Black ice beat Express 9-2 in the finals Was Express missing their two middies that carry the offense? Three middies and goalie

Yea, their 9th grade goalie wasn't a bad backfill. Doesn't he play for SA?

Yea, their 9th grade goalie wasn't a bad backfill. Doesn't he play for SA? The goalie made almost no difference. The reason being is that most of the games were not played in that end of the field. How many shots did he really see? Could have put a rock in net and Black Ice would have won.

So, word is new ER ban doesn't apply to 2021's until they become PSA's in the Fall.
So, for 2021's, will coaches generally stay at a distance this Summer and hence respect the spirit of the ER ban or will this Summer be a free-for-all?

Can't imagine that others won't follow this summer. A friend went to UVA and the coaches told him that they could talk to his son up until the end of school and then once he is a rising 9th grader, they can't. They even admitted that it was skirting the rule to talk to an 8th grader at this point.

NCAA Bylaw: 13.02.13 Prospective Student-Athlete. A prospective student-athlete is a student who has started classes for the ninth grade. . . . (Revised: 1/11/89, 1/10/90, Adopted: 4/28/05, 1/17/09, 1/19/13 effective 8/1/13)
Can NCAA coaches even coach club lacrosse for PSA's until 9/1 of junior year under new rules? I don't see how. But OSU's head coach can coach a 2021 team, presumably because not PSA's yet. Interestingly, though, I would think a ninth-grade repeat would be a PSA.

I think it was intentionally smaller this year for a number of reasons, one of which was that it was limited to play at Burns Pk. Which is to say that it may be bigger again next year or thereafter.

Anyone at the Nassau tryout ? How many kids showed - up? Who evaluated them? Suffolk tryout was a joke. They played 2 games, and picked the kids that they wanted to pick before it started. How can you evaluate players when the teams are so lopsided. One of the games spent 90% of the time on the one side.

Overview on the fl$ Spring Shootout tourney this weekend: between the two pools, the drop off between fl$ Nassau and True Blue versus the rest of the teams was significant. FL$ beat the Jesters 7-5. Either team could have won that one. True Blue played a close game against the Express North B team. FL$ beat True Blue in the Championship 7-6. Both True Blue and FL$ played in two close games each. Most teams in any tournament will have a couple of lopsided games. The top 4 teams Jesters, FL$. True Blue, and Express North B were all close in talent or equal.at least for this tournament. It was a nice tournament with some close games. You can't ask for more.

The final score was the smallest deficit of the game after the half for Express. I didn't see much of Pool 1 play, but how did Zingos go 2 - 1? Their GK was crazy good, but TB beat them in the semis 12 - 4, and without that GK, that score should have been closer to 20 for TB!

How do you not put the Jesters in with TB and FL$? Jesters played fl$ to a 7-5 final score and it was a close game all the way. TB lost to fl$ 7-6. Hardly a big difference. FL$ had a tough time with the Jesters. The game was close the entire time. The fl$ game against TB the outcome was never in doubt except for the last couple of minutes. As for Express North B it is ridiculous to say a 3 or 4 goal difference makes TB much better. You are clearly a TB Parent. We get it. You don't want to be grouped with teams like the Jesters who lost to Recon and other B teams the season. But the Jesters are a good team. No shame in being grouped with them based on talent level. At this point all of us know who the B teams are and who should be playing who. Obviously the directors of all the teams at the fl$ tournament feel the talent of those teams are close to TB because they ALL play only in B tournaments including TB. Nothing wrong with that. Accept what it is. You will have more fun. Good luck this Summer. True Blue 2023 has beaten the outlaw select team the last two times by at least 4 goals each time. I do not think they have ever lost to them. They also tied S2S last year and this year have yet to lose a game. They are a top team on long island this year.

Opinions? Sounds about right based on the fall. I heard that Icon lost their key players to Express. Express has 40 players, they should be able to overcome injuries. GC34 beat Ambush, so that could move them up to 5 or 6
