PT is a no shot, so much for Eskimo B? Why did some teams play 2 and some 4?

Igloo brought a bunch of 8th graders so they looked great. Very funny that the fogo from express does not qualify. Too old. That hurts them. 91 looked ok. Should be Express vs 91 in semis. Legacy vs igloo in other. Don't see anyone beating igloo though. I hope this stops the obnoxious express parent from going nuts on sideline whenever his kid wins a faceoff. He should win. He's over a year older than everyone in 7th grade.

Igloo was the only team that brought-down a half a dozen 8th-graders for WSYL. The world was terrible when Legacy did it to them last year and now AA has subscribed to the same practice.

If that is what they are doing what a bunch of hypocrites. I guess winning is more important than principle. Last year everyone was pulling for them because they did it the right way.

Clubs should just hold open tryouts for specifically for this tourney. Because (a) it's U13 not grade like the teams that are formed at tryouts (b) it's a capped roster (c) it's about winning and (d) it's about winning on national TV.IMHO, The ESPN involvement in this made this tourney different and the competition will only get better and better, both in our local region and other regions.
For those points above we should have no issue with clubs applying age guidelines to better their roster. It makes sense and will now be the norm, because teams in other regions will now most certainly do this. Trust me those other regions want nothing more than to beat LI team on TV.

not true instead of sending ARTIC BLAST Team igloo brought in 5 of their players from Black ice who qualify age wise as AA cant handle last yrs loss at the 2016 WS someone has an AX to grind..... I love how there are thousands of posts griping about holdbacks and now there is an age based tournament and you're still griping. So now you want grade based with an age cut off?

That will be the trend. Question. Was for just for kids on Igloo or open? If closed, then the next step will be somebody holding an open tryout.

The world was terrible when Legacy did it to them last year and now AA has subscribed to the same practice. if they have boys the same age as ours that are good enough to play up then they deserve a spot on the roster... this is for a chance to go to the world series and be on espn, our boys need to get better instead of those boys being left out.

MD - NJ teams: 1) Diamondbacks 2) Brotherly Love 3) Tri-State 4) BBL 5) Black Storm 6) Mad Dog
Can any of these teams compete with the Long Island teams?

This tournament is a joke and will continue to be a joke if teams have to be re-created just for it. None of the top teams in MD participated and that eliminated 90% of the competition for the long island teams.

API is the only elite MD team there because they have a team with no holdbacks. And they won the East. All other MD teams didn't compete because of age verification and half their team too old. Only the Diamondbacks can compete with LI. They beat Express Chaney last summer at Young guns and again at philly NXT wins over smash. Question is can they compete in their own MD spring league with elite teams that are not on age MD - NJ teams: 1) Diamondbacks 2) Brotherly Love 3) Tri-State 4) BBL 5) Black Storm 6) Mad Dog

It's like promoting the minor league World Series.

The joke is how many of this chest pounding club teams are filled with hold backs and they can't field a competitive team without them. It is hilarious, instead of bitching about the rules maybe you should build a team with age appropriate kids.

Probably not. The Diamondbacks are probably the 5th best team in MD and Brotherly Love the 4th best in Philly. Tri-State may be the best Jersey team but they are far down the list from MD and Philly teams.

What happened to that great express team today? I guess all the 91 defections didn't help. Addition by subtraction. 91 was the better coached team by far. Keep buying into channys line of bs though. And btw, igloo, did you really need to bring all those 8th graders to win? Coming into the spring you were the consensus #1 team on LI. Instead of dropping players for this tournament you should have played with your original team. Good enough to win.

They have video cameras for that now. 3 legit teams will be in this tournament and will beat everyone else by 10.

I do have a nice camera and I do take excellent home movies but somehow I don't think it has quite the same feeling to it. Sometimes you get an opportunity in life to do something a little different and this is one of those opportunities. There are legitimate reasons not to go, it is expensive but so is it all. I am curious to see if the rest of the country has caught up at all... we shall see how good your prediction is.

Did 91 play with the North Carolina goalie? No 91 played its goalie from United, who made several big saves when Express was winning 5-1, which would have ended the game. He is a great player and has shown it over the years.

Big improvement by T91 since the fall. Starting to play like a team and everybody contributing. Express has 1 kid who is awesome and a bunch of good players. Kid dominated the game in the first half taking every faceoff and never coming off the field as a mid, I don't know how he does it. Was spent in the second half which allowed 91 to come back and win.
WSYL qualifier was a very well run and fun tournament. The MD/PA Bashers would all be playing in it if they could bring their holdbacks. It's amazing to me that they can not field an age appropriate team. Hats off to API for at lease trying and I am sure they will be competitive.
It was only 2 years a go that the Crabs were there and embarrassed by Crush. Everybody that I know that has been there say it is an awesome experience.
