In two years it will be YJA and everyone else just like it has been for ever. Half the current YJA team will be gone and replaced with girls from these other clubs.

last time they played, Igloo lost by a goal in final seconds, so they could easily move up the rankings this year after they get the win. For now YJ is above them.

YJ would be better off staying back on LI and playing TG, Igloo, Leg, Liberty, etc. Those would be much better games to watch and learn from. Whats the point of driving to MD to get your [lacrosse] kicked, losing all the games you play? That's not fun, and doesn't make the team better like CR suggests, otherwise they would be a the top of the ranking. It would save the families a lot of time and money. I think CR believes the competition on LI isn't that good, but this is clearly not the case for the 2023s

CR doesn't make any money off the LI tournaments. Don't be naive. It has nothing to do with competition, only money.

YJ will be better this summer and in order to get to the next level we have to compete with the MD teams to see where we measure up.

How will they will be better when they lost the best players and gained nothing? They will be destroyed again by MD, Heros, etc. Maybe if they got an actual coach, things could look up.

I do not have a daughter on this team, but have watched the team play many times. While I do see some talented kids on the team, there is a completely broken mentality on this team. There is so little transition, ball movement, cutting and feeding, etc.... It seems the entire game plan is isolation and go to goal. I would have to say the coaches need to drastically change the playing style of these girls because the team will only be less competitive playing this style as they get older, and they can't afford to be any less competitive than they are now. It is great a kid can go to goal and score some goals in a game, but a team may actually be better off without that 'take it to goal with my head down' mentality. Like I said they have the talent, the coach needs to change the culture, good luck to them!

You only get better by playing the best. Only a loser would suggest not traveling to play MD to play their teams. I hope your daughter is not on the team and you are not passing on that losing attitude to your daughter.

If the traveling and cost is too much for you there are plenty of clubs on LI you and your daughter can join. Win or loss I look forward to traveling to MD this summer and playing MD's best.

The only looser is you. Both figuratively and literally. You think the team gets better going to MD and getting blown out? meanwhile they can't even beat / or barely beat other LI teams? You are delusional and probably the coach. Wake up and realize what's going on. The team is not up to par with MD and losing every game is not helping, especially when coach plays the "favorites" who are really just the [lacrosse] kissers who can't perform when needed.

You don't get better by losing to MD teams but you won't get better not challenging the girls either. The girls need to get motivated to work harder so they don't get blown out by any team. Playing soft teams won't help. The team has talent and with hard work will improve those girls that don't want to work will weed themselves out.

I agree with that, and the other LI teams are not soft, otherwise YJs would be blowing them out, or at the least be beating them by more that a goal or two.

We played the other LI teams last year and your right TG had a couple of girls that were great, Igloo had good players also but I have faith that YJ have more depth than those teams and will have an excellent season. Stay positive.

YJA has been training hard, clearly has the top talent and is going to open a can of whoop @ss this summer. The haters are always going to hate. Sorry but would rather be on the "lowly" YJA team then a "stud" on some startup.

You could always play up for better competition instead of leaving LI to take a shlacking. YJ can practice "hard" all they want. Bottom line, they don't have the talent or the coaches.

How do you "clearly" have the best talent when you lost to your B team two years in a row and the best girls left that team became they didn't want to play for your coach? Should make you scratch you head, ehh? No hate, just facts.

It would be great to have a club league on Long Island like they have in Maryland unfortunately there are to many personalities at the top of these clubs for it to ever happen.

An outdoor league would be much more useful. You can only get so much out of indoor.

The "Best" girls did not leave YJ-A. Two to Four of the BEST 2023 players are still in that team. A BBP girl in the top 10 left and an attacker. Where someone keeps saying "The Best" players left is from Mars !!!

A team will be fine, more talent left the B team and that team is going to be in for a rough summer. Nobody reading these post actually believes the "best" A team girls left except for the parent posting this nonsense.

BEST 2-4 girls still on the "A" team but they lost, twice to the B team......doesn't add up.

Or you may evaluate talent as well as the YJ directors that's why the A team lost two years in a row to the B team. That's embarrassing to the organization.

Sorry, to be considered one of the best, you need to prove that in games, those girls unfortunately were not able to consistently do that. The best girls are the ones who win games for their team. Don't recall many of the "A" team girls who stepped up when the team needed them to, as pointed out A team lost to B team. They were also blown out time after time in MD. Where were those "best" girls then? Now moving forward, many of the girls who produced for their YJ teams ,mostly B players and one A have left. So the YJ A vs B battle is not the same anymore as the teams have changed. We all need to focus on our new teams and we will see how the pecking order pans out. But for the poster who claims the best girls are on the A team sounds like a mommy with Rose colored glasses on! ( pun intended)

2023 is a very down year for LI. Couple that with the worst group of parents "ever for any age group" shooting their mouths off, it is sad to watch. Yes there are some talented players, I think the parents and mindset of this age group ruins it for all. Many kids will make it to top colleges and will be fine, but you parents are ruining the fun experience travel lax should be, RELAX.

I guess time will tell how "down" this age group is. As far as parents, it is aways only a few that can ruin it for everyone. The negativity, at least on BOC recently, seems to be coming from the cut, moved on, dropped, and jilted. As far as ruining the fun experience, I hope most of the girls are immune to the constant negativity on this thread. With the great weather today, my kids were itching for the season to start.

Or maybe from parents who are sick of the elite attitude coming from a team that is not.

as a coach you shouldn't be on here. Really. and you shouldn't name players. its unethical even positive spins. a good coach would never engage on a site like this, name players and talk about their skills. I understand you are trying to stop the negativity but you should recheck yourself. This is way uncool.
