destroyed 6-2 tells me you are a bit of a drama queen.

Oh pardon me Gerbels, take a look at post #21787 on 11/04/12 @ 7:57 a.m. "The Best team in the country." LOL!

My daughter talked to a coach D1 btw that just finished her 13's last month...REALITY CHECK is needed...especially many of you 2015 parents...your team is NOT the best in the Country....first off...secondly let them be kids you'd be surprised how many girls transfer when they commit too young...mine barely knows what she wants to wear tomorrow let alone know what she wants do w the rest of her life...your rushing the process!!

Yes but would not recommend ,lots of conflicts and eventually one or both teams will get tired of it Somehow I'm sure the clubs could care less. They get the money, if kid misses tourny due to conflict it equals more playing time for rest of team oon an already over loaded roster.

Pick the best club team you're kid can make and stick to it, if you have a bunch of extra time, spend it working on speed, strength and agility. Most coaches will sacrafice some stick skills for speed and athleticism simply because the cieling's higher for athletes.

There are players on two rosters 2016 Team Eleveate and YJ 2016 BLUE "2" also 2017 TG and 2017 GOLD and I am sure there are more.

Any game w/o cards is great, good going. String a few together or most of a season to truely show a change of culture before you start call other teams classless.

you are so clueless and someone sounds jelous! A verbal still keeps the advantage on the schools side. They hope you stop looking around and then they buy some time to see if you daughter actually is the perfect fit at a latter date. There is no way they know their true scholorship position a few years out. They can have an idea but if someone else becomes available or someone has a breakout season that affects what money they have to give it affects the "verbal" Keep your options open unless its northwestern and that full ride LOL

Schools do take back verbals either they over commit or you can't make the grades. It happens ALL the time!!!! No, it does not happen all the time - as a matter of fact, a rescinded verbal agreement is so rare that new coaches coming into a program will honor commitments made by the prior coaching staff. Rarely will grades result in an issue with most mid-tier Division I programs. Often times, the grade transcript will be prequalified even during sophomore year. The grades combined with the expected course load (AP, Honors) will yield a fairly accurate academic picture. Board scores can throw the process off course, but generally there is some flexibility among the mid-tier schools on this point. That said, top academic schools (Top 40 according to US News and World Reports) will require more stringent academic standards and those guidelines will be substantially less flexible for all but the very top recruits in a given year. I have been through the process and it happened to my daughter who on my opinion is better off and happy where she is playing. So don't think that book is closed when you verbal it does happen. BOTC would welcome the name of the institution which withdrew their verbal agreement with your daughter. We suspect that there was more involved that just a grade situation and would therefore welcome slightly more information.

Every verbal has the amount of scholarship associate with it! You obviously have not been through the process an you should't give people misinformation. Final amounts of money are only determined when the contract is actually executed on National Signing Day. You are correct however in that indicative atheletic scholarship levels are often discussed and agreed as part of the verbal commitment process.

A verbal still keeps the advantage on the schools side. They hope you stop looking around and then they buy some time to see if you daughter actually is the perfect fit at a latter date. There is no way they know their true scholorship position a few years out. Actually, a verbal commitment places more power into the student-athlete's hands than the institution's hands. Universities do not want to gain a reputation for offering spots which are then pulled - it gives the athletic program a black-eye for future recruiting seasons. Upon a verbal commitment however, the player is free to still campaign with other programs for a better offer without fear of longer term damage. Now, one can argue the ethics of potentially holding more than one verbal agreement, but there is certainly nothing against that position according to the NCAA recruiting gudelines.

There are many people going through this process now and should not be stressing out about losing their place with a program. I am sure it may have happend, but I am also sure there were other factors! As far as academics, the colleges do their homework early on and some of them wait a bit longer to make the commitments to the players and will lose some prospects because of it. z4adGood luck to all!

It's not necessarily because were blue collar or white collar. Blue collar in some parts of the country is poverty level and in some parts its middle class. Its just that on long island the cost of living is so high when you make 150k your considered blue collar. Our kids are privelaged just because we live here period. Forget sports, in most parts of the country you have to send your kids to private school just to get a decent education,,,whereas on long island we have top 100 nationally rated schools and there public. Trust me we pay for it and we take pride in our ability to give are kids what we do. Ny in general runs mental, work ethic, and drive rings around most states. These southern teams just get mad because they create these tourny's and then we just come in and sweep em. Dont hate just train year round, work hard and long hours and maybe just maybe, youll be lucky enough to be rated as a long island blue collar parent. Until then, just spew your hatefull sh** and we'll be at practice.

There are so many teams in Maryland...DC...and even NJ that can beat out our LI girls both on the field and in the classroom. Look at the stats PAL there are just as many "southern" girls committed if not more at colleges playing D1. So before you start spewing you sh$@ look up the stats!! M&D Skywalkers CC Lax Tri State and fl$ and that's just to name a few clubs that beat or at least give all LI teams a run for there $$. Look at the top 10 nationally ranked high schools McDonogh, moorsetown, and st Stevens top three NOT from LI!!

Here's your top 16 s$@t spewer how many are from LI 2 1 McDonogh School MD 18- 0- 0 195.20 99.90 95.30 2 Moorestown NJ 26- 0- 0 190.54 99.14 91.40 3 St. Anthony's NY 16- 1- 0 187.53 97.81 89.72 4 Sts. Second, which of these tournaments did LI teams sweep? From what I saw, the MD teams dominated this year.
