Maybe not as good as they thought… being anonymous lets people say/write things they might not otherwise to someone's face, especially when they pretend to be friends on the YJ sidelines. Truth of the matter is that Florida's defense (one of whom is played side by side with USC's freshman for years on their YJ team) was ready for the USC stud and shut her down, take her out of the match and USC offense is not as strong as Florida's. Well played by the Florida coach.

Feel bad for the girl that so much pressure and expectations were put on her....the reality is that the majority of HS studs flop in college.

Yeah ok, if scoring 3 goals against a top ten ranked team in the country(including OT winner) is a flop in college...where do i sign my daughter up as a flop? Majority of HS studs flop in college? your talking out your a$$$...like you have any stats to back that up.

She had a great game against NU. Florida has one of the best defenses in the country. She was marked in the game by last years number 1 recruit. A player that has played her many times. She is a freshman, there is a learning curve. She is very athletic and she battled in that game. She will be a great college player.

Hofstra lost to Fairfield And? Hofstra will be a 500 team at best this year and as far into the future as you care to look - nothing will change. Can't evaluate talent or recruit it and the kids that are there grow tired of playing for her and all her craziness very quickly

Towson handed it to Loyola today Loyola has looked like a bad HS team the first two games and it will only get worse, they can very realistically start the season 0-7. Adams looked overwhelmed and couldn't adjust in either game.

Some of you people are the biggest scum bags around . You are bashing a young women who is playing in her second or third game for not lighting it up . Did not watch the game but give the kid a break . How did the 3 time tewarton award winner play against UNC in the finals last year, every player has off games .

Coaches get too much credit. Many times the talent finds the coach same thing happens in club. Do the YJ's have the best coaches? In many age groups ABSOLUTELY NOT! But they do get the largest registration numbers and the best players so yes they are going to win a ton of games. Many college coaches are the same way

Get the ball-go to the goal!! The SS way! No player developement and no adjustments to her game. This is her warning year- if she doesn't produce she's gone, she may have been a decent player but clearly can't coach-even with daddy giving her directives! But hey, maybe they'll beat Maryland this Saturday!

Decent player, really? 3x All American, tewarton winner, and 3x national champ. Arguably one of the best players ever. Yes last year Hofstra stunk, however overall under SS they have been competitive and making your silly Maryland comment is just plain stupid. How many teams actually beat them the last few years? If Hofstra finishes 500 after last year I say she has done a good job of rebounding.

Why is this a warning year? Is she going to be fired? The answer is no. She isn't making a lot of money to coach. The program gives her very little. They bring no money in for the school. No reason to get rid of her. Why do you think she got the job right out of college? Hofstra doesn't pay any of their coaches a decent salary.

She got the job because they figured she would be able to draw local talent as she has local fame and club ties. And she does draw local interest. But she also has to compete with Spillina for the local talent and he has a clear hand up on her, even with the kids from her own club.

You really are an ignorant loser. You think you know more than the USC coaches or recognize talent more. The fact that you are bashing this young women from the results of one game tells the rest of us that there is some motive behind your posts. Lets take a stab , #1 recruit, U19 national team member ,great family, supportive mother and father. Could it be your precious little girl got snubbed for one or all the aforementioned accolades or you cannot stand that her parents are such nice people. Who knows but you are a loser.

I have heard that Stetson is really good this year! Anyone else hear that? How come nobody gets on them for their schedule. It is hard for top ten teams to play all the other top ten teams .....right. So stop with giving teams crap for playing other teams already!

Both campuses are lousy (Hofstra and Stony Brook). Hofstra is now $53k a year and I don't think their program uses their full scholarship allotment. Both educations are fine but a partial at SB gets you to below $10k

I'll bet your daughter is soft and you are fine with her being average. You unfortunately mistake demanding excellence for being abusive. It's ok, lots of today's parents do it.
But make no mistake your kid is being held back by you.

She will go wherever she wants.... she is a self starter who thrives under a culture of high demands and as a result is a high achiever.
If she wants to go, she will not have to ask. She will move ahead with her life prepared.
It's tough out there.... it's no place for softies.

But make no mistake your kid is being held back by you. Thanks Mary Beth, but that's not the case. He is cruel and singles his players out. He demeans them and attempts to destroy their self confidence. He's a short, fake tan, teeth-whitening bully with a Napoleon complex. I know of literally no one that likes him besides you.
