Both teams have solid players with big rosters. The problem with A is they don't rotate players as much as the B. Too many on A sit the bench as B rotates every player. Coaching would decide the outcome of this game.

[quote=Anonymous]Igloo, Jesters, and Elevate?.......sorry, you must have read the posts wrong......they were talking about quality clubs. To be honest, not sure how LEG got on that list either. I would put Elevate over LEG all day long.
The problem is that these LI clubs rarely play in the same tournaments.
The only tournament in which a few of these teams compete in is the TG tournament at the end of July. YJ, Igloo, Legacy all played each other at Lax Blast last summer. Don't know about this summer. Scores?

YJ beat Igloo twice(pool and championship), both one goal games. Let's just say that Leg has some work to do to catch up to those two this summer.
I think anyone being honest would say that YJ, Igloo and TG were tops on LI last summer, and seem pretty evenly matched. Somewhat of a gap after that. Will be interesting to see what changes this summer will bring.

Leg has to catch up to Jesters, Liberty and Elevate before they jump up to the YJA tier.

The only tournament in which a few of these teams compete in is the TG tournament at the end of July. As the YJ teams get older they start playing games in the winter leagues and A team's routinely play the B teams. And yes they do cross paths in regular summer tournaments from time to time. If the difference is small now at 2023, just wait as the gap gets larger and larger every year. Trust me when I tell you at no age group other than 2023 is it even close. And yes I have a daughter on B team, and I refuse to be delusional!

[quote=Anonymous]This talk of B team beating the A team is absurd. B lost their best player to another club and will not beat the A team this year. I hope we do play B so we can shut everyone up about this and move on.
For the B teams sake hopefully they don't play if they do A team by 10 goals.
Waaaaaaa WAAAAAAA. Stop your crying. If all you care about is your team beating the B it's going to be a long season.1 because you should be focused on not getting dismantled again in MD and 2 cause your no impact kid will get no run on A team. Good luck sucker. By the way, you'll get beat by B again.

It doesn't matter, in another year or 2 it will be YJ A and everyone else like it has been and will always be. Sorry but the only people who care are frustrated B team parents and frustrated parent who left who couldn't make the A team. When 9/10 grade rolls around, YJA will be the first team to get looks and commit to the top lacrosse programs. Thanks, end of rant.

Interesting perspective....only you have no idea what you're talking about. There are no frustrated B team parents, they actually all love the B team, who beats the A team. The girl who scored all the goals against the A team and was moved up left, probably because the coaching has been a huge problem, Another very good A team girl left the program for the same reason. Several other stand out B players left to play for their HS coach, who will develop them much better than dopey Thorn. One of the few big and skilled A team girls was moved down, dumb move. The girls who were moved up were never stand out players, but the B team never relied on one girl, everyone contributed. Those girls, along with the newcomers will regret being moved up after a summer of riding pine, and losing games. If YJ is so great the best girls in the grade would be at tryouts. The fact is that there are very talented girls that are happy playing on programs other than YJ. As for college commitments, the best girls from all the programs will be recruited to the highest level college programs. There are plenty of YJ girls going to crappy schools that I won't mention. Get off your high horse and get used to the fact that 2023 is not a good year for the YJ program and never will be. Most likely due to the inept friends and family plan backfiring.

CR knows this age group isn't strong that's why they are going to weak tournaments like Lax by the Sea and the All Star Express. In Lax for the Cure they are in a very weak bracket also. CR is very smart and knows losing isn't good for business she's also a top recruiter of talent and will be looking to draw top players from other programs over to YJ to fix this age group.

Trus about the tournament selection. The problem with CR recruiting top players is that the coaches have a bad reputation, which is why top players are leaving/left. There are other 2023 clubs with much better coaches. Maybe she should think hard about the coaching problem. This is where the problem lies.

Yes Coach has terrible reputation and no one wants to play there but friends and family and they have that. A lot of NP kids on those teams too who most likely won't leave either a or b. .. doesn't matter a or b for them ...they will be playing great hs lax CR wants them to have better coaching most likely too. the coaches on YJ A are not invested in the team at all they just want to make sure their friends and family have a spot no coaching going on ... its a shame.. say what you want about YJA if you want to believe they are so great think that... you and about 6 others believe it...the rest of us all know..good luck chasing your dream of a D1 scholarship lmao...with the reputation you wont have a team by 10th grade

They came out of the gate very strong and had good teams at 2015 and 2016, gained momentum for the first couple years and had a very good retention rate for the black teams. Has definitely eroded for the last several years. Maybe all the hope pinned on 2023 will for once carry through, but this has happened before (2018, 2020) where TG seemed to be on par or better than YJ. But the tables certainly turned on those teams and likely will again for 2023. And the rest of the LI clubs that look like they may be somewhat competitive completely vanish competitively by 7-8th grade.

Thorn's team traveling down to Maryland to play in Laxin out Loud to play in a low bracket why bother. Playing teams like Hero's B team isn't going to help this team get better and Wright's team is playing in the lowest bracket. I guess CR has no faith in this age group. For crying out loud Leg is in a tougher bracket than Thorn.

They win bracket as do all the best teams in each bracket, then play each other in the playoffs. Opposite of this would be how National Draw does it, they stack all the top teams in one bracket and only one advances out to what is a joke of a playoff, but at least they get good quality games during pool play.

Opposite of this would be how National Draw does it, they stack all the top teams in one bracket and only one advances out to what is a joke of a playoff, but at least they get good quality games during pool play. Last year YJA was in a more competitive bracket in this tournament and got their asses handed to them. Starters stayed in the whole game and some girls didn't play at all after their Dads gave up Father's Day to drive to MD. They team lost every game and went home a bunch of losers with some very unhappy parents. They are actually playing in the bracket Wrights team played in last year and they went 50/50

Leg against Igloo appears to be the "Big" match up this weekend.
Must be one of those Battle by the Bay B/C level travel team tournaments. With all the prognosticating about YJA and TG battling for the top spot....it's refreshing to acknowledge the C division travel teams. The 2023 lax community gets to see the premier of Leg against Manhasset and Igloo. All those YJ defectors get to watch their 5 ok players try to play a team game with 6 weak players against teams TG and YJ would consider soft. Hope they can hang their hat on a win or two battling Kobra Kai, Jesters, Elevate, etc. How LONG will the summer last?

Who says we are battling for the top spot. Everybody knows the tg team is far superior. I hope they match up this summer! Also your post about leg ,iglo ect.. is nonsense! Give it a rest ,nobody cares about your insecurities. You sound like a jackass!

I saw Igloo play last year and unless they had a mass exodus they are just a step below Top Gun and better than the rest, including Yellow Jackets.

And that's why we play the games. See you on the fields. All these opinions are nothing more than that. Some TG person saying they know they're the top, calling people's comments insecure and jackass-like...well...you mean nothing ! The games will be the only things that mean anything, and even those...are for 12 year old girls. Get your grip together before the season starts.

I would love to face TG again no doubt it would be a good competitive game. Its a shame we are playing in the All Star Express which offers no competition while the rest of the YJ teams are going to a competitive Mid Summer championship in Maryland.

What position do you play? You are a player on the team right?

So....Igloo wins it all! What happened to Leg? The best they did was barely get by Liberty, which is nothing to brag about.

Leg had igloo on the ropes winning 4-3 half way through the 2nd half. Until RG decided to pull the 3 top girls off the field with resulted in 6 unanswered goals by igloo.
