Still have yet to hear of a specific kid who got denied admission because their SAT did not meet the minimum so if you are hoping those schools will have a spot open for your daughter think again.

reality can have a bitter taste to it at times - just stating a fact, if you think nobody has ever lost a verbal commitment due to grades you're not living in the real world. Btw a drunken Instagram/facebook post of a kid participating in who knows what will cost them as well, but I'm sure that you never heard of that either.

Yes have heard of a kid getting in trouble in high school and having verbal taken away but have not heard of any girl losing their spot due to academics . I am sure it happens but it's rare . Honestly if your kid cannot meet the minimum standards they put forth they really should be going some where else . You bitter parents try to use it as a way to push back against kids who commit early because you are jeolous but in reality it is rare .

Just did a great science project with my daughter. Wall ball against a basket ball back board metal, glass or concrete wall. How many more touches you get on concrete wall. It was amazing. Then I really wanted to expand my daughters knowledge so used the all ball pro rebounder...it was even better(jk -lol).
Conclusion for Study Parents stop banging your head against a concret wall worrying about the crazy recruiting process. Make sure they have fun and have a great holiday.

pick the showcases that have colleges your daughter wants to attend, if not, go to their camps directly... they have them all year round and some on LI.

pick the showcases that have colleges your daughter wants to attend, if not, go to their camps directly... they have them all year round and some on LI. Many of the camps these days have several college staffs combining to make it more attractive for people to attend. You see groups of 5-10 colleges running camps together, if your lucky you would see a couple that your interested in, then it seems worthwhile. If your daughter is not [lacrosse] bent on a single school, this style camp/clinic is ideal.

After they lost Rix and Stanwick ... sunk like a rock BC is always ranked #20-#60 in lax depending on the year. Great education and very good lacrosse but not great. You should be thrilled if your kid is wanted there

BC recruits as early as anyone if not the earliest and have made offers to many kids still in the 8th grade. They also cast a wide recruiting net. Its a good academic school in a nice location but will not win it all anytime in the foreseeable future.

Boston College has very good recruits coming up in the next few years. Great team was ranked #2 in the country two years ago, beat great teams last year and had close games. Lost to UNC by 1 in an amazing game.

Dude...FIVE (5) teams have "won it all" in the last 20+ years...so the idea that any team "wont win it all" in the foreseeable future ain't a real big stretch..idea that 97% of the girls playing college lax will ever win it all is pretty remote..so if a kid is good enough to make it into BC --one of the best academic schools in country--s/b good enough for anyone
2016 North Carolina 2015 Maryland 2014 Maryland 2013 North Carolina 2012 Northwestern 2011 Northwestern 2010 Maryland 2009 Northwestern 2008 Northwestern 2007 Northwestern 2006 Northwestern 2005 Northwestern 2004 Virginia 2003 Princeton 2002 Princeton 2001 Maryland 2000 Maryland 1999 Maryland 1998 Maryland 1997 Maryland 1996 Maryland 1995 Maryland

As far as academics its a very good school but there are probably 40 schools with lax programs that are better. Great choice for the kids that commit there but lets not oversell it.

Every year, there are 5 or more schools that can wit it all...and every year, at least in the women's game, the same teams are--by and large--in the final 4...while it sounds great that there are possibly other teams that can be champs, reality is that it wont happen...

It will happen, there are a handful of teams that will have a chance over the next 8 years. In no particular order: Duke, Syracuse, Penn, USC, Stanford, Boston College and a couple of others could win a National Championship. Virginia, Penn State and Princeton could all be back in the final four with a chance to win it all again. Add Northwestern, Maryland and North Carolina to the mix and there are 12 - 15 teams that will have legitimate chances to win a National Championship over the next 8 years (probably more like 15 - 18 teams). Personally, I think Maryland, North Carolina, Penn State, Syracuse, Northwestern, Duke, USC, Princeton, Penn and Stanford will be the front runners over the next 8 - 10 years. * Before 2001, this championship was a national collegiate championship. 2016 - North Carolina 2015 - Maryland 2014 - Maryland 2013 - North Carolina 2012 - Northwestern 2011 - Northwestern 2010 - Maryland 2009 - Northwestern 2008 - Northwestern 2007 - Northwestern 2006 - Northwestern 2005 - Northwestern 2004 - Virginia 2003 - Princeton 2002 - Princeton 2001 - Maryland 2000 - Maryland 1999 - Maryland 1998 - Maryland 1997 - Maryland 1996 - Maryland 1995 - Maryland 1994 - Princeton 1993 - Virginia 1992 - Maryland 1991 - Virginia 1990 - Harvard 1989 - Penn State 1988 - Temple 1987 - Penn State 1986 - Maryland 1985 - New Hampshire 1984 - Temple 1983 - Delaware 1982 - Massachusetts

This could be the dumbest most biased discussion ever on the board. I'm not saying Stony Brook should be on there but if you put Stanford who SB beat by 10 goals!!! And BC who they also beat how couldn't you. Truth is there is no way of telling it changes every year and comes down to who gets hot when it matters. This sounds like a bunch of daddies trying to justify them spending 40k a year. I would add Stony Brook who has been a top 10 last two years , Towson who has been improving greatly, Loyola a perennial top 15 as well. Be fair

Third if you look at the list of previous champions saying it changes every year and comes down to who gets hot makes you look like you are trying to justify sending your kid to a state school because of the money. Lastly if you are going to say be fair then lets talk about Stony Brooks performance in the tournament the past several years before you say they can win it all.

Very fair point I agree it's only a matter of time before someone else wins it and think it would be good for the sport

Completely understand your point but beating BC then losing by 1 to Syracuse who made Final 4 isnt too bad. But I get it. As far as recruiting classes rankings we all know for the most part those are not very accurate and my older daughter was a top kid that never panned out.

Thank You for clarifying the list I posted. The notion that the "team that gets hot" wins it every year is nonsense. The team(s) that win it every year come down to a select few. Facts are facts. Anddo I think it w/b great to have more winners thru the years? yeah it would be dandy.Who doesn't want that? But in reality, it isn't going to happen... Tell ya what, when one of those other teams wins it soon, beers are on me... Parents can send there kids to any # of D1 schools, but they have to know deep down inside that they cant compete with TOP teams when it comes to recruiting. So even though that team has nice little run in playoffs, sooner or later they run into a NC, or MD or a NW and get clocks cleaned. Thus the list.
