I don't believe there is a YJ 2nd team player going to BC. Girls from the 2020 team, 2019 team and 2018 team are all on the Blue Team. I think you are right about Syracuse.

it's true. Girl recruited when she played b team. Moved up to "blue" after committing. Not all Blue kids get recruited easily for top schools. B team top players are recruited before bottom blue players. Put your child where they are happy and play (and can shine with confidence). It's about development. Coaches will notice your child if you put the time into camps. Also, top D1 schools are a not always a good fit for most players. It's a full time job on top of school. These kids are being recruited before they discover high school social life. "No drinking" contracts and early morning practices are not high priority for most college kids.

TG had a B team player commit to a local D1- top 10 program BEFORE any A team player had committed for that year. This was a huge problem for them and they had to quickly bring her up to the black team to make it look like they knew what they were doing.

It's funny how the second someone calls out yj for moving a kid to a after committing you need to throw tg into the convo. Such a loser

Girl on purple was moved to black so it didn't look bad in the eyes of the black parents. Girls family has connections with the school.

Top B player or top player on a weaker team will get recruited before the bottom of the A team roster because they always seem to be on the field unlike the bottom kids on a top team.
Coaches want to see you play and if you can play they will "offer" regardless of where you come from and who you play for.

Stacked? That's funny, they lost every game to the good MD teams, didn't get any new talent, lost talent. If those are the best girls in the grade, that would be scary. That team has about 4 girls who are good. They moved one of the better girls down to the B team (Dumb move). Too much Daddy/Mommy ball going on. Most of that team is just not good. Can't catch/throw under pressure, easily stifled by good defenders, turnover machines, weak shots, small, unathletic. Will be the same again this year.

Igloo, Liberty, Leg, and TG will all beat YJ this summer . And it will be fun to watch!

AGREE. This team took a nose dive. Moved great player to b team, moved lower skill B player who left then came back to A. Not a very athletic team. Maybe this year they will beat b team, but only because b team is dismantled, not because they are any better then last year. 2023 is an off year for this club. Lots of coach chaser parents in 2023

That's why a couple of the top YJ players went to TG in this age group.

The Thorn team won't even be able to beat the 2024 Williams team at this point. CR will have to schedule them against the 2025 teams at Mitchel Field so they have a chance to win something.

2018 TG has a girl going to Stony Brook. When she commited, she was on Purple. She was moved to Black after she commited to make it look good.

It doesn't say much for TG's ability to recognize talent when the first commit from the age group was buried on the B team.

I think it would actually make the club look better if more purple players were to commit to top 25 teams, but I don't think that they're smart enough to realize that

Quantity of commits always goes to YJ's hands down but after the top handful of girls, most girls are going to schools that anyone can play at

Quiet down. If you are going to blabber about your club and you kid non stop then go play big time. You tools lecture us non stop but the reality is only a handful play at the highest level in college. Anyone who plays in college should be applauded and its easy to root for the humble quiet ones

Humble and Quiet doesn't apply to 90% of club parents

Doesn't TG have their own forum? Not a TG basher, just don't need to see or hear about TG on a YJ forum. If I wanted to see or hear about TG, should be able to go a TG forum. As for commits go, different strokes for different folks. What gets lost in the whole thing is.....It's not about the parent, it's about the kid!! Every kid should ask themselves, "If it were not for lacrosse, would I even consider this school?" Not ever kid is a D1 athlete. And, not every kid is an Ivy. Yet, too many crazies bash their choice. There remains so many great opportunities for average to above average student athletes to play in college. Figure out what school your kid might be interested and go to their camp. Make sure your kid takes the lead. College coaches don't want to hear from crazy parents.

That comment is so short sighted. You seem to be under the assumption that every girl wants to play D1. The smart girls find a school that has a major that they are interested in, has a reputable school for that department, checks the flexibility of the lax program with it's players to see if they will allow for outside requirements, and ensures they are a good fit with the schedule and coach. There are a ton of crappy D1 programs out there and too many girls are going to them just so they can say they are D1. Many of these programs own these girls and restrict the majors they can declare; hence, that is why 90% of women's lacrosse players at top programs have undeclared majors.

Is that what you want from your daughter? To come out of school having very few employment options other than travel lacrosse coach? At least you can tell everyone that she plays D!, right? Good luck with that. My daughter received multiple D1 offers, but she went with a top D2 program that fit her post-collegiate needs. Does that make her any less of an athlete? Nope. It makes her smarter than most.
